I’ve been listening to him for over five years, and he just keeps getting better and better over time. I attended his first solo concert in America back in 2019, in New York City at the Barclay Center. It was breathtaking to see him live on stage. And not only does he have a magnificent voice, he is also a very humble and compassionate young man. When you watch the theme song from the movie Endless Dimensions sung by Dimash notice his jacket there which he designed and had made to his specifications choosing the material, the buttons, even the exact flare of the sleeves. The audience in the Singer show are composed of professionals in the music and entertainment business, they are carefully picked out and very knowledgeable! All Contestant are professional successful singers and have years of experience . Dimash was invited as a wild card and wasn't expected to last more than 1-2 episodes. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card. He also was the youngest in the history of this competition. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video from Opera 2 where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. As far as I know, he lived in one house with the whole family, grandparents, parents and a sister and brother and some relatives. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in music. His debut album released in China went platinum in 37 seconds. He has fan clubs in 180 countries. He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. Dimash is singing SOS by Luc Plamondons a Canadian lyricist which he wrote in collaboration with the French composer Michel Berger. The rock opera is called Starmania, and includes SOS about an “earthling" in distress.

I’ve been listening to him for over five years, and he just keeps getting better and better over time. I attended his first solo concert in America back in 2019, in New York City at the Barclay Center. It was breathtaking to see him live on stage. And not only does he have a magnificent voice, he is also a very humble and compassionate young man. Welcome. Dimash was an unknown to everyone. The contestants back and the audience, no one had ever heard of him. He was 22 yrs old and the every first one to perform. The 500 audience members were the judges. He wasn't expected to expected to last but 2 rounds. There were 14 rounds. He won the first and stayed till the end. The audience loved him. After his first performance he had to have body guards. He gained 600,000 fans from this telecast in China. Glad you chose to react to him. I subscribed. I'll be watching for more.

I love it!The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and in 2017 made Dimash a mega-star overnight.
That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to TH-cam ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won).

There is a song called “Diva Dance” from the movie The Fifth Element sung by an alien which was computer generated plus singing spliced together from several takes. It was supposed to be impossible for a human to sing but Dimash sang it live at a concert after already singing for a couple of hours straight like it was nothing. When you watch the theme song from the movie Endless Dimensions sung by Dimash notice his jacket there which he designed and had made to his specifications choosing the material, the buttons, even the exact flare of the sleeves. He is meticulous in all details of his singing and performances.

Dimash is now 28 ! He is also 6'3 1/2 Inches tall. The audience in the Singer show are composed of professionals in the music and entertainment business, they are carefully picked out and very knowledgeable! All Contestant are professional successful singers and have years of experience . Dimash was invited as a wild card and wasn't expected to last more than 1-2 episodes. He ended up wowing the audience and became a super star overnight!! The only reason he didn't win - he came in Second- was that the rules forbid non Chinese from winning... After Dimash, they changed the rules, and the next year. Jesse J won...If you want to watch and or react to to this video, it is the newest (4 months old) Doccumentary about Dimash called "Dimash - The Artist" It has pretty much everything you want to know about Dimash. Isn't he awesome 🥰? SOS was the first performance of the China competition and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card. He also was the youngest in the history of this competition. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.
If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video from Opera 2 where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. As far as I know, he lived in one house with the whole family, grandparents, parents and a sister and brother and some relatives. And now he had to go to China alone, doesn’t know the country, doesn’t know the language and up until then he (almost) didn't speak any English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 19 so I can imagine…) And after that performance he saw his dad. Indescribably beautyful and emotional.
During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his style at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that 🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰.

This is the year (2017) and song that changed his life the very next day (Literally)!! He woke up at the Hotel in China and was assigned "Bodyguards" until the completion of the show 3-4 months. Dimash en ese concurso,se anotó y lo pusieron de comodín, por eso cantó primero,lo que no sabían los productores del programa con QUÉ, se encontrarían, Él es él mejor cantante y mejor voz del mundo. Y todos los qué los están conociendo es por sú excelente e impecable trabajo desde muy niño, y sús Dears cómo él nos llama a sús ( fanáticos). Lo acompañamos en todo. En sú país kasajistan ya era famoso en esos años,y con sú propio esfuerzo se está haciendo conocer por todo el mundo. Por eso quería saber si núnca habían escuchado sú nombre y quién es?? Y de qué país son ustedes?? En septiembre tiene el recital en sú país, donde empieza una gira por varios países. Es sú sueño que lo conozcan por sú arte. Welcome to the Wonderful World of Dimash! As a Reactor myself, this was a game changer for my channel! Dimash was one of my first videos back in April of last year, and I just hit 27k SUBS!
