The Zoya Hello Summer shades are re-promotes from prior summer collections. Not sure why they couldn’t come up with some original shades for us this summer. Lately Zoya has really been a disappointment for me and Orly has moved into my number one favorite spot.
I was so confused and disappointed by this too! They in addition to the pinks, they couldn't even do 6 new summer ones? Are they at least on some kind of sale as a set?
All those pinks made me curious about all your favorite milky pink/baby pink/light pink polishes! Both sheer and opaque. I love that just-off-white-pink color but it's so hard to find a really good, opaque, two-coater! Plus I love your "favorite (color) polishes" series haha, it's introduced me to so many stunning polishes I can't wait to try!
I remember Charisma having a MOMENT when it first came out. It seemed like everyone was obsessed and I remember it getting featured in a bunch of magazines. Nice to see it still impresses!
I wish I could be an instant expert singer. I have no singing ability whatsoever (like, really really bad and off key) and I LOVE music and I love to sing, and it sucks that I can't sing! 😂 As for this collection, I like the brights! Very pretty!
Love the polishes. Those pinks are stunning. If I were to be able to be an instant expert in something, I'd choose language. Knowing how to speak to people in their native tongue easier would be amazing. I know that's a little matrix like, but it eould be awesome 👌
I’ve committed to not buying Zoya polishes until they sell them with the Z wide brush already in the bottle without an extra charge. Having to switch out the brush is wasteful and bad for the environment.
I love the question today! I have gone to school for lots of different things and if I could instantly be an expert I would for sure choose auto mechanics since I plan to go to school for that someday too

Awesome swatches! I love Zoya! That Pink pallette is just beautiful! I already have most, if not all, of the Summer colors...so I haven't bought any of those. As for layers, unless it's a really thick polish, I always do 3 coats. I like the squishy look of more layers on my nails. Plus, with the base & top coats it adds extra protection for thinner nails. 😊
The thing I’d pick is music production so I could write complete songs on my own. Such a pretty summer rainbow collection. I’d love to see the purple in person so I could know if I need it lol
I already had Dory, which I totally love! When I saw that Zoya had a 70% off sale, I bought several shades including Ness, Angel and Charisma. I have not tried Ness or Angel yet, but I have Charisma on my toes right now. It is one of the most beautiful shades I have ever seen!!!! It is rich and bright at the same time! I ended up doing 3 coats on my toes, and 4 on my big toe. I have some white spots and they were showing through a bit. After a really glossy quick dry top coat, my pedicure looked perfect!!! I LOVE Charisma so much 💓 This stunning color is worth the extra coats!!!!
I’ve had Ali and Darcy in my collection for a few years. Didn’t realize they sometimes re-release shades as part of a collection? I wonder if they reformulated them at all. 🤔 Thanks for all the swatches! ❤
This is the first time they have ever re-released some shades and yes they have been reformulated because I own the original Ali, Heidi and Charisma and they are super thin 3 coaters and not fully opaque.

I moved off of them a few years ago- the color stories are uninspired, their current formula doesn't last as long on my nails with my current preferred top/base coats and I really dislike that there's an upcharge for the new style brush let alone the amount of it. There just isn't anything for me anymore.
Never really gotten into Zoya because of the price point, but there’s just something about them that always says elegance to me. The colours aren’t too flashy, the bottles are pretty … seems like they’re always giving a classy vibe with their branding, colour stories and mostly creme finishes.
I love these colors! What a great color story, too. Ness is so beautiful and Charisma is stunning! All of these colors are so pretty! Wonderful job, Zoya!
Love the colours Zoya have, sadly they are sooooo hard to get a hand on at least here in Norway :((( so few stores sell them... And it can be kind of hit or miss to guess what a shade of polish looks like irl vs on a website. Loooove these shades tho, ty for the review

I definitely agree with you I would love to perfect baking!! Even with following the directions I am horrible and always forget something or burn it. Always a disaster and my husband hates it lol well only think I don’t mess up is can cinnamon rolls haha but seriously I’ve found out COUNTLESS times who the pan size matters while baking brownies lol because I’ve used a big one once and at the full time and they were hard as rock and had to use the edge of the counter to break it and when I turned it upside down in the pan and smacked it it pooped out in one lol and the milk let me just say didn’t do any justice on breaking it down to soften it. But I was so proud and than so sad and to make me feel better by saying that they were that bad my grandma tired eating them lol I told her it’s okay because she couldn’t even with soaking it in the milk for 5 minutes

Thanks for the review! Paying extra for the wide flat brush is annoying and keeps me away from Zoya. The Charisma color looks a lot like LA Colors Fandom from their Color Mania line.

Charisma has been a fav in my zoya collection for a few years now. The formula in my bottle has always been a bit difficult to apply, but totally worth the color, so I wish they had tweaked the formula during this re-promote.
Side note- I’ve found that adding a bit of cinnamon to most baked goods is the best way to elevate our desserts. Especially with fruit pies. Can’t get enough of it.
Interestingly enough, I find adding a pinch of cinnamon is great for savory dishes as well! I sneak a bit onto my chicken and it really adds an earthiness to it that I love.
@@KelliMarissa You should try adding a little cinnamon to pizza (if you make it yourself). It might sound a little weird, but it makes a world of difference in the taste!
Totally not zoya related BUT!!! Sally Hansen released new toppers! I found them at my local Walmart & there’s one that’s a flakie top coat & it’s similar to Holo Taco’s Solar unicorn top coat. It’s so pretty! But yeah lol. I think it’s called Crystal Top Coat. I topped it over Sally Hansen’s Anything is Popsicle & so pretty combo! Wait a minute! I remember Ness & Dory lol. I had those when they first came out lol. I got Ness because it reminded me of the Lochness Monster 🤣 and dory because of finding Nemo lol

I just got Tracie today and waiting for Annie (which is what everyone calls me), they will never have my full name. Not sure why brands that I’ve found Annie’s are always reds. I have shine Annie by sinful colors, sweet Annie thing by Opi and soon Annie by zoya. Tracie which is my friend and mentor’s name from college days who helped in the darkest times. It’s such a pretty green looks like a spring rain or dew on the grass.
I think the reintro collection is fine if it’s one of two collections for summer. As a solitary, it’s lazy. And I bet they’re trying to exhaust their stock of thin brushes (?), but I wish they’d be transparent about their intentions. Will they eventually make the switch to z wide? Inquiring minds want to know!
I would love to see the permanent switch - but I do remember when they polled their customers on which brush they prefer, and it was 50/50. I wish they'd just give us the option at checkout!

I just got the Summer 2022 collection, and I was excited by Charisma, but was very disappointed when it dried down to a burgundy color. It lost it's intensity for me and I haven't tried any of the other colors yet.
@@KelliMarissa I did a 3rd and it just got darker. The swatch on a swatch wheel is exactly like the bottle, so I'm thinking it's body chemistry that makes it change color. Still pretty, just not like the bottle.

Definitely a pass for me. Zoya really has missed the mark for a while. I've been buying more Morgan Taylor. Their brush is perfect, the formulas are great, and the color selection is awesome. Nice review, Kelli.
Disapointment with Zoya (first in my country, the global) turned me to indies. Someone makes something I want to buy every month, not just once a year. My vallet is excited, too 🙃
Zoya have really been losing it lately. Their color stories are meh, they increased their price by 20%, an extra $2 for a brush that actually works with their crappy formula, and now releasing a collection of already existing shades?! And this is the second all pink collection in a year. GTFOH Zoya 🙄
Both collections feel like a letdown to me. The pink collection feels like a throwback to the 80s and the rainbow collection feels like they got inspired by Cirque Vice and then did it not so well.
That "missing element" when you're cooking is usually a little bit of something acidic. Like a tiny splash of vinegar or some lemon zest. Also, I really wish Zoya would stop implying that repackaged previously released polishes are new because it's just going to disappoint everyone.
@@KelliMarissa I saw the thumbnail of this video and wondered why Zoya would make duplicates of Ness and Dory for a new collection, but whoops they didn't. I'm not really sure if they're doing it with the intent to be deceptive. It's just kind of weird.
The pink set is way too warm-toned and tame for my tastes, lol. And cremes in general rarely excite me, so I don't feel tempted by any of these. Sorry, Zoya! :P You'd think that being good/experienced with baking would help me be good at cooking, but that's absolutely not the case. Baking is precise and the instructions are usually pretty specific. With cooking, there's a lot more eyeballing and "cook on medium-low for about X minutes" and that stresses me out! I want to be told how many teaspoons of something to add and how long to cook it at what temperature, not "add salt to taste and cook until meat has browned." Gah. But hey, if you ever find yourself about halfway between Vegas and Los Angeles, feel free to stop by my house and I'll help you bake something! I grew up baking with my mom all the time and make bread and cheesecake from scratch more often than I probably should, hehe.
Not really my kind of collections. But I did like angel. And if I had to choose I would say languages. Like knowing all the worlds and speak fluently in any country.

@@KelliMarissa Ohhhhh that makes more sense. Though yes they should have mentioned it. I have so many Zoyas that I could have easily bought them thinking they were new. I’ll have to see how my Charisma is doing. It’s pretty old so maybe I should get a new bottle. Though it is stunning and I love wearing it as a pedicure.

For the instant expert question: I would love to just magically know how to speak multiple languages. I have so much respect for people who speak more than one language. I don’t even travel internationally lol so it’s not like I’d put it to good use, but being multilingual would be so cool.

I just got the Summer 2022 collection, and I was excited by Charisma, but was very disappointed when it dried down to a burgundy color. It lost it's intensity for me and I haven't tried any of the other colors yet.
I found that the third coat helped it keep its intense color!
@@KelliMarissa I did a 3rd and it just got darker. The swatch on a swatch wheel is exactly like the bottle, so I'm thinking it's body chemistry that makes it change color. Still pretty, just not like the bottle.

The wide brush should be included with Zoya polishes. I am voting with my dollars and won't buy any more Zoya until they change it up.

Definitely a pass for me. Zoya really has missed the mark for a while. I've been buying more Morgan Taylor. Their brush is perfect, the formulas are great, and the color selection is awesome. Nice review, Kelli.

Disapointment with Zoya (first in my country, the global) turned me to indies. Someone makes something I want to buy every month, not just once a year. My vallet is excited, too 🙃
Zoya have really been losing it lately. Their color stories are meh, they increased their price by 20%, an extra $2 for a brush that actually works with their crappy formula, and now releasing a collection of already existing shades?! And this is the second all pink collection in a year. GTFOH Zoya 🙄

Both collections feel like a letdown to me. The pink collection feels like a throwback to the 80s and the rainbow collection feels like they got inspired by Cirque Vice and then did it not so well.
I think I will order Charisma and Shannon. Charisma for me, Shannon for my daughter Shannon..:)
Charisma faded on me after like one year, so be warned. Wear your neon purples as much as possible!
That "missing element" when you're cooking is usually a little bit of something acidic. Like a tiny splash of vinegar or some lemon zest. Also, I really wish Zoya would stop implying that repackaged previously released polishes are new because it's just going to disappoint everyone.

@@KelliMarissa I saw the thumbnail of this video and wondered why Zoya would make duplicates of Ness and Dory for a new collection, but whoops they didn't. I'm not really sure if they're doing it with the intent to be deceptive. It's just kind of weird.
The pink set is way too warm-toned and tame for my tastes, lol. And cremes in general rarely excite me, so I don't feel tempted by any of these. Sorry, Zoya! :P
You'd think that being good/experienced with baking would help me be good at cooking, but that's absolutely not the case. Baking is precise and the instructions are usually pretty specific. With cooking, there's a lot more eyeballing and "cook on medium-low for about X minutes" and that stresses me out! I want to be told how many teaspoons of something to add and how long to cook it at what temperature, not "add salt to taste and cook until meat has browned." Gah. But hey, if you ever find yourself about halfway between Vegas and Los Angeles, feel free to stop by my house and I'll help you bake something! I grew up baking with my mom all the time and make bread and cheesecake from scratch more often than I probably should, hehe.
