The most!! Thank you so much for doing this! Everyone seems to just throw ash toners on blonde hair and not everyone wants that icy or gray or bronde look. Is there a way you can change the tone of your hair without bleaching it?
I had to come back and send a huge thank you! There is NOTHING online as detailed and thorough demonstrating the science involved behind shopping for toner🙌🏿 I've wasted money on products following "other" recommendations but THIS! This is what's needed. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Oan, BTW, I'm trying to remove brass from a human hair wig. The happiness I have right now! #newsubbie🧡
This is the PERFECT video!! It’s the exact information I’ve been searching for, technically for years but in particular for days. Thank you so so much!
This is SO HELPFUL! Thank you so much! I will save this for ever hahaha I am the perfect example of how my thick dark hair looks when bleached and now I will for ever be grateful to you!❤️😉
This was the most informative toner video ever.!!! You should have a donation page. To say your ability to deliver valuable and usable content is an understatement. Bravo!!! I’m subscribing for sure ⭐️
Wow thankyou that’s was such a fantastic explanation on shadezq really understood what you were saying,I’ve been hairdressing 20years , that vid was brilliant; Redken should have You on their team wow Gurl you rock ❤
Saving this! Colorist went in with a full on 5rv when I asked for a tinge of red in my balayage. My money piece and roots looked hot and bright. I was able to suggest 6gn+5n to correct it and use 6gn+8gn+6nb to correct my zone 2 & 3. Thanks to you for breaking the color compositions!
this is incredible, thank you so much for your education. this is the best breakdown i've ever seen online!!!! and I've seen sooo much. You are the BEST!
You are so smart and you have explained this better than anyone else. Thank you! I am not starting with dark hair. My hair is a level 7 naturally, but I have some greys in there that I try to cover myself to save money. Hard times. I have been using box color Revlon no ammonia in a 7Ash. It is fine the first day or so, then my hair turns orange over time! I look like a clown, haha. I am a cool fair-skinned person, with cool grey toned eyes so I look better in cool tones no red or orange and this orange hair makes me look just horrible, I dont know what to do! I was thinking about going to a level 6 in something from Redken Shades EQ to cover it and do a balayage look with some nice highlights as I was a natural blonde in my younger years. I love brown hair so much but I dont want too dark as it washes me way out. I have no idea what to do. I still need a permanent way to color roots because of the grey, do I keep using what I have that turns orange (revlon box dye) and then just Redken Shades EQ over the top? Or do I need to find a new root color? And which Redken Shades EQ will give me an expensive brown look with that balayage highlights around the face separately? Is it 6N or some other one or a combination for the base? I am so confused and I look soooo ugly! Please help! Thank you.
This is so helpful! The first video that tells you the practical use, not just showing the color you get when you slap it on the sample, but what it will correct. Thank you!
I’m not crazy about NB’s they lean too warm in a cheep looking way... N’s are gorgeous and natural a a bit of 7NW with it it’s warm but not red looking
You are amazing. Thank you so much for this. I have been trying to get some brassy orange tones out of the parts I did a baby light on with higher levels and it just isn’t doing it. I will try this. My virgin hair is about a level 5. ❤❤❤
TU Very Much! You’re the professor I’ve been waiting for, truly. Extremely informative video. Sure appreciate your experience and time. TU for not playing LOUD music like some others trying to entertain us. We are here to learn. You sh be on the road traveling and teaching for Redken! Your own hair color is gorgeous. TU again!
They need to sponsor you or cut you a big check because this video will be watched over a million times and will be considered the most useful DIY in neutralizing orange hair in the years to come. We already know all the people watching this are heading over to eBay to buy these to fix their botched DIY job, thus dramatically increasing the sales of redken! Most videos recommend using wella t18 knowing damn well that won’t work on orange hair. So instead of Wella, this is going to be the new go-to. This was seriously useful! Thank you 🙏🏼
Omgosh lol ur video is so so so helpful and let me tell yah I’ve been searching for 3 straight days and night trying to understand and figure out what tontine my roots with to get this reddish orangey out. I’ve tried so many products but nothing works… I realize I’ve 1 been using them wrong and 2 I wasn’t using right time to start with so HUGE THANK U SO MUCH!! I could t be more grateful to stumble on this video and I’ve liked and subscribed too 🥰
Thankyou so so much for this video! Ima hairdresser and this is so usefull now i have all the shades in my head clearly how they will turn out with the undertone etc
I just really enjoy your tutorial. Thank you for posting all the information. I love Shades EQ but have found it rare to get a formal education this product. ....Please continue because I have learned a great deal from you!
Thank you for describing the background tones in shades EQ! . I find just a splash of 8gn can help with red , however I’m careful as it does have yellow in it. I also did not get the brass removal I expected with the 7P for some reason?
Such a helpful video! I've used a permanent dye and my roots are still slightly warmer - I want my hair to look like the 7N swatch all over. Should I use an ashier toner on the root or apply the 7N all over?
You can tell how much joy hair color brings to you by the way you talk about it. Thank you so much for the information. Can you do a color breakdown of 7G? Is it brown to tan background + green/yellow and therefore: Brown-Blue, Red, Yellow, Green/yellow- blue +yellow+(yellow). 2 cools (bb) and 4 warms (ryyy)?
This was hands down best explanation I've seen!! Awesome!! I'm a hairdresser but still trying to catch up on hair color. Please let me know if this is correct in connection with the background colors, is grey equal parts primaries? So black to grey and tan can you explain a little further on that?
I’ve searched for days for a video on out to fix my level 7 hair. The 6 bonus color I noticed you mentioned red a lot but it will also tone out the orange that has no red present? Also your hair is gorgeous! What color did you use on yourself
Thank you thank you thank you for doing this video. I am a stylist in New Mexico and a lot of my bleaching clients are brunettes and it is very hard to find a good quality tutorial on toning dark hair.
Omg! This is amazing my hair is copper Do you think this will Work the same it’s like Copper orange please tell me! Can I connect with you could you help me choose! Please I have a huge event coming up and I look so messed up! This is amazing!
Which is better to do a root smudge with the 7T or the 6abn on a level 7 brass root?? To get a dark mushroom brond effect. Thank you In advance your videos are the bomb I love them soooo helpful
Thanks for watching ...I would use 7NA instead... all the toners mentioned are brass kickers they help cut down on the brass...I having my first live Sunday April 25th at 4pm eat… Please stop by the channel, show some love and bring questions….
This video is so helpful! You really know your stuff! I have level 7 very orange hair, after highlighting it. I want to use one of these toners, but I also have a few level 9 highlights that I don't want to turn green. I would like an ashy almost gray brown with cool highlights. What would you recommend? Thank you for your educational videos! 🥰
Thank you for your video, this is my first time seeing an actual video that has addressed the 7 or 6 levels. My hair has the level 7 and was told that it looks fabulous. Well sorry, but it’s not for me. Your hair looks amazing, it compliments your face!! Love your videos!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have watched all your videos, comparing the wella toners to the redken, I like the colors redken has...but I think redken are sold only for professionals... I really like the 7NA and 7T .... I removed the dark brown color I had and now I have level 7 which is the orange shade, also I have white hair mostly around my forehead and temples. Once again thank youuuuuu.....
This was super helpful! Thanks for such a detailed description along with all of the test samples. Having a visual alongside each other makes all the difference! I didn't see toning with 7NW. What would the outcome of that be on level 7-8 Orange / brassy hair with some yellow in Zone 1? Zone 2 & 3 are a bright blend of levels 8 & 9 with some 10. Was deciding between a root smudge/shadow versus all over toning with 7NW. (I have a tube of 7NW)
Good lady this is just the video I needed! I have been battling in my head all night over a formula and you just broke it down for me with just what I needed to know. Thank you so much! Excellent video! I can make up my mind and go to sleep now! Subscribed!
Hello ! Thank you so much for this video! So educational . I'm toning my hair with a mix of 7n, 7na, 7vb (1oz each) 3oz. Then I'm going to add 3oz of Processing solutions on top on that..is that correct ? Thank you in advance, and waiting for your reply !
Super helpful! I am wondering if I could use a 7vb and dilute it with clear so much so that I can basically use it like a 8 or 9 V with P? For some reason here in Germany at the moment I couldn't get any of the V's so I went for the VB, which are much darker but I'm hoping I can dilute them? I was thinking it has the violet of the V and the blue of the P. But the black background color is making me worry.
I love the video. I am trying to decide what to do. I bleached hair 2x..I have green ends. I have uneven blonde 9 and 8 hair and my curls are gone. please help. which #7 color should I use?
Thank you so much for your video! Can I use 7na/7n for natural 6 level with very little gray? It seemed to me that 7na looks just darker on the hair, about level 6.
thank you for taking the time to do this I used the shades EQ 8N and it did cancel some of the orange but still it looks orange to me,I wish I knew what went wrong
ohhhhhh this is fabulous! i did lowlights on my platinum/level 10 blond with level 5 colour with red undertones, and now that it washed out it left this super reddish orangey strands while my natural hair colours is very ash. So now i need to tackle the red but i still have plenty of level 10 blonde hair intermixed, so i dont want to turn green xD so this is absolutely helpful and perfect for me - and i thought i should go for 7VB and this would have been terrible for me! lol so another hair disaster averted. thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful! Yes if are sure your hair is that color naturally... but if you dont pull red naturally I will not add to much of the ..7T and N will make you stay cooler..
This lady is a Saint. All these YT ppl begging for money all the time. I would donate to this lady
awwww thank you...
No joke. She is a life enhancer! That's a lot of product she used for us!
Oh my gosh, this is probably the most useful video in the whole internet! 😍😁 thanks a lot 👌👍👌

What an Angel. Finally Someone not saying “purple shampoo”. ! Awesome. I’m going to copy what you have- 7P and 7N for my orangey roots. It’s gorgeous!

Thank you so much for the thorough review. It's hard to find videos about toning brunettes. This was exactly what I needed to determine 7N vs 7NB.
thanks for watching...
I’m not crazy about NB’s they lean too warm in a cheep looking way... N’s are gorgeous and natural a a bit of 7NW with it it’s warm but not red looking

Thankyou so so much for this video! Ima hairdresser and this is so usefull now i have all the shades in my head clearly how they will turn out with the undertone etc
Love this. How regularly can I tone my hair? It uses washes out so quickly after the salon
Thank you so much! You are really gifted at explaining color theory! I have been wanting to dabble with a few new Shades EQ 7s.
Thank you.
I just really enjoy your tutorial. Thank you for posting all the information. I love Shades EQ but have found it rare to get a formal education this product. ....Please continue because I have learned a great deal from you!
Thanks. i will
I have watched this video over 10 times, I love it !
Mega helpful, I couldn't ask for a more definitive video
Glad it helped!

was your hair at level 7? Add a splash of 7NA
Such a helpful video! I've used a permanent dye and my roots are still slightly warmer - I want my hair to look like the 7N swatch all over. Should I use an ashier toner on the root or apply the 7N all over?
you ca mix a lil bit of 7NA to the 7 to give it alil punch of blue to kill the warmth... test a small strand of hair first before applying
I love how you show everything. Please do more videos like this😊
You can tell how much joy hair color brings to you by the way you talk about it.
No G has a brown to tan background.. Brown is Blue + red + yellow and another yellow hence 1 cool and 3 warms...
This was hands down best explanation I've seen!! Awesome!! I'm a hairdresser but still trying to catch up on hair color. Please let me know if this is correct in connection with the background colors, is grey equal parts primaries? So black to grey and tan can you explain a little further on that?
black to grey are dark blue based backgrounds that eliminates brass and the tan bases are the brown and neutral tones
Whatched your video like 10 times
BUT barely seeing your Bonus & it just what i NEEDed Ty !! Your awesome

Bless you! I finally understand what’s going on with my hair!

Thanks for watching..I really appreciate it!!!
Hi! Can i just do the level 7 bleach, and then just using purple shampoo to get ashy color??
purpe shampoo usually doesnt work for level 7 hair...use blue shampoo..Thanks for watching..I really appreciate it!!!
Thank you so much!!! Do you do a breakdown on any other color lines??
it depends if i want to try it
It's nice to see the results. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing!
I am not sure and cant be specific... but if the bleachin gis uneven.. you toning will be uneven also..root smudging with a level toner with shld do
Good lady this is just the video I needed! I have been battling in my head all night over a formula and you just broke it down for me with just what I needed to know. Thank you so much! Excellent video! I can make up my mind and go to sleep now! Subscribed!
thanks for watching
Hello ! Thank you so much for this video! So educational . I'm toning my hair with a mix of 7n, 7na, 7vb (1oz each) 3oz. Then I'm going to add 3oz of Processing solutions on top on that..is that correct ? Thank you in advance, and waiting for your reply !
yes 1:1 ratio
How did it turn out? What colour was your hair? What did you use to bleach?
This is exactly what everyone should be doing!
THANK YOU!!! I was looking for an acidic toner to balance the brassiness in my hair and this helps a lot
Thank you great video. What’s the biggest difference between 7NA and 7P is one more pigmented than the other?
yes.. NA is has straight punch of blue to cancel orange.. although the breakdown is the same with 7P.. the tonation different...
But the black background color is making me worry.
yes you can dilute the 7vb with clear so that it will be lighter...
Great job !! You speak so clearly!
@URMANEAVE_TV How did you figure our the amount of warms & cools within each toner? Thank you!
These are the best color theory, and product education videos. Thank you so much!
thanks alot for watching.
I have probably watched this video at least ten times, it is super helpful! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I love the video. I am trying to decide what to do. I bleached hair 2x..I have green ends. I have uneven blonde 9 and 8 hair and my curls are gone. please help. which #7 color should I use?
what color are you trying to get to?
Thank you for making this video! It's helped me understand the shades eq!!
Gosh this video is amazing. does anyone know what happens if I mix 07NB with 07NA?
So helpful to see all the tones on the same hair color.
they were
Thank you so much for your video! Can I use 7na/7n for natural 6 level with very little gray?
It seemed to me that 7na looks just darker on the hair, about level 6.
Great video, really enjoyed it! Easy to follow and clear breakdown 👌🏽😄
Glad it was helpful!
I'm so glad that I came across your page. 👌 helpful ❤.
Great information.. so helpful!! Love your explanation using the background amounts!
thank you...
This video was very helpful, just what I was looking for
Thank you
thank you for taking the time to do this I used the shades EQ 8N and it did cancel some of the orange but still it looks orange to me,I wish I knew what went wrong
thanks
You are my savior!!! Thank you so much for this video!!! PERFECTLY explained!!
thanks
Thank you so much for this! Making toning my highlights a much easier process
Glad it was helpful!
ohhhhhh this is fabulous! i did lowlights on my platinum/level 10 blond with level 5 colour with red undertones, and now that it washed out it left this super reddish orangey strands while my natural hair colours is very ash. So now i need to tackle the red but i still have plenty of level 10 blonde hair intermixed, so i dont want to turn green xD so this is absolutely helpful and perfect for me - and i thought i should go for 7VB and this would have been terrible for me! lol so another hair disaster averted. thank you!!!
i am glad this helped
Please do more tests like these! 👏🏼👏🏼💛
Glad it was helpful! Yes if are sure your hair is that color naturally... but if you dont pull red naturally I will not add to much of the ..7T and N will make you stay cooler..
Yes, thank you! I needed you 20 years ago!👍🏻❤👏🏻
Thanks.
I've been looking for something like this for a while now 🥳🥳🙏🏼🙏🏼This video needs more views!
thanks for watching...
Very informative! Thank you.
