Had mine for over a year and have close to 7,000 miles on mine. Absolutely love it! Nothing to break with everything being manual, solid axles, and a very fuel efficient diesel. It's the perfect back road and woods Cruiser in my opinion.
The Roxor is really a cool vehicle, I saw one in my area that is kitted out nicely for farm use, I could easily see myself getting one over a side by side. The diesel and manual trans is perfect for the application. Great video Brock!
Nice video! I checked one of those out a few years ago when the grill was different. The axles are a Dana 44 variant and take all the parts like gears and lockers available the D44. As you alluded to - it's pretty much a Civilian J five with a lot of parts availability. Of course they make diesel tuners for that engine and governor delete.
I've been wanting one of the Daihatsu Hijet mini-dumps for a while. The Hijet has the smaller wheels, and that's concerned me for creek crossings and such when the water is up a little. This Roxor could be the answer. I like that it has full size tires on it, has an enclosed cab option, and that it's diesel. Except for the dump bed capability (which I don't really need), the Roxor could be the new winner for me.
You can put ATV tires and a lift on those mini-trucks. Much cheaper than a UTV/Side By Side. The mini-truck is more practical due to the larger bed, and hydraulic or electric dump bed options, available rear lockers, I think a few may have a front locker but I haven't seen any up for sale in the US...Some of them have ac as well...even a new mini truck (which you can't even bring into the US as a street legal vehicle) is around the $24-26k range with the dump bed, larger wheel/tire package and lift kit to make it more capable....they also typically come with air conditioning and the factory heater/defroster....to get into a UTV/side by side with all that you are looking into the $50k and up price range for a full cab with heat and AC.
I test drove one 2 years ago in Wyoming. Mahindra build GP's (general purpose) for the allies in WWII. These things are 10x better than any common side-by-side. Also, 3/4 ton rating. They are very solid.
Its a pretty nice vehicle. Not perfect, but what is. Great for gravel roads, but really rough across a pasture. Leaf springs at all 4 corners and I'm still working on proper springs and shocks to improve the ride. I put on taller tires and lowered the pressure and that helped a bunch. Under 20k when I bought it less than a year ago in Texas. Great bargain for the money. Turbo Diesel with power brakes and steering. I've spent 5k on improvements including roof and windshield, but the best item was the half doors, which really cuts down noise and dust flying off the front wheels.
They look to be great machines. My only concern would be the weight of it in off-road situations where lighter SXSs would likely get around easier. But, for any other situation this thing looks great.
In other countries that Roxor is actually nothing more than your world war 2 Willy's Jeep but with a diesel engine in it rather than the old flat 4 Hurricane Engine. I kind of want one of those mini-trucks from Subaru, Suzuki, or others....the new ones I think cannot be brought into the US, but the older ones are brought in all the time...the downside is they're right hand drive, but you can get them with dump beds locking differentials, heat/ac...and about 1/2 the cost of a UTV (side by side). Most run a 660cc gas engine. A side by side (UTV) with a full cab, heat, and AC is well over $40k, you are looking closer to $50k or more....and people drive them on the roads....so there's no reason the Roxor cannot be street legal....reason they are so up tight about it is because they were sued for using the Jeep grill/body....but in other countries mostly India, they actually still own the rights to build the old world war 2 Jeep, so technically they weren't doing anything wrong....the fact is Chrysler/Stellantis, or whatever they call themselves now couldn't stand there is a very affordable very capable comparable vehicle out there compared to the over-hyped, over-priced Wrangler. I'd buy the Roxor before I'd buy a Wrangler. Although I'd want one with a cab, try driving one of those down a highway in the winter without a cab. The diesel engine has some low end grunt that the gas engines just don't have. The mini-truck would be more practical around the property because of the bed size, full cab, and capability...the Roxor is more of an offroad toy than it'll ever be a UTV.

@RockhillfarmYT Thanks! In my area, I will be able to do the same, as long as I add the signals too. It's a really appealing option. I don't use my SxS to trail ride, so I don't need the GPS and all the things they seem to want to add that push it to a $30k+ utv. What I do need is what this offers!

A friend of mine has a Mahindra tractor that's got several hydraulic issues with the loader because of how they designed the hydraulics, and always being operated in rough conditions all the hard lines break over time, multiple times because there isn't any flexibility to absorb all the frame/body jolts from regular operation of a tractor....so the lines get stressed and crack and break. This is a diesel powered off-road vehicle with automotive quality axles, brakes, and transmission that you can drive for the next 40 years and 200,000 miles
@@RockhillfarmYT Power Wheel is exactly that LOL. Tractor Supply sells an electric Golf Cart now...WTF kind of nonsense thing is that....and it only has a 15 minute run time on the ridiculously over-priced battery...made by Greenworks....yeah for the same price you can get a regular Go-Kart, and throw a larger engine on it and have a dune buggy LOL.
I haven't seen anybody up in the hills/mountains running around on those electric side by sides, still running gas/diesel machines up there, so are all the farmers/ranchers. Those electric side by sides are just for people to have an excuse to get out on public roads that have no business driving in the first place.
There is one street legal version available in India.. please search... Mahindra Thar....
ur out of ur mind
In that you would rather have a glorified golf cart than a true off-road vehicle?
What a great little vehicle. Mahindra sounds like a good company. Thanks for showing this. I also like the sales guy with the two thumbs up at the end. Nice work my guy .!!! 🦾🎯
