    Great review GGP. I have just bought a 2020 model standard gear box and like it very much. I had a lot of fears about the fuel issue as there is flaking in the tank but to see that you have 34000 km on yours without any issues is reassuring. I mainly ride on road and for me i would say that the AT is a world class leading bike. It is a pity about the paintwork as i have seen this issue on some of the forums. I would say that you will have many more miles on your AT. Health to ride. Ye must be born again.

    Hi, thank you for fair review! I have 2017 AT standard and thinking to upgrade to newer 1100 Adventure sports. Small problems with paint is not a problem for me, but there is one thing that does. In forums you can see, that some people has problems with tubeless rims, they crack in places where spokes go through outside the rim. Did you had such problem?

    • @GermangypsiesAdv
      @GermangypsiesAdv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never had any problems with the rims… 🤷🏾‍♂️ never had anyone had probs…

    Hi, Can you help me with something? what is the best setting for off-road ride on the tft screen ( I am new in off-road )

    • @GermangypsiesAdv
      @GermangypsiesAdv  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, sure I try my best.
      My current setting is:
      Offroad - Mode
      4/4 Power
      3/3 Engine Brake
      3/7 Traction -> I recommend more at the beginning. Approach yourself there to see what happens to the bike on lower levels
      Wheelycontrol: 1 -> as a higher level will reduce the Power at slopes
      ABS: offroad -> Better for the beginning
      G Mode: on -> better cornering in low speed
      Overall my Experience is, to find yourself the best setup, as you will learn to control your your bike while testing the different modes.
      Greez and enjoy Offroading!

    A question: world you buy one with DCT again? Or would you prefer a quick shifter?

    • @GermangypsiesAdv
      @GermangypsiesAdv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Welcome :) Well after I bought a GS 2 months ago, I would say a prefer the shifting. But this is just for the heavy off-road where i feel a bit more confident with the clutch. I think 99% is possible with the DCT… Greez Beni

    I cannot decide - Honda AT with DCT and electronic suspension or the new KTM 1290 Superadventure R ???

      @GermangypsiesAdv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Klaus, the KTM is for sure a fun bike! In my eyes the durability is better on the honda. But didn’t had the chance to ride the new ktm, yet. So I’m the wrong for that question! Sorry 🤷🏾‍♂️

    Nice review! What was the brand for the crashbars that did not perform as good as the outback ones?

    Hello mate! Many thanks for the review or your dream bike :) Besides outback motortek and barkbusters for protecting the bike, do you still have the original (plastic) radiator guards? What are you thoughts in investing on a aluminium radiator guards? Cheers and congrats for your project.

    • @GermangypsiesAdv
      @GermangypsiesAdv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thx a lot 🙏🏽 i do cause i dropped the bike without any crashbars and one of the radiators is now bend… so i don’t get a guard on them now 😅
      I mean sure its bettee protected with guards but i now have 55k on the the bike and never missed them 🤷🏾‍♂️

    Very good video. You said that you had to change the suspension. Did you order the bike with the semi-active suspension or the standard one? Btw some reviews claim that the bike is too heavy to use offroad (especially with luggage) and it might tip over if you're becoming too slow. Is this more a thing about how familiar you are with the bike or is this something you cannot get used to? Have a nice day. :)

    • @GermangypsiesAdv
      @GermangypsiesAdv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thx a lot🙏🏽 I orded the normal one.
      Weight is something which depends to everyones driver skills. I’m for sure no superpro but I think the AT is good travelmate. There are also some other bikes on the market which are less heavy but no one which fits that perfect to us. The ability to travel, drive offroad and the most important thing travel together on one bike ... hope i could help here :)

    Hey , great reviews mate. Love your videos 👍
    Had few questions as I am planning to buy one very soon :
    1. What’s the overall mileage of the bike Lts/ 100kms ? On a highway ride.
    2. Is it stable on high speeds ? ( just asking due to the thinner wheels )
    3. There were some stalling issues in DCT , did you face any of that in these many kms ?
    gs 1250 and honda African are on the list , Which one would you suggest
    (My riding is mostly highway riding with obviously bad roads and not Tom much off-roading though 😃)
    Thanks
    Cheers form india 🇮🇳

    • @GermangypsiesAdv
      @GermangypsiesAdv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Madhusudhan,
      It absolutely depends on your driving style. Normally I’m around 6,4l on really slow highway rides it can be also ~ 4,5....
      the stability also depends a lot on tires and the roads but compared to the gs there shouldn’t be much difference.
      I’m now on 42k km and there are no problems with the dct so far... as Honda build the dct over 10 years there is enough knowledge by them to built them without troubles :)
      As I said in the video... go and test both bikes and decide after ✌🏾

    Arriving at the12k service, I senced the bike was not running as smooth as before. Tft laggy and dangerous. Bike not suitable for 2people:75 +90 kg.

    • @GermangypsiesAdv
      @GermangypsiesAdv  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Toni,
      I had also some small strange Issues on the TFT. And it was also a few days before the 12k service but not that bad as you described... Did the dealer solved the Problem?
      What about the not sooth running? Can you explain it a bit more?
      And also wich Model do you own? I can only say that we are around 65 and 45 kilogram and the OEM suspension was at his Limit. There are many solutions of different suspension manufacturers wich will solve the problem. But you will also have it with the other Brands... All the suspensions are built for around 80 kg driver weight...
      Don't be mad to the bike give her one more try or test the GS for example. :)
      Cheers Beni

    I'm changing my atadsports. Honda dealership is shit. Incompetent and ignorant. Bike way to heavy and expensive. Not an offroad bike. You have to be 1.85 + to handle the weight well.

    • @GermangypsiesAdv
      @GermangypsiesAdv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just saw the comment after my answer on the other comment! As I already said in the video its absolutely possible to handle the bike offroad. I'm around 180 cm and also not that experienced as others. And I gave the bike a chance to... For sure you can't compare it to a lightweight mc bike offroad but!!!! can you drive onroad with a mx bike?! There is also the T7 maybe this is the better choice for your needs.
      Don't know wich dealer you visited but I'm happy with my one. (Motorradbox Dachau)
      I think these days it's very important to search for the right bike, dealer and mechanic. Not only buy something cause of youtube videos or the "name" just find your bike and give yourself the time to.
      Hope you don't see me as a smart aleck now. Just want the people not to lose their love to their bike cause of maybe the worng bike.
