Finally ditched my leaky Recon Cab Lights and sent my OEM cab lights in to the guys at RetroShop to have them retrofit with white LEDs, and paint matched to my trucks Delmonico Red paint!

I just ordered a set of led cab lights paint matched from a company called
Outlawleds. They paint match any type of lights for any model truck. Have tail lights on order as well. And they offer name brand headlights and tail lights from alpharex and morimoto. Can’t wait to install them.
I love my RECON cab lights. Never had any issues. Your truck looks good.

Lol my 20$ have freight cab lights haven't leaked in 6 years. Northern Illinois with rain and snow
Like the color match but I hate white lights. I love the amber color , might be ole school style. Plus alot of state your cab lights have to amber and on depending on what your hauling. But the great thing it's you truck and you can do with as you please.
Fair enough man appreciate the feedback! I like the way the GM trucks look with the amber for sure. If I bought one it would stay with the cab lights and whatnot. And yeah, cabs are supposed to be amber around here as well from my PA inspection class.
I dig the Amber too, but I might smoke mine out.
Mine are leaking, have to pull them off, and try to seal them up.

Yeah 200 bucks for cab lights is "dirt cheap" 🤣 had 30 dollar cab lights from Amazon for 2 years that never leaked

Never use silicone in wet applications that involves metal, it attracts moisture ! You should use Urethane or gaskets to avoid rust.

Im about to do recon on my truck.....Please tell which Urethane .....Lol...Which Ill just do an inside bead....Ill kinda trust the gasket,,,,,,,but still wanna do inside not the whole gasket
Question; Did Retro shop change the LED to white? You mentioned these are your OEM cab lights, but they come amber from the factory. Just curious as to who did the swap from amber to white? I have the same truck. Yours looks amazing! Thanks!
Yes they did! Swap to white LED and paint.
How are you able to switch those amber lights to white? I have my stock cab lights and I am trying to get white LEDs lights installed in them
Have to retrofit them white. Guys like RetroShop does it!!

Amber looks so much better in my opinion, everyone is running sterile white LEDs all over, it’s overdone now.
Looks good brotha, I my self love all amber lights coming from a jdm background lol and everyone dose all white. I feel like The automotive scene these days has lost originality these days a very small percentage still try’s to be different. Everyone just copy’s each other and please do get me wrong I am not saying your build isn’t clean just giving my 2 cents because well that’s why we post so others can tell us honestly what they think right.

Ehhh I think it’ll be too much red in my opinion on my rig. Have the perfect amount of contrast at the moment I think.

Good catch! Took em out for the time being until I figure out how to tint them properly. The Nightshade I used kept peeling off and looking bad and I even.
