I am preparing for marathon, I had some soreness and pinching pain for couple of weeks , I didn’t run in those weeks thinking it might go away . I did the first stretch which you have shown, I got instant relief. Thank you soo much .
Excellent! It’s great to see when simple movements and stretches help resolve problems. If you’d like more information and a customized program of stretches and exercises, set up a Discovery session. The link is in the description for the video.

Two weeks off marathon training, physio told me I need an mri to rule out neck of femur stress fractue. I did your quick test and was positive for impingment. Just followed this routine and my pain is not there! I actually can't believe it! Have you any recomended strengthing exercises to rehab?
I had similar issues when I first started doing these types of stretches. I found it helpful to initially work on being able to sit comfortably in a kneeling position ("saiza" position). Initially you may not be able to go all the way and may need to use your hands for support. As long as you can find a point where you are comfortably pushing your range without pain you will benefit and improve. From the saiza position try to gradually work on being able to transition to the 90 90 position. Note that weakness in your wrists, arms and other muscles used to support yourself may contribute to initial discomfort but these strengthen and adapt quickly after a few days of attempting to get into the various stretching positions on the floor.
Curious about typical recovery time for runner suffering from FAI. I have Completely stopped running, focusing on stretching and hip exercises for now for 4 weeks. Getting my shoes on and stepping up to my pickup truck is getting easier. I feel like this is just a long recovery time.
For me, I am having pain in the front, feels like in the socket, sharp and mainly in standing or walking when I get to the point where the leg is straight.
Am I supposed to be sore after the series of exercises? I can easily do them and it feels good, each one but after awhile it feels worse..wondering if it’s natural to feel sore until you build up strength?
Hip impingement doesn’t require a replacement anyways. All injuries can avoid progression by managing them early and well. These are just a few exercises we use but they are far from everything we suggest for hip impingement. We customize every program for each person
@Performance-Place-chiropractor I think it is too late for me! I already went through the operation 7 years ago, but i didn't last long until I developed hip arthritis and now I am back again to the same hip pain that radiates to the groin and sometimes I limp. I have bad days and good days, but for sure, in the near future, I'd need a replacement, unfortunately.
These videos are so clear and engaging. Thank you so much. This is exactly what I needed. Amazing content.n
Glad you like them!

Instant relief. Thank you. I had that inner hip pinch when I did the 9090
You're welcome! There are variations we have people do after an assessment that can help reduce pinching which is not desirable in this exercise
Great vid. Educational and pratcical for most people
Thanks
Thank you so much for these exercises, great ideas. Impingement in both hips, and osteo arthritis. Loving yoga.. needing some help..thank you 🙏

No way I can sit in any of those positions … not helpfully for my hip impingement, maybe for people with tiny pain

It varies from weeks to months. Generally speaking the sooner it is dealt with the simpler it is but most fair very well

Thanks! We take a lot of time making them. Im glad they clarified for you
Can you live with hip impingement just by doing those exercises without the need to do a hip replacement 🤔?
