Oh what a treat to hear this great boy play the song from my all time favorite movie. Sungha, you really are a treasure. You deserve all your success heading your way.
Cavatina is a beautiful guitar masterpiece that embodies a bittersweet composition that is why it needs to be played slowly and tenderly, and it calls out to its audience...!!!
I’m listening to it 12yrs later again, seeing where he is now, how great of a player he became, gives me this unexplainable feeling that you only get from seeing a big boulder or a tree.
September 2, 1996, a great ' MASTER OF THE GUITAR' was born in South Korea. That "MASTER' is Sungha Jung. HAPPY BIRTHDAY and may you have many more. Thank You for sharing your music with all of us, you play beautifully. So please play on Sungha. (Harry Trimble USA)
This piece is like child's play to Sungha but in actual fact it's really challenging to play. He deserves more credit for playing it so effortlessly! Well done Sungha!
Simply brilliant. We are so honoured to see this masterpiece of music by John Williams and Stanley Myers played with such ease by master Sungha... and for free.
I thought you were anything but "machine-like." You did a beautiful job and I enjoyed it a great deal. Congratulations on a very wonderful video. I have favorited it to listen again and again. Thank you.
This determination of emotion, or lack of it, by listening to a correctly played piece of music, is an illusion brought on by the visual effect of the person playing, his youth, movements and facial expression. If each note carries the length of time and the emphasis intended by the composer, which in this case it does, then the whole piece carries the emotion. So close your eyes and listen.
Questo ragazzo ha le mani d'oro, una grande sensibilità, grande sicurezza, grandiosa tecnica. Mi è piaciuto tanto. Commovente. Una delle migliori esecuzioni sentite. Bravo!! Bravissimo!!
A sensibilidade musical deste rapaz e simplesmente impressionante. Da um banho de musicalidade na sua interpretaçao; Parabens mesmo. Siga em frente , pessoas como voce sao um balsamo para o mundo.
@FeudalMoon no... no it's not.. classical guitars have nylon strings and wider necks that connect to the body at the 12th fret. Also it has a smaller body + plastic tuning pegs that are tied to slots inside the head. Acoustic guitars are mostly steel stinged, have a larger body and a slightly curved, thin neck. Also they're more braced inside the body to deal more tension. Their necks connect to the body @ the 14th fret and the tuning pegs are metal and the strings tie perpendicular to the head.
For me the one who plays this song the best is Xuefei Yang, she is fantastic. I can't tell you how many times I've watch her video playing this song, it is imprinted in my mind.
every time I watch you, Sungha, play this, I'm absolutely amazed, Cavatina is one of my favorites and you play it so well, but then I haven't heard you play anything that you don't play well. You're a Master, keep it up.

Such a rich, deep tone to that guitar, its makes your playing sound even more beautiful.
