  • Welcome. Today we are back in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg to tag along with the crew of this ambulance. They are about to cross half the city heading for a hospital located in the north side of town. This trip is 18 kilometers long and will take us straight through downtown saint petersburg. There will be cars, busses, pedestrians and trams everywhere, a real challenge for our driver. Let's see how he handles it.
If you’re fascinated by sirens, flashing lights, and the critical work of first responders, you’re in the right place. Our channel provides a unique perspective-literally-from the driver’s seat of police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks. We collect various videos from all over the world and add insightful context and commentary.

100+ km/h seems a bit fast for city streets.
When even pedestrians don't respond until you are almost on top of them, you need a bigger horn and more lights at rear mirror hight.

Russia doesnt have restrictions (or at least many restrictions) on their emergency vehicles when it comes to speed or movements in traffic when responding to emergencies or in this case transporting patients

At that busy intersection I get that cars might have some sound deadening, but the pedestrians should have heard it from much farther away.

The problem is the Siren, Its not loud enough and needs a higher tone.
Take the high pitch tone at 2:40 and look at the different reaction both from cars and pedestrians.

It's good to see how the system works in other countries, not too dissimilar though.
    Thanks for all the videos.

I honestly don't have the slightest inkling how anyone is even still alive in Russia, the way they are driving and acting in traffic...

    Those Sirens aren't very effective!
Not even pedestrians are reacting to it. It needs a much higher decibel tone.

That they aren't reacting is not due to the volume, but due to their mindset. They have learned that if you don't raise your head and give a shit, you'll be fine.
Imagine someone being gunned down by the mafia right in front of your house. Will you be a witness or have you seen nothing?
      They'll see nothing.

Also can't forget that the tram tracks are also wet, which makes them feel literally like ice.

What's with the extra overhead wires... Oh, their buses are electric too!

    • @MrShadow1617
      @MrShadow1617 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

Yeah, those are what most people would call "trolley-buses" as they usually run with two antennas but also some have a small diesel engine if they are switching lines and don't have the wires for the antennas on the way.
