And also once I make extract can I take extract to oil 1:1 ratio and again can I do distillation. Bcz I want to incorporate Extract into oil.

Curious, did you plug up the top of your soxhlet extractor. One some videos, I saw a thermometer on top.

Hi Steve, no its open. No need to measure temperature here. But when doing distillations its very nice to know the vapour temperature just before it enters the condenser.

You didn't use a filter in the extractor. Are they unnecessary?

Only necessary if small particles are present which can syphon back to the flask. In this case, it was not necessary.

Sir do you take ethanol to water 1:1 as solvent or only ethanol.

I would use pure ethanol if available
