I recently got the 200-600mm for my A7IV and now i need a decent tripod with a fluid head.

Is that a 70-200 you’re using in this test?
& do you think that this set up will be sturdy enough for Sigma 100-400? I’ve got smaller photography tripods, which are fine for my smaller lenses, but when I mount my sigma 100-400 there’s too much movement from wind etc.
I recently got the 100-400 so am looking to get a tripod that can handle the weight.
It’s mostly for timelapse, but I do shoot a lot of video also. I usually use monopod when I’m walking around filming but if this set up would handle the additional weight of the sigma that would be ideal!
The set up is A7iii in small rig cage, and the 100-400 + Freewell VND.
I have borrowed a proper legit video tripod of a mate at the mo, which is working great but it’s massive and really heavy so it’s not a long term solution. Especially seeing as I’m usually walking around with my gear in a back pack.
The fact that this head features the Manfrotto plate that is same as the gimbal is a massive plus for me.
Could you let me know if you think it’ll be plenty sturdy enough for the telephoto lens I mentioned?

Hello again. I haven't tried the tripod with a 100-400 lens so I cannot guarantee. I can say it hds my 70-200 properly though and it is a heavy lens. Also if you want to pan or tilt the tripod at 400mm you might wanna look at a more fluid head too. For still shots it is great

i just purchased this setup, and didnt know that it cant tilt side way. it only moves up and down, pans left and right. is there any way that it can tilt side way? maybe like change the centre colum or something like that ?
Hello there, thanks for the message. You cannot tilt sideways this tripod, no.
But, if you want to shoot in portrait mode though, you can rotate the camera on the plate of 90 degrees (instead of facing forward, face to one of the sides) and then tilt the head of the tripod down completely. That is a workaround.
Otherwise I reviewed other 2 tripods that can tilt sideways. Hope this helps. Consider to subscribe for more

Can you fix the the DJI OSMO directly to the quick release plate... than having to buy a separate Tripod for them ?
Hi. Thanks for the comment. I am not sure what you mean by your question though, sorry. If the DJI Osmo has a 1/4 inch thread at its bottom, yes, you can attach it to the quick release plate of the tripod.

Does the central column unscrew for it to open up at low level...or is an adaptor needed?
Hi Dave. Thanks for the comment. The small adapter is included in the central column of the tripod, as shown in the video. You just take the long central column off and replace it with this adapter and you will be able to go down as low as 9cm off the floor. Hope this helps. Subscribe and join my community. Ciao
Great video! Can I attach a ball head to that tripod and then attach the Fluid Head on top of the ball head? I just want to be able to tilt my camera sideways if needed
Hi Adam. Thanks for the comment. I am not sure to understand what you mean by saying you want the camera to til sideways. You can titl your camera vertically already on this fluid head.
Anyway, yes, you can attach a different ball head on the tripod and then mount the fluid head on top. You just need to make sure that the screw threads on the heads match, in terms of size. I would not recommend to do so anyway as the setup will not become very steady, in my opinion.

@@MamoAir Thanks for the quick reply! I subscribed 👍🏻 What I meant was adding some sort of ball head so I can level the tripod. I’ve done some research and I found something called a “levelling base”. Do you have any good recommendations for a good levelling base?
Hello, very good video, I wanted to ask you if it is fluid only for the tilt or also for the turn, because I have a Manfrotto head that is fluid but only in the tilt and I don't like it when making very precise turns because you feel the friction when come out of inertia when I start to spin.
