Cool. For European satellites such as HotBird 13 East, Astra 19.2 East and Astra 28.2 East your dish will work perfect. Those satellite can be received even with 40 cm dish, but in order to receive all transponders a minimum 60 cm dish is enough.
That's a nice find! Im using a 26" Voom satellite dish to get the NewSource mux on 87°w. Depending on where you're at and what you're after some of those smaller dishes can be put to work.
Cold day here Hughes net dish will work also i put 3 lnb’s on it also has that nice elevation rod on it , got it at a junk yard $ 5 There is a local installer that scraps them there.
I suspect my hughesnet 36" will do good. I got the avenger universal lnb and am waiting on a bracket exactly like yours. My dish did have a hughsnet lnb so I made a template to reference when putting the avenger on.
I scan about 109 channels in with Hugh net dish on 97w,i usually rescan all my Satellite locations at least once a month because of all the channels that comes and goes.
I use a digital LED meter with beeps. It's powered by the coax voltage and it's so responsive and easy. Dish and DirecTV dishes didn't quite work. I've never seen an explornet dish.
It is the rotational angle of the LNB. Satellites that are further east or west are lower on the arc have a greater skew angle. Your ‘zero mark’ is the highest point of the arc- right in the middle, forms a 90 degree angle with the horizon. Helps to capture maximum signal as it aligns the antenna elements in the LNB with the wavelength of the satellite’s signal.
I am focusing my ku band dish to 55 degree east...is there any possibility to get channels from a sattelite using the same dish which is 66 degree east at the same time
Focal Point is the Distance from the Dish to the LNB. Skew is the Rotation of the LNB either Clockwise or Counter Clockwise from a 12:00 position. Looking from the back of the LNB towards the dish then rotate LNB, CW or CCW. Hope that Helps.
It's to scan more than one satellite at once. Used when you have multiple dishes (or LNB's on one dish) aimed at different satellites all connected to one receiver. Here is an example: th-cam.com/video/nlBRl5GyVN0/w-d-xo.html
Same dish as a VIASAT dish, I use three of them. My others are HUGESNET dishes, I use two of them. Works great!

Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
87w,99w ku,58w cband and of course 103w ku are my go to places for news and live feeds.
@@donbest5024 103w only has a month or two left before ku is shut down.
Nice find!

Smart idea about the template.
@NorthcoasterHobby not sure if it will be exact for the avenger but a good starting point
Nice 👍
Thanks Again. 👍
You’re welcome!

Yeah it’s good to rescan often, I do too. Isn’t the Hughesnet dish bigger? Around 36”?

Just curious where do you parts for it
Some links in the description. I usually buy from Amazon or ebay. Thanks for watching.
What is LNB skew?? What is the importance of setting lnb skew
It is the rotational angle of the LNB. Satellites that are further east or west are lower on the arc have a greater skew angle. Your ‘zero mark’ is the highest point of the arc- right in the middle, forms a 90 degree angle with the horizon. How long can you run the coax between the LNB and the receiver before signal is degraded?
@@brendanb1541 if your dish is aimed correctly, then you should be able to run at least 100-150 feet of coax without issue.

Possibly- using another LNB.
cute dogg in the thumbnail
What is the difference between lnb skew and focal point
Focal point is the spot on the satellite dish reflector where the signal is most concentrated. I explained this in the video.
What is the focal length of Ku band DISH and how to fix it
Depends on the dish.
Every dish is different. The best thing to do is adjust the LNB while looking at a signal meter. Or measure the LNB distance on an identical dish.
anything worth while to watch ?? like to see a larger screen to view channels

What is multi sattelite search in receiver
It's to scan more than one satellite at once. Used when you have multiple dishes (or LNB's on one dish) aimed at different satellites all connected to one receiver. Here is an example:

@@NorthcoasterHobby thank u very much....can I aim more than one satellite using a single LNB??
@@sankarn.s5645 One LNB per satellite.
Depends on location, dish size and tp strength, scew tilt etc.lots of work.
Difference between DVb s2 and dvb s2x,
DVB-S2X is just a newer broadcast standard. There was DVB, DVB-S2, and now DVB-S2X (latest version).
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVB-S2X
Yes for example in Europe/UK the French channels are FTA via DVB-S2X on 5 West KU.
Satellite names degree
