I found out your stuff has a 50% chance of disappearing if you do the chest glitch on rock, and ice formations. I'd recommend to do it on the ground and not on a hill or formation.
Just a FYI for everyone with chest bug renewing your weapons and tools . It will not save your Enchants the weapons and tools will be full durability but they will lose enchantments
Should also note, when it comes to the chest glitch, always use a chest you Made, not a spawned one.. Least thats what happened to me.. Learned that the hard way

What I do is place a staircase and put the chest at the top ever since I’ve done that it’s always worked. Also if ur unsure about the area ur going to do the glitch just place a useless item in the chest like 1 wood or something to see if ur gear falls through the floor❤

malachite(Mal-a-kite) is from save the world it's probably going to be the next tier for weapons maybe even guns It's for 3 star weapons Maybe shadowshard(4 star) and sunbeam(5 star) will be added too since obsidian and brightcore are also added to this mode they are the other path you can go down for weapons Shadowshard/sunbeam(less durability but faster atk speed and more dmg) Obsidian/brightcore(more durability but slower atk speed and less dmg than shadowshard)
Too bad we can't really have higher tiers of items. I guess they will definitely do legendary, but I'm not sure if they could do mythic or exotic or even impossible rarity (dev weapons). It's good to see another save the world player.

To avoid it, just place a platform or foundation and put the chest on top, that way when you destroy the chest your stuff doesn’t fall through.

I was in a cave a figured save myself a few seconds and use one of the chests that spawn in there. I also learnt the hard way

Make a loom and then a glider! A fun way to get around.
Build a foundation and do the chest glitch on top of it. Prevents the loot from falling through the floor.
