When Sainz signed his contract with Williams, there was a leaked contract clause allowing Sainz to leave Williams if a seat at Red Bull or Mercedes (At that time) was available for 2025, even if the 2025 season was about to start with pre-season testing. What do you think, would Red Bull even try to commit with this or would they go with someone like Lawson or maybe even... Colapinto? 🧐
If they want someone who is going to be constantly in the points to secure the constructors and who is not going to challenge Max at the same time, Botas with his experience should be able to deliver that. If they want to gamble on a young driver who they want to mold to be the "next Max" in the future, they certainly have some options there as well
i mean bottas as of right now would accept as he has no other chance for a seat and this would be an opportunity to at least win races again and fight at the top again and show that he is not washed, i am not sure if he still could deliver more than riccardo could.
I don't know if it is wise to be a second driver for Red Bull. Max is always faster than another driver. If you have real aspirations for being a champion, don't go for a second seat next to Verstappen.
I find it heart wrenching when a driver is criticized, even if it's his fault... Because what they have to go through we can't imagine and no one in the world knows the true meaning of empathy... But then there's the financial aspect of the business and tough decision has to be taken, which is why it's HEART WRENCHING... It's sad to see Sergio not up there on top of the board and RB will be a massively concerned... So if RB part ways with Sergio it would be sad but inevitable
Technically yes, but obviously Red Bull have upcoming talent like Lawson & potentially collapinto, I don't think they would want to commit with someone like Valtteri, however at the moment, Valtteri would be an ideal driver next to Max. Consistent & experience, yet wont beat Verstappen, exactly what RB needs
I think RB has got a lot of rookie driver's like Franco... Yuki, Liam and others in RB academy can fill up... But I think RB need someone now... Sergio is similar age as Valtteri but Valtteri has better profile... Carlos wants to be the Alpha, coz I can't see any reason for him to leave Ferrari but yet here we are
Lawson has scored in 2 out of the 3 races he’s been in. He can get heated in the car, but so did Yuki. I think he deserves a chance, and if he doesn’t preform, put Yuki in the car
tbh, I do not think Tsunoda is the answer. Lawson is quite impressive, but the best driver next to Verstappen at Red Bull is a driver who doesn't mind playing the 2nd driver role when the field has set after a few races in the season. I do think Hulkenberg would do quite nice in that role for Red Bull but his name never drops in talks like that. One thing RBR shouldn't do, and that's to put 2 Alpha men as drivers in 1 team, that's just waiting for an internal war.
Its funny that they had Dan in the Redbull testing last year and he did laps good enough for Pole at the previous race then threw him in the average parts bin chassis TorroRosso to struggle. His driving style really suited the Redbull chassis but never got the chance. Would have been a perfect backup for Max. Definitely would have scored better than Perez and very rarely has accidents. Would have retained the Visa sponsorship too.
Believe it's time for new blood to be injected into RB and Perez to go. Even though there is sponsors that will go with Perez, RB simply cannot keep fielding a driver that cannot seem to hit in the points more regularly. Sponsorship money is important but I do not think it's more important than at least making it into runner-up position in the constructors championship standings.
A Lewis x Max lineup is probably an impossible scenario, however if Sainz would go to Red Bull, we could compare Hamilton with Verstappen a little bit next year because Sainz is Leclerc's teammate
@@FormulaTodayF1 ye all them drivers are really good, idk I used to like Lando but after not giving Max his propper props I kinda lost respect for him and I gained alot of respect for Lewis plus not to say anything but I think Lewis 1 is a bit old and I dont think he will be in the f1 for a good few years and 2 he will be going to Ferrari so Idk
Colapinto will surely replace perez as perez sponsor r ready with colainto (as per sources) ..plane was fully booked just to see colapinto racing in brasil..perez is only in rb just coz of money
Whoever replaces Pérez, RBR needs the driving style to match with Verstappen because RBR ain't customising the car for them. Though with Verstappen possibly aspiring to leave RBR anyway after 2026, I don't know if designing around Max would be wise.
@randar1969 dude, he ain't the only one with the sponsors. Pérez is popular with latin american audience too. Unfortunately for Pérez, Colapinto (latin american backing and ethnicity, even possibly Telmex backing), Yuki (basically honda) and Lawson (basically all the rich people of NZ) all bring differing levels of advantages to the table.

Your assuming Checo's sponsors pay less then the constructer loss profits..I am not so convinced about that.
@@randar1969 if there was sainz instead of perez, red bull could still be fighting for p1 constructors, as McLaren did all to help red bull
RedBull will select someone with sponsors backing.. Sadly, Sainz might not be that guy..

Good call (re Botas). Can’t see it happening though.

I think it could be a possibility... With Gabriel joining Sauber in 25, Nico confirmed and no update on Valtteri it could be an option

True but they should go ahead with Yuki first... Liam gets few years in F1 maybe then
4:52 Verstappens replacement???
We meant Checo, sorry!

even though rb is no more the fastest car, it is a car in which it is a must to hit the points each and every race unless you dnf
Yuki and Valtteri look like good options... Can't predict gotta try
Lawson as Verstappen"s replacement lol ;-)

It will be intresting to see if 40 year old Lewis can score more points next year then Sainz or Leclerq this year.
It's not like give improvement to perez car he will deliver more
Checo either had his cash cow Carlos Slim pay RB lot of money or Checo has some dirt on Horner
😂
Lawson is not candidate for redbull not in this moment . His performance is not so great .
More like it's too soon... Could try with Yuki
Vestappens replacment 😅😅😅
