Turbosmart Boost Tee Installation On3 Turbo Fox Body Mustang

  • Everyone rags on the stock On3 manual boost controller, for good reason. After finally giving up on the stock controller I picked up a Turbosmart boost tee manual boost controller, which is an air bleeder valve. A couple things I like about it right out of the gate is the detent on the knob. It gives the end user a positive way to count clicks for adding boost versus guessing on the factory On3 valve. Also the clear markings on the tee to show what does what and what goes where. Pretty easy for installation. The question is will this work better than the stock valve? After install I take the car out for a couple of pulls and datalog to see what this thing will do out of the box.
    *Sorry for the sound quality when in the car, the microphone was getting drowned out by the car, however hope you enjoy the turbo noises.

    Thank you for an informative video. I installed one today on Peugeot 207 Gti and I lost boost. Turned dial to "+" all the way until end of travel (past detents) and only improved very marginally. I removed the spring and ball like you and voila! Nomal boost again. Unsure if I gained or lost a pound (no boost gauge). What do you suggest I do to modify the tee so I can actually increase boost? Smaller or larger barb opening at pressure end?

    I am on a Tune and my Boost Cut is set at 17, I have a stock Juke boost solenoid, I only want 2 more Lb's to 19LB's if it creeps to 20 I won't be mad, But I was wondering if I put that in right off of the Juke Hot side Turbo pipe Ref line to Boost solenoid, would it trick the ECU into not seeing the 2Lb's it makes just by install, without even opening it up??? I just want 2/3 more LB's of boost without having to worry about more than that??

    I run all turbosmart stuff , bov's , wastegates , electronic boost controller for years on my drag cars . Thier stuff is the best hands down .

      I always run grimmspeed for electronic boost control I’ve had more luck with them.

    Maybe a mac solenoid for next year’s upgrade.
