Ngā mihi ki a koe Matt! Just came across your page and instantly sub’d, awesome content and very knowledgeable about the game! Teaching me a lot.. it’s awesome to see your respect for tikanga Māori, and tangaroa! You’ll go a long way in life with your attitude bro, safe travels and missions ahead! 🙏🏽
Another sweet vid Matt, that coastline is damn beautiful “i te wahi e tutaki ai te ngahere ki te moana” the place where the forest meets the sea…. These places always make me stop and soak in the soul of it when on the kayak. Keep exploring NZ for the rest of us who are desk bound!
Hey Matt... just a bit off topic lol but theres a coffee cup sold at Briscoes thats screw on top...push button to drink and a lock unlock switch lol and its a decent size cup and keeps my coffee warm for hours and no worries of spillage...sweet bro hopefully you come to Aucks one day and would be keen to go out Yakking with you...tight lines and stay safe out there bro!!
Been enjoying your videos heaps mate keep it up! Looking forward to the day we get a chance to head out for a paddle 👊🏼🛶 new reload looks epic by the way
Shit your good at this bro so don't stop and know that we love this kind of footage and your life style is what i wish i did when i was your age so carry on with this awesome style of living! You mana as bro!💪🏽👊🏾
Yip wicked spot where you were, i have fished there a few times and yes big fish are out deeper. Just a little further down is even better rugged country, still have few big donkeys that got away from me.
Looked like an awesome couple of days. Much better weather and launching than when you were here in Paraparaumu. Love seeing what the country has to offer. Thanks for sharing. Would like to know what weight jig head and hook size are you using on your soft bait.
@NomadicKayakFishing totally, ... its not flour though, simple wet n coat. Mean for on the road or on a mish, ya get more fish flavour with it than a curry 😉
East cape bro I was just at the camp site on my own two weeks ago. Was gonna get the kayak out too but got ill from some off kawaii as my fridge broke 😂😂😂
The vibes are gold but the unwritten rule is we never name drop the place. Just helps to protect the locals whilst still enjoying the spots we know on the DL
Just got a fishing kayak few weeks ago after watching you're videos took it out in the water for a fish a couple days back in aotea village kawhia ways but man it didn't tke long to realize i have no idea what im doing on a kayak 😂 also probably not fit enough. brother you make it look like a walk in the park Also you're video quality is mean too🤙
That's the dream 😅 but it's not fair to call what I'm doing 'work' when there's people hustling everyday on society's gerbal wheel of 9 to 5 mon-Fri... Thanks heaps tho!
Thanks for the forecast! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Depends on the depth and driftspeed. On a calm day I use 1/2 Oz under 15m depth and 3/4 Oz over 15m depth. If drift speed or current is fast I will typically opt for a heavier jighead. Hope that helps tight lines out there mate
It's the safest and easiest way to land a fish when fishing lite leader. Much less stress on the fish than a tail grab in my opinion. But everyone has there ways, I respect that bro. Tight lines out there!
Not all of New Zealand is accessible for everybody, As Matt clearly said it’s a historical pa site and the government doesn’t own all of the land thank goodness
Who said .... im from the east coast where this man is fishing & dont have the right to even speak.. & NO its not new zealand ok where this young man is fishing its called TE WHANAU A APANUI.. where I am from ask the locals be respectful & you get one of 2 answers either a YES OR NO.. so NAH its NOT GOVERNMENT LAND get your facts straight or be quiet & sit down if you dont know ok mr KNOW IT ALL.
Faaarrrrr cup idiot. There's more beaches owned by Pakeha that have closed access than Maori land.....and don't forget thief.....alot of that is stolen land given back to the iwi. If it's owned bynsomeone else...arenyou that entitled you think you can go on it....can we come camp at your house??
That's the stupidest thing I've read. The most land in NZ with blocked access is owned by Pakehas. At least Maori let you climb all over their ancient Pa sites, and we don't go climbing all over Windsor castle.
Thankyou for the respect of the iwi pah site...Kia Ora.
Some great fishing too, yum yum.
Cheers mate

Cheers mate. I'm running a 5/0 half Oz jighead when fishing the shallows like this
@@NomadicKayakFishingI appreciate the info
good video
Great video. If i was out in a kayak surrounded by sharks I'd be bricking it!
Excellent shark content!
Wishing I caught those big snappers. Plenty meat on them.
Well done, Matt.
nup, not sure where you are on the coast yet .
You're in shark territory.
And yes, I know where now.
Epic watch as always. Bro next time you do s supermarket mish, get some coat n cook, Diamond brand, ya won't regret it
Thanks bro.
I'm not a fan of coating my fish in flour, I think of seafood like steak- simple is best! (Ik it's an unpopular opinion lol)

Thanks for the forecast! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
What weight jig head you running with that red crusher softie?
Depends on the depth and driftspeed. On a calm day I use 1/2 Oz under 15m depth and 3/4 Oz over 15m depth.
If drift speed or current is fast I will typically opt for a heavier jighead.
Hope that helps tight lines out there mate
Hey - if you are ever going through Hamilton I may have a spare camera housing for you - even if you have one you can have this one
Thanks mate, not planning on a trip to Hamilton any time soon but cheers for the offer. Tight lines bro

Keep being unemployed so you can make more awesome content for all of us to enjoy 👊🏽🙏🏽
🎣🎣👌👍🇬🇧🏴
There is no need to gaff fish you are going to release. Just my opinion.
It's the safest and easiest way to land a fish when fishing lite leader. Much less stress on the fish than a tail grab in my opinion. But everyone has there ways, I respect that bro. Tight lines out there!
Isn't it New Zealand, don't you have equal rights for all New Zealanders in New Zealand? What's that all about? Isn't it government land?
lol…. Equal rights????? Nope no such thing here, Māori gets what ever they want and have way more benefits then the white kiwis.
Not all of New Zealand is accessible for everybody, As Matt clearly said it’s a historical pa site and the government doesn’t own all of the land thank goodness
