You asked how I got my Segundo Volante surging down the flanks. On this video I am going to share some secrets of how I play this role. I will explain it then I will show you how he moves and finally how he combines with other roles. There are a few standout roles to pair him with. I also dive into two tactical systems both use the role differently.

Volante is very great role. Attacking Wing Backs + Double Volante + Underlaps = Victory! Better than most strikers. Love the role, especially with a Regista next to them in front of a back 5. Would love to see you make a video about that. :D

What was the set up you used with the regista and vol with the 5 at the back?
Just curious since recently a buddy and I have been tinkering with a lot of 5 at the back set ups.

@@MrPercipience There wasn't much tinkering involved. Libero, 2 supporting WCB's, and then either a Regista with two attacking Volantes or one Regista and one Volante. If you use attacking WB's or Wingers and use underlaps the Volantes will make deadly runs into the box. You need to find a natural Regista, though and that is hard. Up front I like using a TM or Treq to hold up the ball, but other strikers work as well. A shadow striker behind that and you should be set up. Very solid defensively, quite attacking as well. Be aware though that you will have matches were it won't work at all.

Yeah I was debating whether I should use a shadow striker or a am on support , so I will give the ss a go for sure.
Again appreciate the extra depth you went into.
I find now with all tactics that they don't work 100%.
Normally I will adjust my tactic slightly every game to make sure it exposes my opponents weaknesses since I find when you don't you often.get those terrible 3 nil losses when you play into your opponents hands by default.

@@ianresc3615 just wanted to drop you a follow up mate.
So what I did was 5 at the back with a volante and regista.
At the back of course we're 2 wb on at , 2 cds on de, and a Libero, up front I went with an am on support with holds up play , a target man who also holds up play and an advanced forward.
Man the results I got were nothing less than astonishing.
Had to tweak the mentality etc but I won promotion without a sweat.
Anyone should try a set up like this you won't regret it in the slightest.

Question, I found a 4-3-3 tactic that uses 2 volantes and an anchor. It has the 'focus play down the wings' which seems counter intuitive as they cant stay wider, and it uses inside forwards who cut inside.

How about playing with two SVs? SV(S) and SV(A)? I've seen such tactics work well.

I am currently using a tactic that uses 3 DMs, an anchor flanked by two SV's on attack and DAMN.

How about players who has "gets forward when possible"? Is it a great traits for him or not?

Not really the GFWP trait could be good for someone if you were using the role on attack duty on. On support duty he could push off too early.

Get late into the box or gets into opposition area are better for a sv.
