Many thanks for a great video. Sometimes by changing the playing mentality and tempo will also help with how creative the passing can become. Eg, Attacking or V attacking will encourage players to push further forward and a higher tempo will encourage players to get the ball from the back to the front as quickly as possible. This could either be in the form of direct passing but also increasing the dribbling or frequency of passing to get it forward.
Generally the mistake most people make is with tempo and pressing on FM22. Choose to press everyone with OIs and your press can fall apart. And if your tempo is too high, sometimes you see hoof the ball. So it depends on how well you understand your squad.
Great video, covered a lot of things that I think I always knew but it’s nice to hear someone else say it to confirm my suspicions I was always under the impression that standard passing did not mean mixed, I thought it was basically set to whatever your passing is in team instructions. So if I had direct passing on team instructions and then set a players personal instruction to standard he would employ direct passing as the team instruction dictates I’ve also always thought that team mentality would play a role in this. For example, your anchor in the beginning of the video was playing in a cautious team mentality and he’s player mentality was ‘very defensive’. My understanding was that he would probably play very low risk balls and most likely hoof the ball the moment he was in danger of losing the ball Anyway, I really enjoyed the video, nice work 👍
Anyone know if midfield rotations are possible? Ex. The defensive midfielder moving to the right temporally and the left centre midfielder dropping deep.

Individual mentality is now meaningless now in FM22, more now goes into how a role plays than individual mentality.

you can sort of get this with a dm and a dlp on the side in front. it's used to make a double pivot in build up
