I'm so enveloped in The Unexpectables' NPCs. Compliments to the DM and the flourishing world building
The setting and NPCs are amazing. Alivast is my favourite setting I've seen in role playing, with the possible exception of my own DM's world. (Given I experience it as a player rather than a viewer, it's hard to compare.)

I have spent... THREE MONTHS! Watching every episode of this series to catch up on the series.... And as of Monday I finished this episode.... Working the Night shifts at a gas station gives me so much time between the rest of the D&D campaigns with Role with Me and TFS at the Table.... And I love this series so much.

I like to imagine that Boroc was just staring straight at Greckles the whole time he was eating those wings, and Greckles was just oblivious.
This was probably the best episode yet. My eyes are full of tears and my stomach hurts, so props to monty, greckles and borky for that last bit, which was a 20/10. Thank you!
All of these characters are drinking hard stuff and the players haven't had more than maybe a beer or some wine coolers. As someone who routinely drinks whiskey vodka rum first I find the Goliath's tolerance for the drink truly inspiring if not terribly frightening second one should try playing d&d when absolutely smashed

This may be one of my favourite episodes just cause it’s just them casually talking for 3 hours. I love the action as well but all of them are just so good at role playing their characters
It’s also why the Lys therapy episode is probably my favourite
Thank fucking god that someone called out Greckles for his zealous obsession last session. That blind faith is frankly disturbing to the core. Hell he has no guarantee that those visions aren't stilhavity's doing. Just cause it looks like from sun pappy doesn't mean it actually is. ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE SUSPICIOUS STATE OF THE CHAMPION'S BODY.
Not to mention forcing Solly into a corner like that was a real scumbag move that really ignored her own feelings on the matter to say nothing of his question to Brorc in this session being at the WORST possible time.
It's also pretty scumbag to fish information out of Brorc in his inebriated state. Especially since it was such a personal question that he really had no right ask. I hope Monty punishes him for that but considering all she's let him slip away with I doubt it.

Watched every episode, and I hafta say this one is my favorite so far. Never thought a D&D dinner party would be so wonderfully entertaining. Love this so much! You guys are great. :3
Idk. I feel like Greckles has disappointed me in a way. It seems like he's completely abandoned his backstory and his quest to find Yukiko. All in pursuit for trying to follow *Solly's* destiny. And what he doesn't understand is that she is still trying to shape a *new* destiny, he's now trying to get her to follow the old one which she obviously doesn't want. I feel like if he steps back from Solly, at least for a while, and focus on maybe shaping a new destiny for himself, it'll be a lot more likely they'll both be happy, maybe together maybe not
Won't spoil anything but a hint at something related to Greckle's backstory may of happened in episode 82.
Also, have to agree and kind of blame the haters/Monty/a little bit of Gaijin for why his original search has all but stopped.

Ok Greckles i thought you were making headway by making Sully smile last session but you need to tone down your zealotry in front of her, granted its what she needs to hear since she is currently in a gilded cage of her own making, but apologize to her, on all fours apology to her, she is a person and your friend first and a celestial to your new diety a far far second, and take task's advice to heart and hang our with her more often, but that can be hard since he doesnt have clearance to the districts to even see her

I liked Mel the first time they met her (even though she tried to kill them). As time went on it got real obvious there was no redeeming her. Plus the "happy-go-lucky necromancer" bit got old pretty quick. When they do finally see her again I doubt the gang will have the balls to actually kill her.
@@Dandamayn I hope they don't deal with Mel for awhile. She's so far been the only villain who isn't just pure ego. From the start she knew her own limits and knew when to the time was right to strike to get what she wanted. She even sent something to cover her tracks knowing that A: the unexpectables could rat her out and B: Averyman would get in her way cause, as proven with the Eltmer Loyalists, they don't like competition. Sure both attempts proved fruitless but at least she knew she needed to cover her tracks and to be fair to her she isn't that strong of a necromancer yet.

Did Remy ever manage to finish all his food? The group was there long enough for him to be able to eat whatever he couldn’t finish immediately as his next meal (although his food would’ve gone cold by then).

@@austaryxthelastofthesane3870 While I agree that the council has most of the blame here, Brorc isn't blameless in this situation. He was told to bring Ivan back, alive, not deliver justice himself and kill the guy. Sure we don't know the full story of what happened, but I doubt it was impossible for Brorc to render him unconscious instead of straight up murdering the guy.

So I thought about finally commenting my thoughts in a binge of this series and I have a few things to say.
First is with Greckles. He has so far been the weirdest in terms of his development. I’m not gonna shit on him like a ton of other people have, but I will say I think this development was a bit rushed and not handled the best. It feels like Greckles is kind of going too far into the zealotry aspect too soon. That being said, I think Greckles becoming a cleric or Paladin isn’t completely unjustified and is an interesting direction to take the character. Also kinda glad that Greckles isn’t leaning very far into the Solly x Greckles ship. At this point I kinda lost interest in the ship after the stilhavity arc.
As for Brorc x Solly, not super interested in that either. I don’t hate Brorc or feel his character has been that inconsistent, but it just kinda feels like one-sided pining from Brorc.
As for a ship I am interested in, I’m sad we didn’t get any mention of the fact Helena and Panic might have a thing during the crushes talk. I get why Panic wouldn’t wanna talk about it, at the moment he doesn’t really want to pursue a relationship due to fear of hurting whoever he’s close to and feeling like he doesn’t deserve it, but I would’ve at least expected Borky to bring it up considering he clearly sees Helena has a thing of some kind for Panic. But this isn’t a big problem, just a nitpick. For people who are fully caught up or further along than me, does anything else happen with that relationship? Kinda wanna know if I should keep my hopes up. Like does panic start to show signs of liking her or anything?
Overall outside of shipping stuff, I think there’s been a lot of good stuff. I still have complaints about the series, but nothing to break me from it. Keep up the good work.

It's been a while since I last watched/Listened to the unexpectables and I have been stressed with moving schools leaving my girlfriend and best friends behind for the time being and this really helped me. You guys are my favorite people on the internet.
So, i see a lot of people complaining about the story being limited by the DM. Did ya never stop to think that maybe the DM isn't FINISHED with what the players want to do? Makes me wonder how many people complaining have either never played the game or only BEEN a PC and not a DM. There's a big difference between railroading the party and enticing them to do something else. DM's don't have complete control, but the players also don't have complete freedom.
That said, Monty isn't perfect. I do disagree with the point by system because it hurt everyone. If you want to use a system, use it from the beginning and don't change midgame. I do have to assume they talked about this because if it was DM only decision, that's how game cancellations come about.
Task and Borky were doing tons of damage because of their class and subclass. Bards are very hit and miss for damage and Gaijin just had shitty luck on attack rolls. When he did hit, though, he usually hit hard because he eventually picked up on when he could use sneak attack. It really did nothing for Greckles, Panic or Remy, but it seriously nerfed Borky and Task.
To be fair, I think the main thing they had to alter with Task was his choice of weapon. iirc He'd been using a longbow since the beginning, which he, by the rules of the game as a Small size character, actually cannot even use without incurring disadvantage on every attack roll. Hence why, when he got his ice bow, it was resized to a shortbow. So obviously a nerf to his damage but in a way that made sense.
Though I do think the change to point buy also might've affected Panic actually, because he had a spell save DC in the early levels of 14 or 15 which means he started the campaign with a post-racial Charisma of either 18-20 (when the max in 5e being 20). But that's kinda the nature of ability scores and info we aren't privy to, all speculation. And to be fair, one of the most awesome and clutch moments Borky had was post-nerf vs Athtar, so eh lol
@@Mrryn Well this is a hombrewed game so I don't see why Task can't use a longbow. It was alright at the start when he was using one, it was only changed cause he dealt to much damage. Even though he still deals a decent amount of damage now so nerfing him just felt pointless. And the thing with Borky still would've had similar results cause his dex wasn't that great before the nerf and all the damage dealt to him was magical so even if he still had a lot of health, which as a barbarian is only natural, it wouldn't of mattered cause he'd still take full damage leading to him nearly dying.
All I can see is Dorros as Mr. X from the Rez 2 remake. With a death speedo.

I hope Gaijin knows what he's doing with Greckles cause some of the stuff he's been doing seems a little iffy. Im just wondering if that's what was intended or Gaijin doesn't realize it. I hope its the former.

Greckles path to divinity seems forced. I think he mentioned that his lost love was a worshipper(can't entirely remember) and now with his friendship with sully, I think he what's the connection. Of course him getting that vision probably solidified that for him.
My thoughts on it is greckles is forcing this... as gaijin has a plan

I get what he was trying to do with the whole Solly thing. Him and the clerics back at the orc tribe believe she' going to be the key to both fixing and stopping the Sun Nazis and he was trying to convey that to her. Problem is that that's not what she needs right now. She needs to go out and experience the world through and see it with her own eyes and meet the people of the world. She can't really do that now since she's basically a prisoner.
I'd chalk the rest of his interactions as him just now finding a god to follow and asking those who have been following a god for much longer then him what its like. Sure he still came on a bit strong and honestly should've toned it down.

The more I watch/listen to those episodes, the more I enjoy the growth we see in Panic, Task and Borky. Greckles however is going Vax'hildan's path being a rogue paladin/cleric of sorts while not being sure how to align his motives, his goals and flip flopping like a weather vane. Which, like in Panic's lesson with Lys, is going to get people hurt.
More than 60 episodes after Orun's folly and Monty having to give a morale talk to them through Lys, it's not a good thing.
It admittedly took vax a bit to come to terms, but when he did he was still as he was, just less moody for a while. Rogue/paladin was a very interesting class mix.
@@darkvizardking69 The sad thing is I like Rogues myself. But I tend to build my characters with a better balance of deep emo and hopeful wholesome bean, personally.
@@Angelofexecution and there is nothing wrong with how you want to do it, I build my characters to fit a theme of sorts, like a rogue I'm making will multiclass into warlock, fey warlock to be precise due to being taught by one as a child. It pulls into a more voodoo theme from being in raised that world's bayou.

This is the best episode name so far.
Great episode, loved all the deep romance talk, i do hope the guys eventually look into these problems and reports that have been plaguing alavast since the dormu incident cause a lot of hints have been getting dropped that they are still around and need to be taken care of. But i hope most of all someone has to courage (or stupidity) to call out the council on their treatment of the aasimar. Task or panic primarily.

Can’t wait for the next episode! It sucks that we’ll have to wait 2 weeks, but luckily, we have a continuation of the S-Series one shot to tide us over.
Also, at least this episode didn’t end on a major cliffhanger, except for the fact that the Unexpectables now know that the Sun Nazis are working with the Eltmur Loyalists or at least a group somewhat tied to them.

if you want to have fun playing through this train wreck I highly encourage you grab a couple friends (have a few drinks if applicable) and blaze through it getting as many cut scenes as possible, side quests whatever, and riff on the glory of its dialogue. and for the best experience on the gameplay *spam magic as much as possible* it 1-2 shots almost *EVERYTHING* fun will be had.
So I had this issue with the last episode, but I'm still not getting any sound. I clicked on an older episode, and that worked, but I tried the last episode and both 79 and 80 have no sound for me.
Weird I am not having any issues. I have tried it on mobile, PC and TV all with no issues.
