I loved this game just for the sheer number of villains they put in it. Like I think they got just about every member of Spidey's rogues gallery they could find. Of course I also remember this game was a buggy glitchy mess.
To be fair, a lot of Spider-Man games tend to shove half of the man's rogues gallery into a single game to varying results. I think it works here since it's the Animated Series versions.

It was on when I was in 5th grade and onwards so maybe I was just young and dumb. Classic ending for a SNES game haha…a little text, some jazzy music and credits, simpler times

The music is just...weird, Spidey has a Belmont Strut instead of always running, his mask-eyes are *pink,* the life icon has a longer chin than Jay Leno, it feels like someone made a weird romhack of the Genesis game. Like there's a lot of Genesis/SNES games that are either so insanely different from different devs or identical but with differing sound quality, but the fact this game is in the middle of those two is so strange to me. I don't ever think I've seen a 16-bit combo game where it was made by the same people, are clearly two different games from presentation and level design, but otherwise did share notes.
Well done. Ive just completed the game. I found the bosses kind of easy. But that alien spider slayer gave me some trouble, couldnt avoid some hits from it.
I like that there's so many bosses. But none of them even feel like true boss battles. You just kick them a couple times and they're dead. I'd expect a bit more tanky than that But this is from the SNES, so I guess I shouldn't really expect much.
One of my all time favorite SNES games. Right up there with Super Mario World and Turtles in Time. I've always questioned though why the Alien Spider Slayer wasn't the main boss of the second level over the Tri Spider Slayer. The opening cutscene when the villains are breaking out of Ravencroft are Doc Ock, Goblin, Smythe, and the Alien Spider Slayer, which would indicate those are the four main villains of the game overall.
The Guardian Robot is actually meant to be the original Spider-Slayer, the one that JJJ controlled in the comics, and Kingpin in the show. That blonde hair jumping mini-boss in the sewer is supposed to be The Kangaroo -- both are terrible designs.

Some enemies look a lot like Master Chief. Also, jeez the camera trails *WAY* behind. The fact that that's not a hardware or software issue and a deliberately programmed in thing is sad. Leading cameras like in DCK make sense, but lagging cameras are so stupid, and making it so that the character is only about 20 pixels away from being off-screen is ridiculous.
