The only reason that people can be communicated through music is because music is one of the universal languages that can be understood by anyone, even thought who can't see, or hear, they can still feel the heart and the soul of another person's art.
An anarchist is someone who wants a world with no rules or restrictions. An anarchist doesn't care about what is best for others. Tim McIlarth wants to improve the world. He wants whats best for everyone and wants reform in the government not for it to be gone.
damn i didnt know this song was like a message like i got it with the Ready To Fall video but these guys r like giving inspiration speeches and playing bad ass songs at the same time XD
@TheEcHo5411 First of all, a person is not an 'anarchy', a person is an 'anarchist'. And Tim McIlrath is NOT an anarchist, he is an activist. There is a big, BIG difference.
If they were filming in an actual store like Walmart or wherever, how did they recieve permission to just totally wreak havoc on shelves and shelves of products and televisions?
Why do people focus on how Tim looks? The band tries to make a statement and whether you agree with it or not, the only thing you focus on is how Tim looks? Lmao
@Frankenfurtfarter it bothers me that you think we're stupid just cause we're trying to find people who think the same way we do... doesn't really matter how we do this the fact is that we do.
@Disturbed2102 Rise Against is NOT Punk?? Ra grew up in the Punk scene, influenced by Punk bands like BAD RELIGION, ANTI-FLAG, DESCENDENTS, participated in ROCK AGAINST BUSH started by Fat Mike of NOFX, started on FAT WRECK CHORDS, and consider themselves Punk because well...they are. RA is Punk. They only have a few Alternative songs. And if you think this song or band is metal, alternative,"hard rock" then u need to listen to Black Masks&Gasoline, Heaven Knows, 401 Kill, Drones, Tip the Scales
I think Rise Against is more 'hardcore' than punk. Punk goes along with anarchy and fighting the government, while Rise Against is less about a disdain for the system and more about trying to improve it and get people to be conscious of shit. I wouldn't call them a punk band, I'd call them (like someone said earlier) an activist band. They're willing to work with the industry to get their message out, and while there's nothing wrong with that and it's admirable and shit, it isn't punk.
@SamPointOah Are you serious?? You probably think "Punk" still sounds like Dead Kennedys. Well... it does not. Punk has evolved. Yes, they're less hardcore, but they're still Punk just like Bad Religion, NoFX, Anti-Flag, Flatliners, Pennywise, Strike Anywhere, Descendents, Flogging Molly, Black Pacific etc. The whole squatter Punk days are long over.
@SuperHippyHater consumerism is an actual term, have you ever been in an economics class? I'll answer that for you, NO, and you probably never even went to school.
@Nightmare356 CONSUMERISM? you mean consumption have you ever been to school you know that place that if you listened you wouldnt look stupid on places like youtube
I would just like to say that before this video played, there was a McDonalds advert. What the fuck is that all about? A McDonalds advert before a song by a fully-vegan band who regularly support PETA? Google Advertisement SUCKS!
Yeah, but we still have no answer for the mistery of Tim's endless microphone wire ...
Very smart lead singer to incorporate this kind of message into a song and video
1. love his eyes
2. love this song
3. love this video
4. LOVE BREAKING STUFF!!!
Lol a t 6:17 " I've been waiting for this all night" lol

@MysticTomatoMusic im voting, i don't know about everyone else
Agree!
If they were filming in an actual store like Walmart or wherever, how did they recieve permission to just totally wreak havoc on shelves and shelves of products and televisions?
Brennan Rasmusson they pay the owners money to rent the store for the night and wreck shit, pretty simple
pretty sure that they also bring their own TVs and shit, and the rest of it they just have to pick up before they go
The TV's and other products were bought just for this music video.
This video would have been so different if it were made today.
5:50 - 6:18 THAT MUSTVE BEEN FUN!
@milesprower8 this is so ture!
I can't watch it on my Ipad of iPod !!! :o
@reubyjay25 are u kidding me??????? this is his BEST look!!!!!!!
did no body think of doing a domino effect with the shelves for maximum destruction?
@ultimatenick37 the song is probably saying that more things need to be made in America
3:15 where Joe kicks Santas in the back.. EPIC WIN :D!!!
Why do people focus on how Tim looks? The band tries to make a statement and whether you agree with it or not, the only thing you focus on is how Tim looks? Lmao

I kind of want to go destroy a warehouse now.
@Frankenfurtfarter Well, if they get the message from the videos, then we have more people to work towards the cause.
wonder how much the studio pay to get the store book and the cost of damage.
@AlmostaFlipinSkater Haha, agreed, no way RA is 'not punk'. Even though they've gotten less hardcore over the years, they're still punks.

I think Rise Against is more 'hardcore' than punk.
