I had installed new external fuel pumps to use with the original CDK carbs. When I switched to Mikuni I put a fuel pump blockoff plate on the carb and continued to use the external pumps. If I hadn't already bought the external pumps I would have just used the fuel pump built into the Mikuni,

I just installeled my brand new 44 and it only runs when I have it switched on reserve. It’s on ON it picks up no fuel
