I love going back to all these early Dean and Cas scenes, they captivate just as much as they did the first time. The characters just mesh so well and actors just have a great chemistry. I love it. And yeah Sam had to do what he did but Dean never seen him do it before not really and his nose is bleeding and it takes things out of Sam. Dean is worried more than scared I think. Uriel is a Dick.
I love the last scene between Dean and Castiel. Despite not having known each other long, Castiel is surprisingly vulnerable here. Maybe it's because he pulled Dean out of Hell; he has seen Dean at his worst, so maybe he feels he can show his own imperfection? Regardless of why, I enjoyed the trust he showed Dean, and enjoyed getting a better understanding of Castiel. I'm very drawn to how Castiel just can't help but doubt, despite not wanting the responsibility of making decisions. That last scene, and Castiel's comparison to Dean obeying his father, makes Castiel quite an interesting character to compare to the brothers, I think.
Jenny was played by the same girl who played Emori in The 100. And the other girl, the blond, is Ashley Benson. She’s been in a bunch of stuff, but Pretty Little Liars is what she’s most known for.
This last year it was 'they're making fentanyl to look like candy! they're going to hand it out at Halloween!" My S/O was freaking out. I told him there was no way drug dealers were going to hand out free drugs to random children that they will probably never see again. It just doesn't make money sense. He was all like 'oh they're trying to get them hooked". For what, their milk money? What kid is gonna have drug money, if they don't die from an overdose.
A looong time ago, it was in the news about how kids Halloween candy had actually been weed hidden in legit wrappers. I don’t know if the people who packaged them were trying to be clever or just silly, but they would not have been happy about losing out on all that.
So the whole Samhain nonsense - yes, the religion is pronounced “sow-win” but apparently this was based on a decently obscure horror show where in the episode. the bad guy the ghost of Halloween “Sam Hain”. Pretty much all the fun facts were from that show “the real ghostbusters”. Also, the photos/info that showed “Sam hain” are indeed from Dante’s inferno and not related to real lore
This episode was good, it reminded me all of the old SPN episodes, Loved seeing Ashley Benson on here too. Sam using his powers scares me but I don't think he really had another choice. :/ Interesting that Castiel is supposed to follow Dean's orders...
Very familiar with old Pokémon cards and really big into Magic the Gathering … why are you describing my second kid? His ideal job would be to work at a card shop, though he’d love to own one too.
Halloween is the best.. it always was and will always be my favorite holiday and yes.. I make a season out of it. Sure the candy's great but dress-up.. best game ever. Uriel.. douchebag supreme
The enemy being called Samhain has no ties to Sam. Everyone in this episode was pronouncing that word wrong. The word's etymology is ancient Irish (Gaelic) and is pronounced "SOW-en" like ow or "SEW-en" like a sewing needle. I will never stop being annoyed that they absolutely butchered the pronunciation. Especially Sam, who is supposed to be "smart" or whatever.
Love Sam fangirling over Castiel when they first meet...😂
Yeah it's hilarious!
Though personally I think their relationship thought the series is pretty weak
Agreed, but I think its meant to be like that though - based off their history

The first episode where Dean & Castiel have a heart to heart
I love it 🥰
It’s kinda painful to see Sam be slapped with the reality of angels after how hopeful he was back in Season 2 with the Father Gregory case.
Me every time Jer looks up characters online at the end of the episode- 😨

Samhain is the Irish word for Halloween, its pronounced (sow-in)

20:32 You take that back Jeremy! Betty White was born in 1922 and was older than sliced bread. Poor woman didn’t even make it to her 100th birthday 😞
Yass reaction time 🤘I love this episode. I always watch the holiday episodes on Holidays as a tradition 😅
Nobody who wrote or worked on this episode bothered to look up how to pronounce Samhain. They were very very wrong 😂. It's Saa-win
Yeah it's very irritating.

He failed the test. A seal was broken, that's the priority, not the people of this town.
The highlight of my day has arrived! ☺️❤️🙌🏼
Same! I’m addicted to these reactions

the razor blade scene was so gross!
It's not Sam-hane. It's sow-en.
