Jesus... I started running two years ago to lose weight and couldn't manage 500m without needing to slow down and walk a bit. I'm running my first half marathon on Saturday, and in training I'm doing 8k at 46 minutes, which is bad by everyone here's standards though I'm crazy proud of it and excited to keep going. Stuff like this is super inspiring, makes my challenges feel so much more possible!

I was there too! I ran the 25k with 1800 vert in 5:58 hours. It was my second trail race ever and it was BRUTAL. Congrats on finishing the 100k!! I will be there next year for sure.

This is incredibly inspirational. I love the emotional honesty in which this this run (climb more like it) has been recorded. The mind is an amazing thing, both a tool for conquest and self destruction. I'm really glad that you pulled through Göran. I like to think that when you pointed out a mountain top and said 'that is what we have to climb' (or something like that), you were referring to us, your viewers, and not just the other runners, as I think you know by now, you are never running alone, we are all with you, even if it is after the fact (cheesy, I know, but true nonetheless).

Incredible achievement, Göran, congratulations! I can relate to your emotions about your lovely wife. My wife also helps me in my long runs, and I'm also motivated by seeing her at the next rendezvous point, so it was a familiar seeing your emotions. :) I could feel it, too. I guess we're lucky to have someone by our side on such crazy events!
To be honest, looking at you around 40km, I thought the end would be different, but you kept on going until you passed your own limits to the finish line. I often wonder about entering a ~100km trail race, but I think I'll need some more time to be strong enough in my mind to achieve it.
BTW: How long was your run in the end?

I'm slowly getting back to running now and are dreaming about running sites that you showcased. Loved the emotions. The moment you met the sheep let me feel like I was there by myself and I had tears in my eyes instantly! Even meeting your girlfriend and your supporters was so emotional to watch and made me remembering again, how important the closest people are around you! I was interested in entering this race but it looks like the 100k option no longer exists? Do you know if that's true? Thanks for this video, I always come back to it, it is really beautiful. Edit: I contacted the race organisers, and they said it might come back for 2026! If it does, I will be there.

What is Europes Easiest 100 K UltraMarathon....?
You nearly climbed Everest in a day! What?!!?
I feel it man, was going to go on my first ultra last year and got started training. I thought things were going well until one day I was out on a run and suddenly, with 2 miles left to go, I had horrible pain in my right ankle. Couldn't stand on it and wound up limping back home. I was dumb, don't be me kids, and decided that it must have been tendonitis or something like that so it didn't get checked out for two and a half months. I broke my ankle, the bottom of the fibula. I broke it and then walked on it for that whole time. I was gentle and stayed off of it most of the time but it needed to be immobilized. Got stuck in a boot for two months and then a brace for another month. It was September before i was able to start running again and training for a one-hundred mile race. I still took it easy and did a very slow and progressive training plan, and didn't do PT. I got up to two miles per run, impressed? By the time of the race I felt okay but very unprepared. I was able to complete eleven miles I was in too much pain to finish. I kept falling down and had trouble standing back up. Once I had healed I got back to training, for the next one, and started having regular pain in my right ankle so I decided that I'd do it right. Went back to the doctor and got some x-rays done. They told me that the ankle tendons were damaged and would need to be repaired. I chose to have surgery done. I'm nearly done healing from the surgery, five weeks to go. I start PT today and am super excited to get back to it. I wish you the best in your adventures and can't wait to see the next one.

100k? That's insane run. In my 22 I've walked 40k in 8 hours. Now I'm 50 and limited to run 2k in 14 minutes
