You are a beast Goran and not only are you an amazing runner, you're also filming as you go and for that, I give you serious applause! Running is hard enough but filming as you go is another level. Hit me up, let's go on a run together somewhere beautiful.
Jesus... I started running two years ago to lose weight and couldn't manage 500m without needing to slow down and walk a bit. I'm running my first half marathon on Saturday, and in training I'm doing 8k at 46 minutes, which is bad by everyone here's standards though I'm crazy proud of it and excited to keep going. Stuff like this is super inspiring, makes my challenges feel so much more possible!
Thanks Jonne!! Ok cool were in Sweden are you moving to? I'm from Sweden but I live in Moss, Norway now. Anyway would be super cool to collab in some way in the future, I love your videos! 😊
Whuat! I am surprised to see you here, Jonne, but also not surprised. x) This is great. We're all community, I guess the silent audience as well. We are watching and cheering for you. Kudos and greetings from Germany.
I was there too! I ran the 25k with 1800 vert in 5:58 hours. It was my second trail race ever and it was BRUTAL. Congrats on finishing the 100k!! I will be there next year for sure.
Even though this was recorded a year ago, I found myself fist pumping when you crossed that finish line. What a truly phenomenal achievement! Well done, Goran. You're an inspiration.
This is incredibly inspirational. I love the emotional honesty in which this this run (climb more like it) has been recorded. The mind is an amazing thing, both a tool for conquest and self destruction. I'm really glad that you pulled through Göran. I like to think that when you pointed out a mountain top and said 'that is what we have to climb' (or something like that), you were referring to us, your viewers, and not just the other runners, as I think you know by now, you are never running alone, we are all with you, even if it is after the fact (cheesy, I know, but true nonetheless).
Thank you for taking us on the run with you, this is such an amazing feat and it's so inspirational! Congratulations on the finish, you deserve it! Hope you'll get well rested to tackle the next challenge :)
First: Göran, congrats for finishing the race, this is just impressive! WOW!! Second: I probably won‘t ever run closely the distances or toughness of your runs since I‘m just not so passionate about running but I have to say thank you for being an inspiring, motivating and positive person who sets himself new challenges. And honestly, this is what me and the world needs…
Wow! What an achievement. And what a video. Your videos are always amazing, but this one is the absolute best. Your honesty, your emotions, your struggle and profound effort to get to the finish, and your heartfelt gratitude all come thru on this video. Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us. And good luck with the recovery!
There is so much I love about the content. The atmosphere you create with your narration, music, cut and.. content itself. The graphics are highly notable and enjoyable. The views, your insane camera shots. Your love for your work. On top of all, your wholesomeness, your family, Elin.
Massive congrats Göran! Just an incredible run and amazing result. 20:49 for 100km and over 7000m vert?! Fantastic, especially with you losing so much training time 👏 👏 very happy for you 🙂
Dude, congratulations man. What an awesome journey. Thank you for taking us with you. Even though I don’t know you personally, I’m really proud of you. 🙌

The moment you met the sheep let me feel like I was there by myself and I had tears in my eyes instantly! Even meeting your girlfriend and your supporters was so emotional to watch and made me remembering again, how important the closest people are around you! I definately will plan and try to achieve some important challenges in my life, to feel what you felt doing this mindblowing experience. Thank you for sharing these great moments
Something told me that you were going to make it until the end, despite the bumps along the road during training. Congrats Goran! have a well deserved recovery
Thanks Göran for having brought us with you along this adventure and having shared your emotional ups and downs with us. Your sincerity in front of the camera is really amazing. Wish you the very best.

I'm slowly getting back to running now and are dreaming about running sites that you showcased. Loved the emotions. Running is as good a place as any to think about what you really appreciate in life :) Continue your great work. Regards Mattias
Congrats to the first 100K. 😉Watching you climb summit after summit made my palms completely sweaty. All your videos are pretty cool and I feel so motivated by your personality, Göran. Greetings from Hungary.

Your video is very inspiring to those who want to go out and run any race from 5k up to 100k+ and think to them self's why they can't do it but wants to. Your video also helps runners to go beyond their limits and run their own race.
Wow! Just wow! Congratulations on a truly epic journey and a extraordinary effort. I was cheering on you here in my comfortable sofa watching you struggle. Very impressive! 😁👍
Absolutely incredible! Doing my first 50k in just over a week. Definitely watching this on the morning to get me motivated. Looking forward to seeing you run more 👏👏

This is a CRAZY race! OMG those mountains! I come from the flatland in my country, so this looks soooooo unbelievable and undoable to me! Amazing that you managed to finish it and finish in 7th place! Congratulations!
Congrats! As a beginning trail runner myself I've been following your journey and been feeling inspired to go out and challenge myself. You move me in both the literal as the figurative way.

Stort grattis Göran. Så härligt att du verkligen lyckades efter alla problem du har gått igenom. Finns inget så underbart som att klara av mål. Så verkligen njut av det du avklarat.
Great achievement Goran - especially given that it was your first Ultra race. The elevation is insane. I started doing Ultras in Hong Kong in the last 2 years. I could relate to how you felt - physically and mentally. Keep it up! The videos are awesome. Makes me want to do this race as well.
There are two thoughts in my head: Admiration and shock. The admiration is obviously about an extreme performance. Your guts, strength, endurance and love for Elin got you through what most people can only dream about. The experience will be with you forever. The feeling of completing that race will last a lifetime. Congratulations is both fitting and not enough. You inspire people, Göran! Your legs are strong, but your heart is stronger. The shock on the other hand is all about the preparation. As a professional coach who knows the ins and out of physical performance, how could you enter that race so unprepared? What stood in the way of your own knowledge? Ego? Wanting to create content for others to enjoy? I'm interested in learning more about your thinking before and after the race. I'm sure people would love to see a video about your key learnings from this experience - as an athlete that competed and performed, and as a coach with tons of knowledge about training, nutrition and preparation.
Thanks Joey for those nice words! As for the shock, in what way do you think that I was "so unprepared", when I talk about "feeling unprepared" in the video it is because I would have wanted to be a lot better prepared, it's not in the meaning I think it will be dangerous or harmful for me to do this. Of course you have doubts and are afraid of different scenarios before entering such a massive challenge and I would have loved to have been better prepared. But that's the way you often feel both as a coach and athlete with high ambitions that you would always have wanted to have done a little bit more. Of course I would have liked to have done more long runs the month leading into the race but my hip problems stopped me from preparing as optimal as I wanted. But my knowledge as a coach and physio told me that I still could try to finish the race without any high risk. And with the result in hand I was right, one week after the race I was running like normal without any pain. I don't understand how you can be so sure that I am unprepared based on your very little knowledge about my training, It's not possible to share every single detail on my TH-cam channel for example I have talked very little about my nutrition strategy in my videos which I of course put a lot of thought into. An example of my training is that I during 2021 I have so far ran 2800km with 62000m of vertical gain which I found out was a lot more than 90% of the people entering this race. But thanks for your concern anyway and have a great day!
@Göran Winblad Thanks for taking the time to answer. You are of course right, I do not know everything. My second part might have been too harsh and even unjust. Forgive me for jumping to conclusions. If I may, the reason why I felt you were unprepared where mainly based on two observations. The first was my "shock" when you said you'd never had done more than 50 kms before, and decided to break the 100 km mark in a mountain ultra with lots of elevation. To me, that sounded like an almost impossible challenge. Your base must be exceptional for enduring that majestic leap. I'm beyond impressed by that! The second part was about nutrition. I remember you mentioned in your last video that you had started testing different types of nutrition (gels and drinks) in the last week leading up to the race. That baffled me, and I remember leaving a comment about it on that video. But as you mention, you'd obviously done more than just that little part in preparation for the race. Thanks for clearing that up, and sorry for thinking you would take lightly on food and drink. May I ask what nutrition strategy and products you chose? From the race video it looks like you are eating solid foods at the aid stations and perhaps gels and sport drinks in between? How did your stomach handle food after such a massive effort?
i know this feeling when the training was not enough. I had also problems wirh injury before my first 108km race. But this kind of race is finishing with the mind. I was knowing from the beginning that you'll make it! 💪💪💪 Congrats for this massive finish! 👏👏👏
What a great achievement! Loved everything about the video and the nature is absolutely stunning! I also love to see Elin and you supporting each other! All the best for you two (and soon to be four)!
wow, what an adventure... congrats for finishing. i have never done anything like that, i can only imagine how it could feel. and i guess it's also a mental game.
The word epic is often overused, but it truly describes what you went through. Absolutely breathtaking scenery, challenging technical route, and all the emotions. Your gratitude to your wife was wonderful too. Congratulations Goran!!
Wowsers! Amazing run Goran. I remember that fear before 600km bike rides, sometimes like you here, being under prepared. That's an amazing achievement right there 🙂

Stort grattis Göran. Så härligt att du verkligen lyckades efter alla problem du har gått igenom. Finns inget så underbart som att klara av mål. Så verkligen njut av det du avklarat.
Tack för dom fina orden 😊
Wow, such a great performance!
Thanks Rasmus 😊
i know this feeling when the training was not enough. I had also problems wirh injury before my first 108km race. But this kind of race is finishing with the mind.
I was knowing from the beginning that you'll make it! 💪💪💪
Congrats for this massive finish! 👏👏👏
