Interesting history, Alex. I got my Russian LC-A in 1999. It is 100% responsible for what I do today as it really sparked my interest in film photography. It was my main shooter for a decade - great little camera.

Interesting choice to go with 1812 Overture as background music, as it tends to swell and fall a lot and it can be distracting.

Russian camera, Russian music made sense in my head at the time.

Very interesting! I am interested in fsu cameras and I didn't know some of the information. I just want to note that the music is too loud and distracts me from listening :)

You're welcome! Also thank for the comments on the music volume, I'll make sure to keep a closer eye on things in editing and turn it down when it gets too loud!

Can this be mounted to a tripod?

Yup, there is a standard tripod socket on the bottom.

Infinity focus is useful if I want to focus on objects near and far.

Hi, just happened across this video, I had the Cosina CX2, that you mentioned early in the video, in the early 80’s, when I was a student, and my former sister-law-had the original LC-A, I guess around the early 90s

    Very interesting.
Mine is the original japanese Cosina CX-1, I can feel why these small nice cameras are so much appreciated!

@@AlexLuyckxPhoto I know I'm not the first to make this sort of observation. My sense is that some opinions are split on Lomography. But I definitely think they deserve some credit for doing all they've done to keep momentum going in the film community. Certainly with emulsions, but cameras are an important part of the equation and it's great that they were able to keep it going.

Just ordered one. Can wait to run some Ektachrome through it, and cross process.
