These lists are both the best and worst thing to me. Always introduces me to a cool watch or two that I hadn't considered, but also adds another watch or two to my wallet destroying bucket list. Thanks Teddy!
Hot take: 200m dive chronos with screw down pushers - are so frustrating. You won’t be timing fish races, can’t unscrew or use underwater. but above water timing you’ll constantly never be ready to time, needing to unscrew and missing the start!
Thanks for the video, and also for promoting Longines as a sleeper in the luxury Swiss watch market. I paid little attention to the brand until recently after watching your videos. I am really appreciating them as a heritage watchmaker that produces some unbelievably well made watches at extraordinary prices.
I really appreciate you including a wide variety of watches, and not just the usual suspects!
For me this evening the perfect collection is a two one for less than 11 000 $ . No surprise : it will be the LONGINES Zulu Time and the CARTIER Santos . Thank ou TEDDY . I wish you a great week-end .
Great call. That is some duo.👋
With the exception of the Tudor Royale, which is fugly, these are just gorgeous. It is extremely difficult to keep money in the bank account with Teddy making videos like this.
Longines Conquest about to be an enthusiast favorite
Next teach us how to have 12k lying around to spend on watches, really need that.
I'll give you a tip, instead of buying a new shampoo just refill it with water so you save a few bucks😅😂
Gambling my friend
It’s all about what you’re willing to spend there are collections for almost all price points
@@positivetradingofficial500Or.. Shave your head
Sell your kidney and you’re good, don’t think about the problem, think about the solution.
Pelagos 39 and GS SBGA413 Cherry Blossom. My favorite pair.
The spring drive and the dial on the Cherry Blossom are awesome. The light blue GS snowflake is also stunning.
Im so stuck between which Tudor chrono I like most. Every time I think the white dial, i see the black dial and it just pops. I think the white hands on white dial would be too tough to read. It stands out against the black tho.
My current 5 watch collection:
1. Sinn 6096
2. Tudor Pelagos LHD
3. Omega Speedy Haselite w/CB
4. Seiko Tuna Quartz
5. Casio MT-G B3000
Thoughts regarding my collection and what I'm missing?
The only kind of binge-watching I enjoy 😉 Thanks Teddy !
Bought the MIDO Multiford TV 3 weeks ago. Fantastic watch, wears great on the steel bracelet even on smaller wrists. The Powermatic 80 is a great movement, my watch loses about 5 second a week (wearing it all day), i.e. less than 1 second a day. I was first inclined to the dark dial with the orange rubber bracelet. However, when trying it on the steel bracelet was much more convicting regarding look and also wearing comfort. So I went for the blue dial in steel. I would highly recommend to try the watch on before you buy.
Where do you get a big date complication, 100 m water resistance with screw down crown, 80 hours power reserve and a precision of less than 1 second a day at 1100$?
Number 5 for sure. The GO and the Tudor chrono are both on my short list.
A few comments on the Grand Seiko SLGA023. It is beautiful but is is big. The dial, the smooth sweep of the spring drive second hand, the weight, the bezel and finishing are amazing. That said, I have an 8"/20cm wrist and it looks big when I have it on. It is thick. Not sure it is a one watch collection. If you are wearing button down shirts or suits,...this is too big. Combine it with a Cartier Tank Must XL on a leather strap and you've got yourself one hell of a collection!
Amazing video teddy but also cannot miss the Tissot sideral on your wrist
Doing a collection video about filling a 10-12 spot watch box collection at different price points would be cool!

Hallo Teddy, in this video I absolutely liked the lundis bleus the most. Second the last watch in the video the longines conquest. With some of the watches not so expensive one could buy quite a few for 12.000. and have a nice little watch collection. So as always love from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Sorry, Teddy, it sounds like you’ve been receiving too many unreasonable critical comments. You are the best “voice” and authority for the watch lover. I really enjoy and am very impressed by your knowledge and enthusiasm. Please don’t get too discouraged…. Thank you
+1… spot on
Omega Seamaster 300m 2 tone gold on metal bracelet $12,300. One watch and DONE!!!
The Lundis Bleus unique dial is a true cloisonné piece, something that I've thought Grand Seiko should jump on. There's a great tradition of Japanese cloisonné (called "shippo yaki") that would be an incredible addition to Grand Seiko's range of distinctive dials. The greatest Japanese cloisonné house is Ando Shippo, whose Tokyo shop is no more than 250 meters from the Grand Seiko boutique in Ginza. Teddy, you need to get over there and make some introductions!
Love the amazing content Teddy! You were my introduction to the world of horology and I'm grateful!
A 12K budget makes for a great 3 to 5 piece luxury collection. Alot of value can be hand on the pre owned market
When you started talking about the duo category dress watch, I was hoping you were going to say the Senator Sixties. Awesome choice, I recently tried one on and it is definitely on my buy list now.
Hey teddy, long time subscriber and everyday watcher. I just want to bring this to the attention of your videographers, watching this video of you sitting behind the brick wall is such a relaxing experience for my eyes; in comparison of you sitting in front of the huge window in other videos. On an OLED TV, that window basically burns my corneas 😂
I watch either way though. Great content as always. Best of luck.
I never saw that Ball watch before. That is a handsome watch. Like it a lot
The lack of timeline breaks and summaries here makes this harder for me to follow as a concept. I didn't get a clear sense of, "here's the persona again, here's what we've selected so far again, here's our budget burndown again." Still enjoyed the vid!
IWC Ingenieur aqua in this video costs twice as much as IWC Mark XX, a yet, they both share the same calibre 32111 inside. What gives? I understand that Ingenieur is a bit more anti-magnetic but that doesn't approve the price bump so high. Don't you think?
I collect watches because of you, sir. Would love to chat at some point and show you what I've built up over covid. You can see your influence all over it!
Lundi Bleu Spectrum Orange looks so impressive. Nice to know about a new brand for me.
What about the Chopard Alpine Eagle? I think they can be had for around $12,000. A perfect all rounder in my books.😮
My 12k 3 watch collection:
1.) Rolex OP: $7k
2.) Grand Seiko quartz: $2-3k
3.) Longines Hydroconquest GMT: $2k.
Man. 41 and 34 on that conquest. 36-39 is the sweet spot for that style.
Teddy is very accurate about perception of Rado in Indian community. That involves all south Asians including Nepalese like me. Love your work and presentation teddy.😊
I live in the Cleveland area too. You should do a meet and greet or something.
Teddy, I am 22 and I want to get into a watch collection. How do I start?
As always I always leave more informed After watching your videos.. Thank you teddy. Let's go.
Really hope they come out with a 38 or 39mm version of that new Conquest. I tried the 41mm on and it was a little too big for me.
Great video Teddy. Youll be happy to hear that Rado is also a big deal in Puerto Rico. Almost everyone I know has a variation of it. I have an uncle who hasnt taken off his rado in 30 years.
Right on the money for the RADO DIASTAR’s popularity and status symbol in india 🇮🇳…
Proud owner of the reissue in green dial and also a Ball Marvelight Engineer III in enamel turquoise limited 100 piece edition… as well as a beloved Grand Seiko sea of clouds …
Hey Teddy, i got the tudor royal diamond/gold she's stunning and so underrated
I would find a used/ mint Credor
This video was like a journey. Such amazing content. Keep it up man.
Love the look of that 2023 Longines Conquest though...
The Marvelight is just one of my 7 Ball watches, yes, one for each day of the week. Get this watch, it's great.
Good taste. I own an Engineer III Pioneer. Absolutely love it. Such a great watch
Agreed. Ball is totally underrated. Everyone should have one in their collection.
The Lundis Bleu also gently reminds you to check your email every half hour and at 6 o’clock. I believe that’s considered an additional complication. 🤣
The Mido looks really nice.
Great list, looking forward to trying on a Zulu time in 39mm. Also, whats going on with the fragrance channel? Looking forward to the new content.
What is your thought on Steinhart Watches. More of a watch for the working class. Homage at its best my thought.I love alot of watches you review out of my Price range.
WOW TEDDY!!! I have a one watch collection and it’s a Rolex explorer two tone and I’m wearing it on my wrist right now!! It means a lot to me and it’s perfect for every setting and every outfit. So happy to see this watch getting the credit it deserves.
Super tasty watches right there. Nice job.
I'm surprised at the choice of dark side of the moon for single watch, when the moonphase 44.25mm speedmaster is right there in price and has all the same movement features plus the moonphase complication and is a METAS certified master chronomter (which dark side is not)
A few things to say. This series fantastic idea and among my favorites. I've worked closely with Ariat. Pronounce it like the last syllables of the famous race horse Secretariat, that's what the company was named after. The are striving for and have seemed to achieve the level of quality of lower end Carharrt.
That was an amazing video!!!!! congrats!!!!!
always great videos and topics Teddy. It would be interesting to have your opinion on the ploprof. Thanks
With inflation these days, I can't help but wonder if these watches would've been on a $10k episode last year...
Teddy's right about using the retail price as reference, the stinking ADs are barely giving any discounts nowadays even on the likes of Longines, JLC and IWC.
Barely 2 years ago you'd have gotten 25-35% off easily. Yikes.
Longines deserve your love
GO deserve your respect
You deserve our subscription
Thank you as always
My $12k collection from my personal collection. Going to use pre-owned prices.
1. Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph GMT Skeleton
$4200
2. Omega Seamaster Diver 300
$4500
3. Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph Calibre Heuer 02
$3500
Boldr Venture Carbon - carbon watch under the Tissot price and well under $1k.
Pilot watches can be older than airplanes, because the word has an older, maritime meaning. A pilot is someone who guides ships through dangerous waters, and a good watch would help to keep track of tides etc.
Refined yet capable. You finally address my category 🙂
Forget watches, i want that shirt that Teddy is wearing! What brand is it?
I am really enjoying this series.
That Mido looks great
Appreciate the love you show the zulu time; has grown on me tremendously
Loving the dress collection, that longines is a stunner!!!!
very informative video 👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤
Please do a list of affordable Oyster Perpetual alternatives. If you can include colorful dials even better.
I think he did do one a while back
What about Swiss Military Hanova?
Woah different background teddy. Miss the big ass window behind you.
Big date, if only every manufacturer would make at least one in their range (or a Cyclops) for us older people with not 20/20 vision 😁 aside from that, the Longines grabbed my attention most.
Love the new background
Sorry, but the Zenith dial looks like a George Foreman Grill...
Tudor royal all the Longines and the cartier Santos for me
A very good composition. By the way: You pronounce the Nomos Ludwig like Loodwig. It's a German first name.
The check the box collection is my favorite
Love this series teddy!
I saw someone wearing the Rado Diastar last week and I really wanted to ask him what it was 😂
12k budget... Rolex Pepsi GMT and the rest on GShocks.
Anyone else notice that NOMOS doesn’t use Roman Numerals for 4 (it should read IV not IIII)?
It's called a clockmaker's 4. Standard across the industry, not just Nomos. More symmetrical look, and harkens back to the way Romans did it on sundials.
Great video, lots of unexpected options less the Longines!
There is no Sidreal in Sideral.
love the fact that he talked about Rado's hype in India. My grand father has owned one since the 1980s.
you can get the sg explorer for less than retail, nobody wants it, it’s a bucket 🙈
in the other side, no way to get the bubbles OP from an AD unless you’re a very good client (daytona good client i mean)
ball is balllinn, nice
Teddy really loves his upcycle watch
Ayy I have a Lundi Bleu. Absolutely incredible piece
Love this series!
Tudor Royal is underrated. Beautiful watch!
Me watching this with a whole $50:
Ehhh idk if its really worth it, ooh i want it.
Are you a east or west sider?
If I had $12k to blow on watches, I’d by 2 Omegas. The Seamaster 300 Commander 007 SE and a Speedmaster Schumacher Edition.
the conquest looks like an oyster case
Teddy, what is on your wrist today in the video?????
Looks like the Tissot Sideral
@@Greysprunkiyay Yep. Thanks. I am liking the yellow one, and giving it serious consideration! That or a Doxa sub-200.
I would have switched out the Oris for a Tudor dive watch
Showing that Rolex ruined the entire video
Who’d knew, a Moonswatch!
Thanks Teddy! One small comment at 7:25 blEu and not bloo
This was a fun but weird set of choices. I liked the idea of a duo collection, but I can’t believe you went for a chrono for the every day collection over a GMT dive like the BB Pro or put the Zulu or Omega there.
And I can’t believe you didn’t mention an Aqua Terra for the 1 watch.
But it’s for 12k. AT is half that.
The Bel Canto should be getting a mention
