Thank you so much. I have the same or similar airflow meter on my VW microbus. I just believed people that said there wasn't any adjustment on these meters. I increased the tension on the spring by 2 notches and took it for a 10km test drive to Muizenberg close to Cape Town South. Africa. It was running rich so I turned the geared wheel anti clock wise by 2 notches.
Great video of a lovely car that they will never ever make again. Ive got my 88 Opel Manta GSi running with new injectors genuine Bosch not Chinese but will only start and run if i have the 5th injector powered up from the battery which is baffling me. Any pointers please ?
@allmech_BMW_fault_finding An update on my Manta GSi. Thanks to your knowledge working on the 635 I've got my Manta running very nicely she was very lean indeed.
Really interesting post. I have the same unit in a Peugeot 505 Gti that I am restoring, When it is running and idling the wiper is about a third of the way through the sweep, would this be right or do you think it should be nearer the starting point.

@woodrimcars2324 Thats awesome. Many of these old air flow meters are tricky to adjust 🙂
