SO PRETTY! My first thought for Celestia was a Claude Monet painting, specially Impression, Sunrise? Colors in that one don't really lean into her though, so idk. Good luck - whatever you do it will be amazing!
WHEN YOU SAID WHAT PAINTING YOU SHOULD DO FOR CELESTIA I IMMEDIATELY AUDIBLY SHOUTED "THE SUNFLOWERS, THE SUNFLOWERS!" AND TOU SAID YOU WANTEDD TO DO THEN SUNFLOWERS I SAID YEAHHHHH but then you said tou might not BUT I THINK YOU SHOULD!!!! THIS PEICE IS GORGEOUS AND ITD BE A XRIME OF TOU DIDNT DO ANOTHER VAN GOGH PEICE WITH CELESTIA!!!1!1!!1!!!1!!1!!!
I really liked her wide eyes the way that you did them, they helped convey her longing and sadness by being so far away from her family and home... I felt really moved by this piece, you did an stupendous job
Gorgeus art piece and good advices for art block! I think Celestia can maybe go with Claude Monet's Woman with a Parasol painting for the colors, for its meaning maybe no.
The woman with a parasol remember me of the film the wind rises, and makes me wanna cry lol For me, has some meaning about being grateful of the life that you have, and enjoy everything (In the painting, it would be the nature)
Ah The one for celestial could be the pond one.... Had to look it up and it's not Van Gogh but Monet's water lilies? That was the first thing that came to my mind.
I don’t know why but my first thought for a painting of Celestia were the symbolism pieces of Gustave Klimt. (Sorry for my English, it’s not my first language). I really love your interpretation of the Starry Night, it is simply stunning. I can’t wait to see it in your store.
I LOVE how you mentioned Don McLean's Vincent!! Such a beautiful song and it brings me to tears every time. This piece is so gorgeous- I am just speechless. Such a stunning display of art techniques honoring Starry Night featuring the best princess!!
If you want to make a Celestia one not using a van gogh piece, i would suggest one from monet, some of his pieces have a lot of colors that i think it could fit celestias mane colors! (Like his water lillies pieces has so many colors its like super pretty!) He has a series of paintings called "Houses of Parliament" and some of them were painted at sunrise, so one more motive!
This was AMAZING to see Jane, the way you made Luna's hair was justgorgeous and it really gave me a very warm and soft feeling. Also possibly a thing you could do for Celestia is just search any Van Gogh styled, or Van Gogh pieces that remind you OF Celestia. Usually if I want to make a drawing based on something or some one, I tend to look at images that make me think of said drawing
Seeing the pins on the website, they're incredible, I'm obsessed!! I'm very sad, that there is no shipping outside of the US (I understand that it's not easy of course) but I really wanted to get one of the special pins!! Still love it. I loved this video, the "paint like style" is different than usual, but the result is absolutly gorgeous! As for a celestia painting, how about the sun painting by edvard munch? I think the style could be similar to the luna one while still fitting Celestia, especially with all the colors!
If You See This MASTERPIECE In A Museum, You Would Say..........."WOW!!!! It's BEAUTIFUL......... It's So Lifelike, You'd Think She Would DEFINITELY Jump Right Out Of The Painting ITSELF!!! ( Princess Luna Smilied And Winked At You ) Wait A Minute..........She Did Just Wink At ME?" Suddenly.............She Jumps OUT Of The Painting And Lands On Her Feet, And NOW She's Staring At You, " HOLY SMOKES!............ SHE'S REAL!!!" You Said. I Think Sunflowers Would Be PERFECT For Princess Celestia. 7:59
Ooh the idea of Luna being banished and after coming back her main changes from the glittery princess fog to a starry night esque mane would be so cool and it's kinda like a physical representation of her time at the moon that she carries with her
I think a celestia piece would go amazingly with this and just thinking of their manes flowing in together makes me feel so happy and whole. Also this is gorgeous, i would hang this on my wall if i wasn't self-conscious.
I absolutely love Van Gogh and Starry Night. Van Gogh's life can be really sad, but then there is so much love in it too from his brother and the feelings he tries to convey in his paintings. The appreciation for the views he does see from his window, the people and the buildings. For Celestia, her mane reminds me of northern lights or aurora borealis cause of how flowy it is, never resting like a normal mane and the colors are pretty similar. I like impressionism, so maybe a similar style for an aurora painting? Idk any famous artists that did auroras however
OMG, shes gorgeous! i do agree that she is quite wee bit bug eyed but all mlp characters have the problem, if you wanna fix that why can try putting her head at a different angle or having her eyes closed
This is easily my favorite Luna piece ever. Every detail and the work you put into this makes this such a stunning piece, and I'm so excited its going to be a print!
This is a great idea and the execution is gorgeous! If u do a Celestia version maybe it can be based on something by Gustav Klimt or a art nouveau painting
this is absolutely stunning!! i hope it ends up as a print, i would love to hang it up on my wall over my drawing area on my desk alongside the rainbow slasher and pinkiacci ones!
I wonder if Celestia would look good with some type of inspiration from religious imagery, not necessarily as her being religious, but some of the renaissance paintings and using that as a complementary more structured side to the painterly side for Luna’s. You could even go Byzantine Mosaic with it, those have flat gold backgrounds with blues and purples, or possibly Illuminated Manuscripts, those lean gold and colorful as well.
Some other intriguing parallels: Vinny was and is a very misunderstood individual, one thing people don't realize even and especially now, is that, in spite of his own constant internal struggles, he had many friends. He could often be found in the company of several of his contemporaries of the time and kept in constant correspondence with his brother along with several other acquaintances. On that same line, he was Very close to his brother, to whom he wrote many of his thoughts on his own works and with whom he painted himself walking in one of his last finished pieces. And speaking of his thoughts on his own works, he wrote to his brother about starry night that he was greatly dissatisfied with the finished product. (also that the cypress (the big dark central structure of the painting) was meant to represent a sort of connection between earth and heaven (imo probably just because he liked them so much)) Last thing I'll say is; there is also some debate around the circumstances of his demise- one likely theory being that some gaggle of kids who would occasionally hang around him went d*cking around with a gun and, when it went off, rather than get the kids in trouble by going to get the wound looked at, he chose to simply go home and lie down, instead. Also, not to be a nag, but, iirc Vincent admitted himself into the asylum, I believe following a failed s*icide attempt. The painting of the starry night was very much a representation of a beauty and even a peacefulness Vincent felt existed between heaven and earth and within the connection between them, as well as, possibly his own sense of being between the two either because of his recent near-death experience, or perhaps thanks to whatever pain-relieving drugs he was on afterward. He was an interesting person, and was probably pretty ornery in his day to day life. He felt the highest highs and the lowest lows (going to the extremes of every emotion?? Sounds like a certain allicorn I know...) he struggled with feelings of inferiority in spite of his own certainties in his skill and abilities. His brother often supported him financially as well as emotionally. One of his last paintings depicts himself walking along one of two paths, with his brother beside him, a cypress tree standing behind them, at the fork between the two roads, stretching up toward a bright sun in the sky...
for Celestia, you could do three flower fields (lavender, astilbe, hydrangea, for example) to represent her mane. to represent a sun, you could do a big sunflower bouquet with red berries of some kind. You could use artist Claude Monet as an inspiration (his painting of sunflower garden). I love your drawing! :)
the k in cymk is for key, aka black. this illustration is gorgeous! the parallels between a night-themed melancholic character like luna and a painting like Starry Night is so obvious, im shocked no one has done it before. as much as van Goghs sunflower piece perfectly mirrors his Starry Night, i feel like it doesnt fit celestia as much as Starry Night does luna. maybe something like The Impression, Sunrise by Claude Monet? if you wanna get saucy i can see celestia posing something like The Grand Odalisque by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, though i dont know how safe for youtube it would be XD the Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli is another good choice i think! just as iconic as starry night too.
First paiting that i thought about when I see Celestia is Portrait of Adele by Gustav Klimt. Just shiny, yellow, and kind of weird just like the colorful horse controlling the sun ☀️
Honestly, I was wondering when someone would make this concept a reality, I get scared of mimicking an artist's technique especially when they are so famous.
I fing love vangoh start night so much I cheated when I saw the comunity post. My mom made a cupcake cake and painted Van Gogh stary night out of frosting. It’s my favorite thing ever and I see her every time I see any Van Gogh painting.
This is gorgeous!!! And imo Honest to god Van Goh probably would love this a gajillion more than all the mugs and reprints of his original piece. You are actually thinking about the themes and ideas you are communicating based on both of the mane elements of this art piece and how they work together. Not just mindlessly replicating work for money.
I LOVE THIS YES YES YES I wonder if the sunflowers would work better for applejack thematically and colour wise (in a field, working ... so not like van gogh's sunflowesr exactly but y'know) if you wanted to try to expand it to everyone but I'm sure that'd be a ton of work .... I'd watch the heck out of it though, different art styles and movements for each pony?? rainbow dash could have a pollocks-y type thing going ... surrealism for pinkie ... hmmMMmmm anyway it's probably too washed out to work with celestia but I think it's really nice even if it's not well known - a swedish piece known as Vädersolstavlan or in english the Parhelion painting. mostly I just think parhelions would be a beautiful framing device. otherwise albert bierstadt painted a lot of suns! thomas moran's sunset in venice has a lot of beautiful colours too. but honestly I think you could absolutely stick with van gogh. he painted lots of nature with pretty suns or light in them. coal barges , willows at sunset, wheat field with cypresses? aha I'm looking at wikipedia I'm no van gogh expert but!!! yes I would love to see you do a celestia and perhaps even more, nightmare moon and daybreaker could be interesting painted counterparts or even twilight and cadence just for the alicorns ... it looks amazing I'll definitely keep an eye out for the print!
I love the idea of using Van gogh's sunflowers for inspiration in Celestia's! Though if you are wanting to look more into another artist Paul Gauguin. He was also an impressionist artist that was known to have been Van Gogh's closest friend before they had a falling out due to the ideals of impressionism. Gauguin thought art must draw from idea while Van Gogh thought art draws from nature. (If you wanted to do like a parallels thing with celestia and luna) His style is striking but I can see not going with him due to his choice of subject matter. Great video!!
Idk if this will help but you can do starry night but instead do it as a sunny day, incorparating the tones from sunsets or dawn like a transition from night to day. Idk if this was really helpful, but i'm sure you'll find something eles anyways good luck and stay safe and healthy.
I have a couple ideas for Celestia that you can do. The Sun by Edvard Munch, Sunrise on the Artists Paradise by Stefan Mierz, and Painter of the Sun by Van Gogh. Of course these are just suggestions.
Do you talk in-depth about how you're developing your bag? I would like to learn more about what goes into making things like that - could I ask questions about it if I joined the milkshake crew?
This is amazing ❤ I don’t know about Clelestia but if you ever happen to decide to do something with Discord ,isn’t I recommend ‘The Persistence Of Memory’ by Salvador Dali?
I don’t think I’ve seen pony artwork that’s based on famous pieces like Van Gogh. This is really interesting and wonderfully done!
Fantastic idea to make Luna's hair into the Starry Night!
THIS PEICE IS GORGEOUS AND ITD BE A XRIME OF TOU DIDNT DO ANOTHER VAN GOGH PEICE WITH CELESTIA!!!1!1!!1!!!1!!1!!!
there are plenty of Monet paintings that i think would suit celestia well! ‘Water Lilies’ is the one that first springs to mind
STARRY NIGHT LUNA BELOVEDDDD
I really liked her wide eyes the way that you did them, they helped convey her longing and sadness by being so far away from her family and home... I felt really moved by this piece, you did an stupendous job
This is absolutely STUNNING!! I surprisingly have never seen a Starry Night + Luna concept till now 😮 art Eaten.
i love the doom and gloom pins so much i have to get them oneday
Wow, you are amazing. Van Gogh has been one of my most favourite artists and you mixing it with MLP is amazing. Luna looks so majestic and elegant.
absolutely love this video, your voice and the music and aaaaa it was a lovely relaxing experience
Gorgeus art piece and good advices for art block!
I think Celestia can maybe go with Claude Monet's Woman with a Parasol painting for the colors, for its meaning maybe no.
The woman with a parasol remember me of the film the wind rises, and makes me wanna cry lol
For me, has some meaning about being grateful of the life that you have, and enjoy everything (In the painting, it would be the nature)
Beautiful canvas, will Celestia have a Sunny Day art?
Ah The one for celestial could be the pond one.... Had to look it up and it's not Van Gogh but Monet's water lilies? That was the first thing that came to my mind.
This Art is very Beautiful ❤

This is easily my favorite Luna piece ever. Every detail and the work you put into this makes this such a stunning piece, and I'm so excited its going to be a print!
This is a great idea and the execution is gorgeous!
If u do a Celestia version maybe it can be based on something by Gustav Klimt or a art nouveau painting
It would be so beautiful Celestia with the style of "the kiss"!!
@@Loloany Yeah! That could look lovely
Celestia's color theme is sunrise like but also aurora borialis like, maybe a painting based off one of those themes would work?
Why hasn't this been thought of before? It's gorgeous!!
this is absolutely stunning!! i hope it ends up as a print, i would love to hang it up on my wall over my drawing area on my desk alongside the rainbow slasher and pinkiacci ones!
No joke if you made this a print I would 100% buy it. I would hang this on my wall.
She looks so eleganttttt ♡
This was very cool and relaxing to watch. It would be awesome if you did more videos like this.
More to come!
“Vincent” by Don Mclean is such a beautiful and emotional song, and you really brought all that emotion into your drawing it’s SO good.
Wonderful idea, even better execution!
It looks so pretty i love the art style the art piece is very shooting
I wonder if Celestia would look good with some type of inspiration from religious imagery, not necessarily as her being religious, but some of the renaissance paintings and using that as a complementary more structured side to the painterly side for Luna’s. I feel like "Olive Trees with Yellow Sky and Sun" from 1889 would go well with Celestias colours. Plus you could add a phenix in the trees.

Talk about eye candy!
the k in cymk is for key, aka black.

Wow. This is beautiful. And really creative :0
Omg this is beautiful
The way you draw is like so wow bro !
This is just fantastic!
this just looks really fun drawing to do. Yes, haha you caught me I am typing, and yes, go for the Celestia version
First paiting that i thought about when I see Celestia is Portrait of Adele by Gustav Klimt.
Just shiny, yellow, and kind of weird just like the colorful horse controlling the sun ☀️
Damn time to paint this concept irl myself
I think claude monet's water lilies would work color wise and keep the impressionist style going.
I SAW THIS ON SOCIALS OMG IT WAS BEAUTIFUL
Honestly, I was wondering when someone would make this concept a reality, I get scared of mimicking an artist's technique especially when they are so famous.
I fing love vangoh start night so much I cheated when I saw the comunity post.
My mom made a cupcake cake and painted Van Gogh stary night out of frosting. It’s my favorite thing ever and I see her every time I see any Van Gogh painting.
Gorgeous!
Beautiful art!
it would be really cool if u did a celestia version of "the unicorn rests in a garden" but like,, pastel to match celestia!
This is gorgeous!!!
And imo Honest to god Van Goh probably would love this a gajillion more than all the mugs and reprints of his original piece.

This is so clever, also yay more pony videos :)
Also I think Sunflowers would work if you took a bit of creative liberty on the hues of Celestias mane- just a little more orange over them perhaps?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS RAHHH
You should totally do celestial based off of him impressionist sunrise. I believe the pieces called. You can totally fit with the impressionism theme
Pretty!
This is soooo beautiful!!! Maybe for Celestia’s piece, you could take inspiration from Claude Monet?
amazing art! So happy this popped up on my feed
That's really interesting artwork. Mix of mlp and famous picture. What if mix every princess (maybe and mane6 too) with famous picture)
This is sick!! :DD
Maybe you should do day breaker for the sunflower!
This is SO beautiful, I love it. Maybe you could do Gustav Klimt - Portrait of Adele? :3 Similar striking but different. Would probably look goo holo.

maybe use the painting Iris for celesia
You could do Claude Monet’s water Lillie’s for Celestia?
Do the sunflowers

I'm more than a dragon alligator person
Dont look bugeyed to me
