That whole performance was electric, but The Past and Pending was especially affecting. Joseph’s backup vocals elevated it to a level I didn’t know existed.
You know, I saw this show with my friend at Radio City last year, and I had to tell the dummies behind me to shut up during that song. I asked if that was out of order, and she said, “no, it’s a quiet song”. It’s a lovely song.
THANK YOU!!!! incredible! Paramount theatre seems to be a spot where they just kill it. Your Algebra - insane! As well as Weird Divide! Girl on the Wing has been a favorite of mine.::ugh. So good. Wincing the Night Away may be my favorite album- but gotdamn, this is so catchy. Im in love again!
hearing Your Algebra live added something to my life I didnt know was missing lol. Jon Sortland with those drums goddamn 👏 👏 Also does anyone have the full lyrics for this version?
As much as i love this album, and the concept of THIS performance… For me… It is undeniably MISSING a true feeling of joy without Jesse Marty Neil or Dave. THAT is the SHINS… I know “James” IS the shins… writer, cornerstone. But so was Pete Townshend. But to watch him play say the ‘my generation’ LP live with like his brother Simon on LEAD guitar 🙄😑 And Zach Starky drumming and such… It isn’t The Who- with out Daltry Entwistle and mostly MOON! I love James. I’m so thankful he came along in time and created such an amazingly beautiful record as well as the rest of his catalog… Thank you for this ~ 👏🏻 Anyway. Anyhow. Anywhere.
Amazing. I can’t help though, but feel that I preferred the originals line-up(s) better. It feels too polished if that is something I can complain about.
This is a recording instead of a direct download, but after watching the livestream and re-watching this recording multiple times it sounded exactly the same, it seems to be common for live shows to not have as much low end/bass afaik

The Shins write the most beautifully haunting music.
How is this the first time I'm seeing this? I went to the show in Montreal! Best concert ever
So happy I was there for this show 😊
If you were at this show- if you are reading this, listening to this.. consider yourself sooooo lucky. Wow they are so good live😍
Just an amazing album, cover to cover. What a treat to see this.
The way they reinterpreted Your Algebra for the stage brings out a surprising Echo and the Bunnymen vibe
what a bloody good band...
Saw this show in Toronto and it was amazing.
Me too 😭 i was right at the front in the centre, best show ever
@@ThoughtSP95 i was super close to you! pretty cool :3
@@stewardo neat! May you go to some more excellent concerts this summer :)
Saw them at the Ryman Auditorium here in Nashville. Absolutely blown away b how good this show was.
Me too one of the best live shows I have ever seen.
@@danielbuttrey3713 The show we saw at the Ryman is even better than this one! I would love for them have made it a live LP.
That whole performance was electric, but The Past and Pending was especially affecting. Joseph’s backup vocals elevated it to a level I didn’t know existed.
i literally came out in goosebumps hearing that harmony
You know, I saw this show with my friend at Radio City last year, and I had to tell the dummies behind me to shut up during that song. I asked if that was out of order, and she said, “no, it’s a quiet song”. It’s a lovely song.
Asked my friend, they’re not letting edit🙄
Thanks for uploading! I saw them at Radio City last year, and I wish I could see them again sometime soon. Watching this was a great second option :)
Me too!
Amazing upload! Went to the show in my local area, and I’m also glad to experience it again! Thank you for posting!
Saw this tour in LA and wow what an amazing show I need another tour ASAP

Amazing set. Amazing show.
The backup singers were perfect. Holy shit!

Completely agree. I never got to seen them live back then. One of my great regrets.
I AGREE
21 years already 😮
Turn a Square! So good!
I can't believe I'm dead🥲
Amazing. I can’t help though, but feel that I preferred the originals line-up(s) better.
It feels too polished if that is something I can complain about.
He always seems so aloof.
always focused
I disagree. Always seems very self-aware
Come to brazil...
brazuca fã de shins, que coisa linda de se ver
@@Watashi43É uma paixão para toda uma vida
Shane o neill !!! thanks brasil /11
So fucking beautiful why do i live in a house when i could just spend all my money touring after musicians lol
freekin fantastic!...t.y.Shins🩷
Amazing show. Would love to see the original lineup performing with him tho
what happened to the low end of the audio
This is a recording instead of a direct download, but after watching the livestream and re-watching this recording multiple times it sounded exactly the same, it seems to be common for live shows to not have as much low end/bass afaik
Oh, Inverted World had a very modest bass dynamics. This sounds a lot like the actual recording
Without So Says I it doesn"t count
Yuuki Matthews is back. Wish it was possible for Dobson, Plummer, and Swift to return. These guys do sound good though.
I believe Swift passed away
The original band was so much better,
I liked the Shins before the singer fired the entire band. Since then, the new music sucks. What a piece of crap.
