  • A quick chat about prepping, but mainly showing the views of Bridlington Bay.
I am fortunate enough to own a static caravan at the tiny village of Cowden on the East Yorkshire coast. A peaceful retreat.

It is a wonderful spot Nik, the very reason I spend so much time there.

I sleep like a baby with the sound of the sea, so relaxing. I really do hope for a mild winter, we shall have to see what transpires.

Absolutely beautiful country! Thank you for sharing. That church steeple in the background very much reminds me of Sigel, IL a small town near my hometown.

It is a lovely spot. I am always eager to escape there from the city.

Beautiful spot. The sea was very calm there. Don’t worry about the future, just prep what you can. Maybe take up foraging as you live in a nice spot. Be 100% sure of what you pick though. I’ve joined foraging groups on Facebook and some TH-cam guys. Even nettle leaves when not in flower are a great source of nutrients and the seeds are fab to 😊

Thanks for watching and commenting Ruth. It really is a beautiful and relaxing location to escape to from the city. Foraging is something I have never done, but will certainly look into it.

@@TheDiomedef16 I would, it would add extra vitamins and minerals to your plate. I’ve only two videos one for Mallow and one for Sow Thistle x

Ian, your comments on the inexorable power of nature are too true. Having moved to the seaside myself in June, the constant action of the waves serves to remind me that us humans that we aren't all that important in the grand scheme of things. Never really appreciated it when I was landlocked. Hoping we have a mild winter too, although we just had snowfall last night, so an ominous sign...

Yes, we think we are all powerful. When we eventually go extinct, through whatever reason, the planet will simply heal itself, regenerate and start anew. Might take a few million years, but that is just a spit in the ocean of time.
