A lot of people complain that some of the things in the interview were twisted to make Bojack seem worse (like the ‘sneak a teen mom out of rehab’ thing) and it REALLY bothers me because there’s so much awful stuff Bojack has done that isn’t addressed in the interview at all! Like Penny? Maddie? Gina? Even Bojack notes that he’s done a lot of shit to men that the interview doesn’t touch on. Some people say the interview wasn’t ‘fair’ but a fair interview would have made Bojack look so much worse.
I love that in these episodes, we see that despite everyone's progress and character development, they're not perfect and they do still fall back into old bad habits. It's not always what you want to see but it really is realistic
"And you don't think you have any power over women." One of the most powerful statements of the entire show. One of the best episodes, too. It's about time that bojack faces the consequences of his actions.
A piece I don't think gets enough credit is what Diane says about what she knows Bojack will say in the first interview "he'll admit to the question but nothing more, show business is awful my parents were abusive," Diane was his friend and supported him over and over for years no matter what and for a time he was getting better but when Bojack was once again ducking covering and avoiding responsibility for his actions she's EXHAUSTED and Done trying to help him
Yeah I love this dude's reactions and insight but I really wish he would pause whenever he talks cuz he's missed so much good dialogue. I'm sure he catches up on whatever he missed while editing but still...

I remember when I first watched the 2nd half of this season and specifically the Xerox of a Xerox episode, I had to keep pausing to take breaks because Bojack kept stressing me out lol 😭 that whole 2nd interview i was just thinking “stop talkinggg”
You mentioned why Princess Carolyn seems put off at 20:15... I think she gets the sense, as I did when I first watched this, is that BoJack comes across more like "hey, I got away with it!" type of attitude, like he played the system, not so much expressing true regret. Something like Diane predicted. However, also as Diane warned, the other shoe dropped, and much quicker than anyone imagined. When I first saw this, I had no clue at all that Sarah Lynn was alive for 17 minutes. And since he was totally unsurprised when Biscuits Braxby asked about it, it means he must have known, probably since they got to the hospital that same night. It is what Diane said earlier: He wants to think of himself as the victim and hasn't really changed. Bojack is trying to tell P.C. why he isn't the bad guy. He points out, probably correctly, that Biscuits is using him to score a big interview as leverage to get a contract increase. To him, that makes it unfair that he has to face what he did. He may feel guilty, as with a lot of things, but with no real financial, career, or legal consequences, he has not truly been held accountable. This is the first time someone who isn't a "yes man" and in a position to actually hurt him, calls him out on it. But, you can't say he wasn't warned. When Todd way back told Bojack that he "can't just keep doing [crappy] things and then feel bad about yourself like that makes it OK. You need to be better!" And Diane just recently telling him to come clean now, it will get worse at first, but then you won't be waiting for the other shoe to drop. And it doesn't stop here, things just keep getting worse for him.
6x6 is pretty high on my list but mostly because I'm a huge fan of Judah and I really didn't see him returning. But I think 6x15 and 6x16 are my favorite episodes. Henry Fondle is my favorite Todd arc because it's just so stupid.
If he didn't do that follow up interview.... Then again when Bojack's back was to the wall he did sort of revert to his toxic persona to strike back, and even if he never meant to cause trauma, the people who he's hurt deserve closure don't they?
Man that 17 minutes.. would it really have saved Sarah-Lyn? I personally think yes, shes famous she would have gotten the top of cares, like Nikki Sixx and his two shots of adrenaline lol 😅 but it just makes the situation feel so much worse, and after having kinda recovered from it already, they really managed to get their jard episodes 11 12 even with the 4 more still coming up. And yes man i just love so much that scene with PC and Diane while Bojack is talking to his class and the way its angled, one of the best shot of the show, being topped by some still coming up lol 👀😂 i guess youre doing 13, 14 then the last two separate, its gonna be a tough 3 week 🥲 keep it up man, big love 😁
