"On the windiest of days
Time just passes us by
Unable to deal with the deafening silence
A single moment cried "is anyone out there?"
As long as it keeps moving, this boat called time can only take us to a limited number of destinations
But as soon as it comes to rest, that's when it truly becomes limitless
Allow us, the two well renowned Japanese outlaws BOSS and Krush to paint you a twilight landscape
(This meeting) was by chance, but I guess that's what you'd call fate
We both met this dude battling with the angel of death on separate occasions
This verse is dedicated to that man known as Lafura
And to the time that we spent together in the cancer (rehab) center
We met at the hospital, which felt more like one big waiting room
Talked to no end like a couple of long lost friends
His body noticeably battered, struggling to get back up from the (canvas) of life
Not once did he show it in his face, he was constantly laughing and smiling
Me and his mom just went right along and talked and laughed with him
At the time I didn't really know just how bad it was
No check that, in retrospect, it was painfully clear how bad the situation was
But I'd tell myself not to show it, because everything (illness) starts from your spirit
As I repeat this to myself, I realize just how wretched and powerless my words are
Lacking any real experience, (hollow like) an empty envelope
But just know that I really meant those words I told you
"Let's do a song together, let's hook up when you come to Sapporo"
But you know, time just seems to go faster when you're all alone with the girl and the music you like
I was in a hurry, it was like we were placed on a conveyer belt at a speed faster than we could all (imagine)
"Boss and Krush, go on and collect the parts that we call experience
And continue on towards where you're headed."
I believe those were the last words that Lafura blessed us with
Everytime I think of them, my will to live and the hopelessness of it all seems to swell
I realize, this balloon we call life is limited
But each time it shrinks, we can blow it up again, that in itself is unlimited
A frail soul crying out in an incubator continues the dream of someone lost
Not clad in full metal, in the flesh, the mental trembles
The flashbacks, hallucinations, my veins spray like an automatic
All the while, we rent worldly pleasures and recklessly search for someone to hand us a pardon
Purchase our egos at discount prices, to build our (bleak) gray theme parks that reach to the sky
Even the (lifeless) plastic that doesn't struggle to take another breath
And the asphalt will probably outlive us all
To those that make that final journey, you will be forever young
Across space and time, neither your face nor your voice will change
What kind of light you saw, and what thoughts crossed your mind in the end, I can't really say
I'm still young, I still have to deal with the haunting spirits of all the time that I've been wasting
In order to move forward, let us breath oxygen and music
And make our future homes in speakers and tweeters, that will testify that we existed
Knowledge seems to just rain down unconsciously across my notepad
But through it all, I choose to believe in the theory that there was an end before the beginning
That there is continuity to the truth
In reality, we make all of our acquaintances with the knowledge that one day we'll have to part
I find endearing warmth in our humble pursuits that we undertake just to make names for ourselves
I will not let those that left before me be cast into distant oblivion
As if they never existed ??? (couldn't catch this line)
To those of us left behind, regardless of the reasons, we must live responsibly
Although I appear to shine right now
Like a star, I could vanish like I never existed
As I sit here quietly in the corner of this the year 2000
Leave decades of memories, then descend the final curtain
The transparent spirits of the ones that have left their physical form
I pray that at the very least they rest in peace
Those memories, my own and those of others, tucked away near my heart, will become one
Time comes to a standstill, stay here with me for eternity
Our livelihoods and the places that we want to go, the people we long to see
No matter how far removed and how late we come to realize
They'll always be within reach
The one season which lights the candle that'll blow out with a single breath
Creates a history made out of (mere) ashes and dust, that continues to burn brightly
The countless memories that disappear as we peer within, are spread (like seeds) with the wind
Which allows the joyous yet tragic flower to bloom, eventually die, and continue (the cycle)

I was sober, no drink, no drugs and I felt so high. I didn't believe my friend when he said that hours had passed. When he stopped playing and I'd woken up out of my trance, I was actually sad to see him walk off stage! But yes, very grateful that I had the chance to be feel that experience
