Wish this song came out 15 years ago, i think Joyner's music could have helped my cousin Ricky. He was a very intelligent soul, very creative. But he was addicted to drugs. 😢❤ 🙏 hope this song changes someone's live around.
I wanna say how dumb can two people be like what are the odds but then u realize he raised her lol…what about when someone prescribed opioids and then have anxiety and depression or ptsd and it heals that and then they can’t get off because they feel like they are dying if they don’t have the pills/medicine…what’s that called Mr red hat God. And also if it wasn’t a disease people wouldn’t be able to get insurance to cover the help …it’s not to get out of the responsibility

By the way, you’re wrong about addiction. What about all the people who got in a car accident and were prescribed pain pills only to then become addicted? It’s not a moral issue, it’s mental and psychological. The placebo affect works because our brain constructs our reality and when we throw it out of balance with chemicals, you eventually lose the ability to chose anymore. You seem to demonize addicted in this video it’s really not cool.
People refer to psychological issues as “demons” they don’t mean it literally. The way you judge people who you understand nothing about is pretty callous and ignorant. It’s a brain disease and it’s called a disease because most people are genetically predisposed to have addiction problems.
Do research and talk to addicts this is much more complicated than you seem to think.
Show this to the loved ones of addicted people because that 2nd verse does a great job of verbalizing the land of confusion that is addiction.
