It's the rhythm, the strumming patterns that makes it sound impressive. I wish I'd known if I took music in high school that I'd get out of other lessons to go practice my instrument! I'd have had a load of good guitars, acoustic and electric at home too. Anyway, later on I regretted it and now my dad has Reynauds syndrome and we don't have the best relationship either. However, we were getting close again about a year ago and he gave me an acoustic guitar and I started taking lessons. I can play loads of songs with those 4 chords, C, G, D and Em. I can play other chords just not quick enough to play in a song, its takes me a few seconds to get my fingers in the right place but it'll come naturally in time. I'm 34, was 33 when I started playing and I love it. You can learn online but I needed someone physically there to show me what I was doing wrong and right etc. You really should buy a cheap acoustic, learn a cadd9 (an easier way of playing a c), G, D and Em and you'll be able to impress everyone with really not much skill at all 😅 saying that, other people struggle to sing when they're having to remember the strumming pattern but I didn't. Before I started lessons I just thought people made it up, I didn't know there was certain patterns for different songs. I thought you just went down, up, down, up, lol
The melody is the more complex part and gives context to the chords. Great video and I don't disagree with Ed Sheeran. Furthermore, I would argue that many of the best songs in the history of popular music are just based around 3-4 chords.

taylor xo || her name is Yolanthe Snijder-Cabau, she is married whit Wesley Snijder (football player) and they have one son Xess-Xava
NOT as Beautiful as Ed
She used to be better looking. She got a lot of work done it seems. I haven't seen her in a long time but her face looks messed up compared to how it used to look.
Saludos!
I need a full version of that Let It Be cover from Ed Sheeran immediately!
I agree it sounds so beautiful

99%: edward’s singing ability
2:38 he hides the guitar because he's not actually using the 4 chords but just enjoying the moment.
ye I saw that too haha
Well who knows, But i think he wasent doing that
He isnt using another cord he stopps the sound
I think at that part he just continued playing the actual song
Is the same chord, Em.

Thank you!
It was driving me crazy 'cause he said it was Papa Don't Preach and I was thinking: "No it's not that, wtf is it!" Then I saw your comment, and now I can sleep tonight xD
@@mikeh4297 that was the intention but he accidentally slipped to abba. it can happen with similar melodies.
When they said Beat It, he actually started singing Boom Boom by Vengaboys😂😂😂
It's ABBA lay all your love on me
He + His guiter = pure Music.
That guy is so talented
I'm sorry to disappoint you. But to do this you need 0 talent.
First time every woman in that audience has found a ginger attractive .......
unless there are harry potter fans there XD
Nothing wrong with gingers XD
Ed Sheeran just isnt the most handsome guy
ginger for mens they are not handsome it s the true :c, but for womens god sick i could kill to have a ginger girl
@@levi2732 what is this for bullshit statement haha
Phantastic voice and timing.
He completely killed it with the Bruno Mars song. So talented and he wasnt even trying.
Love him❤️
Love ginger people😇❤️❤️❤️
Everyone is welcome😇❤️
I just want the whole album just Bruno & Ed singing ❤️
every song sounds so awesome when he sings it... 🎤Much better than the original!! Love him so much😍❤ Best singer in the world! Who thinks that too?
Vivien B I agree
Bruno mars is better
Not the best he is one of the best
@@sinisa5440 Naaaa ed is the one
@@sinisa5440 no
I think that statement is incomplete.
You can play any pop song with four chords _and one Ed Sheeran_.
Wtf
Nah cuz all you need is some rhythm and very little knowledge on chords
I'm not a pop fan, but I saw Ed live and he was AMAZING. And yeah these four chords should be human patrimony for anyone to use freely, guessing this was in the context of plagiarism cases.
So freaking talented, i am so proud of our Ed
kudos to him for mentioning frank zappa, ed is one of the very few true artists with a big audience who does actually know music
yeah, but it would be even better if he could write and play great music. He's not one thousandth of the artist Zappa was.
Ed Sheeran is an absolute legend mad respect 💯
maybe ED have the best manager in this world or .he.. dont have manager..-incredible THAT he is STILL real human bean..-BRAVO ED..try to stay like these AND walk your road...
Do Magik Human bean xd
Human bean hahaha

Thanks for the video!!
Gracias por compartirlo!!!

He's like one of those books "Play 100 songs with 3 chords"
ED is a GENIUS.
Do you know Dave mustaine, Dimebag darrell or James Hetfield?
Bro you certainly have no knowledge on guitar but it's fine....
Nah he's not.

He really isnt
His voice is amazing Love it❤️
yap, me to...💜
Nope he is amazing

Ed: "Name any current pop song"
Tv host: "Let it be!"
Imagine being able to do this at a party.. you could have the features of a snowman and walk away with every honey in the place xD
Lol, my non guitar playing friends think I'm Eric Clapton in disguise when I play my same 4 chords for every song 😅 I was so happy when I started playing Losing My Religion by REM until the fkn F chord reared it ugly head haha, I know it's in the intro but I just skipped that hoping it wouldn't be there again. The rest is mainly Am and Em with a Dm and G now and again but there's a section that's got F in so... F that 😅 for now anyway 😉
@@melodyvalentine8779 See?? I didn't understand a word of that and already find you kind of attractive just based on that... It's literally a magnet that attracts the other sex, I have no idea why I never learned to play xD
@@Pellemain well its never too late, my dad has played the guitar since he was 15 and I had the chance to learn from him as a kid but wasn't interested at all.
@@melodyvalentine8779 hold on a minute there.... you telling me I have to coordinate both hands?
HE STOLE THIS!!! Axis of Awesome did this EXACT thing 13 years ago
The melody is the more complex part and gives context to the chords. Great video and I don't disagree with Ed Sheeran. Furthermore, I would argue that many of the best songs in the history of popular music are just based around 3-4 chords.
'I got Eve Lauren and Saint Lauren!' Lmao! 100% the lyrics after a few glasses of a GOOD red wine xD
Just goes to show how talented he really is
Just goes to show what a cuck you are
Loved when he stopped "Let it be" right when the F-chord was about to come because that wasn't part of his 4 chords :DD
Kroneder Sebastian let it be key in G dont have F Chord bro
Uhm no?
@@HateLoveHP Yeah lol. I realized that later on. My bad. :'D
@@Kronse2601 lol how long is this comment bro. It's ok.
I don't think it's the chords. I think it's his voice that makes it beautiful
Just shows how much talent from goes into songs these days, imagine trying to play the stones in 4 chords, wouldn't happen
Lars Hoeijmans dakloos was?
interesting progress jep.
Good vocalist with unique voice👍
hoe hij walking away zingt😍
Bas Kaathoven hoe heet dat eerste song????
Je ma Kaas let her go passenger
the 4 chord song by axis of awesome shows this even better :D
