As an enlisted veteran, I always have to empathize with the common soldier in these formations, and the tons of work involved with putting on one of these demonstration marches. NOT the Nazi ideology, NOT war crimes, none of that, so please, back off. It’s just that I’ve been there, with sore legs and hours of boredom, just so some civilians can go, “Ooh, look at the pretty soldiers.” And the Nazis were masters at putting on a show.
Carmen Opramolla, Thank's Dear Lady, the Germans came in 'Offensive (Barbarossa) 'East - 2-months too late because Helping Mussolini -ergo -upcoming in Winter.. Under this (and others) circumstandes starting the problems. Planned -Target- in flash/Blitz- 6-months to Moskau, real-Target - nearest Wehrmacht-Units - stopped 12-KM in front of Moskau.. - troops have been divided - Rest/Reasons are well known.. Lady Carmen, you are devinitively absolute 'Right, Should learn from history from Napoleon.. Last but not least, Germans want with arrival Moskau, stopping - and not like plans Napoleon, occupate deeper GeoPolitical Russia. Thanks for Attention.
I wonder how many of these soldiers were still alive in four year's time. Given the slaughter on the Eastern and Western Fronts, probably not many. It would be interesting to know what percentage of the soldiers who invaded France in 1940 were still alive at the end of the war. How were the mighty fallen.
Chile had prussian and german military advisors prior ww2.. they even used wehrmacht eqiupment, divisions setup and pre war tactics. They use that stuff even today
What is so glorious about seeing an occupying army showing off. There is nothing here to reflect the tragedy of the downfall of France at this time! Ugh!
Yes still butthurt as you say buddy; about our murdered innocent relatives 80 years ago and what Germany looted. That's your problem that you are sad that the descendants of Nazi victims will not forget. No joy in watching soldiers fighting for a murderer march down the streets of Paris or the rest of Europe and knowing millions of innocent people losing their lives for nothing.
Unbelievable, but also fascinating

Gracias por compartir. Hoy todo es historia. Gracias.
Equipment seen: towed 50 mm anti tank guns (short barrel), Panzer III/37 mm, plenty of Captured Somuas to tweak the French noses. : )

The Germans did this march daily until virtually the end of the Occupation on Aug. 24, 1944.

I wonder if these are home movies.
Is that the 6th Army?
Interestingly the officer at 5:00 minutes give the military salute, and not the Hitlergruss.
Completely normal for that time.
I noticed that they don't goose step until just before they pass in review.

Scary.
Que?
Never that again 😭🙏
3 Jahre später wieder weg!
Furchtbar! Was man mit Menschen alles machen kann!

Where does it say it was glorious? Still butthurt over events that occurred 80 years ago? Sad.
