- One of the best pistol ever, Beeman P1, in .22 Caliber, giving a stunning 460 fps with pellets, and superior accuracy for the pistol in its class. Honestly, I never appreciated this pistol, until I got it in hand, then the whole story changed!

I have the black Star hw45 in 177, being it's a Springer it's better that you don't shoot it dry also when shoot adopt the artillery hold this means a loose hold so that the spring recoll goes backwards , you'll get a better grouping this way,use this method with all spring loaded guns !
DO NOT DRY FIRE!!! You have one hell of a collection btw
It IS a Spring Powered Air Pistol! You should NOT dry fire it when cocked in Low or High power! You can only dry fire it when you Only release the hammer catch, when you release the Hammer catch for cocking, it sets the trigger. Once doing so you can dry fire the pistol without cocking the spring piston. I have had a P-1 since they first came out. I only paid $132.00 dollars for it way back then, Wow the price has sure gone up! : )
9 years later, but I was afraid for his gun when he did that.
Wow, I just shot my new beeman P1 !!!
3 shots with h&n 11.9 wadcutter .22 cal pellets thru my ballistic chronograph and the dieseling effect recorded muzzle velocities above 630 fps!!!
I put some rubber finger groove 1911 Pierce grips on my P1 and it feels even better in the ✋
Hits the V spot. Nice can/target stash! Allways super loud when its burning off the oil in the barrell when its new.
Great review, iv'e just got the hw45 today in .177 brought it off the back of your review and very glad i did, this is my first spring pistol i have a couple of co2 pistols the pt85 blow back and the crosman 357 i did have a dan wesson 715 but it only lasted for 3 weeks until the trigger or hammer broke so got a refund and brought the hw45. strange how it's a different name to yours i no the Weihrauch hw45 is the proper name for it so strange how yours is called the Beemen p1, anyway great review my friend from over in the UK
love this guy!
I believe that it is a spring powered pistol. Essentially like a hopped up Webley Tempest!
Just bought myself a good used one.
of course it´s a springer , my friend !!
First he says it's not a springer and it's alright to dry fire it and then he explains how it works by compressing a spring: strange!
Never dry fire these pistols.
Great 👍🏻 video how many FPS too this one ?
Good grouping
That model most certainly is a spring piston gun and you should not be dry firing it.
The gamo os a single stroke pneumatic which can ve dry fired and the beeman p1 is a spring piston gun which should not.
+Ammo Man yeah, I was surprised he dry fired it.
Actually the original manual says that you can dry fire the SPRING PISTON version on the LOW power setting, but not to dry fire it on the HIGH power setting. What this guy has is the newer GAS PISTON version that you would be able to dry fire, but I'm not sure.
The best advise is to never dry fire a spring piston airgun no mater what the manual says. That way you have taken any possibility of damage out of the equation.
I agree. That is my practice. My Beeman P1 is going on 25-years old now and is as powerful and accurate as ever.
@@Rooster1Cogburn No such thing its spring piston
You finally got one? ;) Compare it to an Alecto... both are my favorite handguns, other than the 2240 customized. But it's a fantastic gun and the Beeman version is every bit the same as the Weihrauch version. BTW, if you're willing to do a review on a customized 2240, I'll be happy to send you either the parts or the gun itself :)
Hahaha, yes, finally. I still don't have an Alecto here, but I really do not fancy that kind style, maybe in the future, who knows? LOL! Right now this is really good for its type, but also not my "favorite" yet because I have PCP that spoiled me too much these days, LOL! 2240 - I have it too, and only managed to scope it up with a steel breech installed, nothing more!~ What mods are you thinking of doing?
Happy to send you a longer barrel, bulk fill, HPA, valve, you name it... let's chrony it! But worried - are canada's gun laws restrictive on FPS?
Airgun n00b Hahahahah! Well I don't think we can do much with the 2240, because pistols are restricted to be sub 500fps. If you tune it higher than 500fps, it will be a prohibited weapon, what a pile of bullshit eh? You and I know, IF we want, it is SO EASY to tune a gun over 500fps too, but of course, people like me also abide the law, which sucks. LOL!
Hmm, how about reviewing a .25 that shoots at 495 fps? ;) That's pretty fast, right? Dude, don't all your Evanix and Air Arms weapons shoot faster than 500 fps?
Airgun n00b hahahaha...damn you are sneaky! .25! email me to talk okay? makjosi@chiinnature.com
Diesel it and let me know if that brings up the FPS please do this and let me know because I maybe interested thank you
It's loud because you're shooting 🎯 inside close range, I'm sure outside is totally different..
Hi, Wat do you think and recommend you to buy?..
Beeman P1 22 Cal.?
HW 45 177 Cal.?
Webley Tempest 117 Cal. or 22 Cal.?
Wabley Alecto 117 Cal. or 22 Cal.?
Zoraki HP-01 Ultra 117 Cal. or 22 Cal.?..
A.S.A.P. an answer please... Thank you...
P1 and HW45 is the same gun. I will pick that over the Webs and Zoraski...
Very nice! :-)
NEVER EVER EVER DRY FIRE 🔥 AIR GUNS. JUST SAYIN.
Ok :) I'm a nice guy. Hey I'm half asian but first thought was, "Dang! Dude is super Chinese!" Great Review btw.
do not ever dryfire a spring piston airgun my friend!
Boy, no kidding - I puckered up just a little when he did that. Go ahead and dry fire that single stroke pneumatic, but please, please don't do that with the spring piston gun. Oh, and that loud bang and all that smoke? You're right - I bet it dieseled. Too much oil in it. I have the HW 45 version (in 5mm caliber), and it seems a little prone to this, no matter how sparingly I keep it oiled. Fantastic pistol though, in spite of that. One more "oh" - that low power setting is almost completely useless, with the point of impact changing about two feet at 25 yards. Just an entirely different recoil impulse, due to the spring being compressed so much less.
the p1 most certainly IS a spring piston gun, and should NEVER be dry fired
No, he has a gas piston version of it.
Rooster1Cogburn there's no such version.. the HW45/Beeman P1 is purely a Springer.
The Gamo pistol he took out at 03:40 is a gas piston pistol, the review is of the Spring HW45/P1. Gas piston can be dry fired like a Co2, PCA, PCP etc but not a springer. It will 100% damage the internals
Nice video! 👍
I boutgh the same pistol.
It looks and feels nice, it shoots nice, it's well made... But, it rattels :/
If i slowley flip it left or right, it rattels.. Is this "normal" ?
(for a pistol in this prise range)
i just unboxed new one and it also rattles … it is the two arms that pull back the main spring when cocking as the gun does not rattle when in open position must be a little slack in arms when closed... other than that not a bad pistol...
Your gun is dieseling. The smoke will dissipate as the oil lessens. Be sure to use air gun safe oil.
I have an eighties era West German, San Rafael stamped P1.
can somebody please help my hw 45 in .22 doesnt seem to have high power setting it only cocks to half way sort of thing? any help would b good thanks
The 22 version is only one power setting for the cocking. The .177 version has 2 power levels
@@rodgarrett32 it depends on the vintage of the HW45. Older 22s only had the high power setting, newer ones have both the power settings. The 22 was originally sold as for hunting for things like rats at close range, so Weihrauch and Beeman didn't include the lower power
"Holy Shit! That thing is like a fire arm!"
mikeysclips no its not
looks so sexy gun im looking to get one of this 4 i was wondering what you think i should get 1 HW45 Silver Star 22cal 2 Beeman P1 .22 Cal 3 (Webley Alecto) .22 4 Xisico XSP180 .22 Caliber Break Barrel Spring Piston was wonderin what one you think i should get ?
+Epic Gamer I will get a HW or Beemanm the are about the same thing anyway. Not a fans of webley myself and never have much hope for the Xisico. Don't like break barrels myself! A few pump strokes is better
hey bro i watch all your videos thanks for commenting back :) HW looks amazing the beeman looks thats same which is more powerfull HW or beeman . the xisico with 177 cal goes over 500fps tho
+Epic Gamer Honestly, unless you are hunting, if just on paper and cans, 460 fps and 500 fps doesn't really matters. The give and take is the spring action on the xisico with higher power will means more recoil and accuracy is the price. A balance point is the key! I would say the HW and Beeman are really like the same shit, and they are both pretty good in balance of power and recoil kick. These are high priced guns, they are more geared toward accuracy and precision than "power" in a way. Maybe if you want power you should try a T8.1 with breaker balls like me, lol! Nothing beats a co2 gun with 30 joules of power. These .22 cal can never have enough power for your enjoyment!
lol true id just go with HW its very good has what i want il buy iscico later on. im in london we and only have 6footpound guns and for airrifles only 12footpound its decent . yes how much fps does HW goes ? co2 guns are cool but its more money to keep buying co2 hate that lol
+Epic Gamer the HW and beman are about the same, the go around 460 fps or so I believe. Still within the 6fpe mark of course. 12 fpe you can go for PCP rifles, its definitely fun to pump air into your own guns and have semi auto!
It’s an HW45 with been an wrote on it.
it is a spring piston gun, you said it isn't so dry fire is OK...not OK to dry fire.
that burning smell is because . it is dieselling when you shot it.
You put a .177 pellet in it if it fell out the front of the barrel lol
Hey there, I'm looking into one of these precision single shot air pistols now. Would you say that the P1 is a lot more accurate than the better pellet co2 guns, like the S&W 586? And also which gun do you find is the best precision and power for the money? I'm looking for something a bit stronger but more importantly more accurate than my Vigilante with 0.177 caliber.
Tim C The SW 586 is not precision at all, it's just a plinker that is priced high because of the body is made of blued steel. The P1 is a precise gun, but not yet to the precision shooting level yet. You want to find a match pistol for precision. This one is accurate, but maybe not yet the precision category I guess. Compare this to my Piccolo P11, this one is way out of the question. The thing is, the P1 have horrible recoil, so when you shoot it, the gun will "kick" hard, and with that kick, you have no precision already.Best precision for the money? Daisy Avanti 499 Champion, it's not a joke, it is REALLY precise and accurate even with JUST a bb. Also the GAMO Compact, it is also a target style pistol, requires a bit of modification to make the trigger even better, but stock , it is also very good. Vigilante revolver is just a plinking gun, nothing more. So ya, if you want something really ACCURATE, then go with a Daisy Avanti 499, you will see BBs going from hole to hole at 10m, it's really crazy. You will not believe your eyes. But then again, if you really want POWER and precision at the same time, things like Piccolo P11 cost 1.5k... lol...
he makes me laff a lot so enthusiastic but 9% wrong sometimes but great anyway
Do not dry fire my friend

LOL!
you paid to much but call it by it's real name the WEIHRAUCH HW 45 beeman lost it's license agreement with weihrauch .177 is my choice but real nice pistol I have like 15,000 shots through my pistol it goes every were with me in my backpack some JSB's or H&N pellets and varmints beware
kenny cadarett It's real name is what's on the box, Beeman, that's what it is on mine. I don't give a shit about their license, but when I buy a pistol and the box say Beeman, it is a Beeman. LOL! Or else my viewers all think I am crazy telling them something not on the box!
Chiinnature doesn't matter what it says on the box ask airguns of Arizona so many were shipped to beeman they put the beeman name on it it's the hw45 oh and dry firing the pistol messes up the pistol it is a spring piston I have had mine for like ten years
kenny cadarett of course I know it is a HW45, just that when doing a review, it's important to just tell what's on the box. Whatever info extra can be given later. Never dry fire spring pistol, that's common sense~ :)
Why would u go in tbe woods and kill varmits not on your property u idiot. Illegal.
I heard the accuracy was terrible compared to the Hw75
❤️👍👍👍
