Storm Watching in Ucluelet at Amphitrite Lighthouse, Vancouver Island near Tofino - 4K Drone

Sometimes the seas on the west coast of the island are up but the winds are light enough to get a drone in the air. On this day I was able to get my DJI Mini3 Pro out and the clouds even let the sun peek through for a bit. In this video I fly near the Amphitrite Point Lighthouse and a cove slightly north of it, just off the Wild Pacific Trail.
I decided to go with classical music and make it a sort of Fantasia vibe. Many viewers say they would prefer to hear the waves but the drone doesn't have a microphone and it's not as good an exercise in editing to just lay some recorded wave noise.
The massive Pacific Ocean storms tend to hit us here in the Ucluelet Tofino area pretty regularly from October to May often bringing 100mm of rain in a day and winds touching on hurricane force. We had a decent amount of wind last night, too but nothing extreme for us… definitely windier than forecast though. Big seas today and moderate winds. Similar to this video

I read it's a $3000 fine for drone flying there. There's a helipad nearby or something.

Depending on your qualifications and the classification of your UAV some people can legally fly in places others can’t.
Also, many of the general beliefs about where you can fly out here are based on out of date regulations that have changed. Published information on local government websites and signs often aren’t in line with actual current regulations.
