Hey spencer bran spankin new to flathead catfishing I’ll be using a fenwick musky rod had it for years never bought a reel for it until a week ago so that will be my flathead rig oh abu Garcia ambassador sx cheap but it gets me started for flathead so I watch so many of your videos so as to pick highest percentage spots on my small river 299 miles long I just want to enjoy a little bit of what I see with you even the small ones want to eat one for the first time I’m imbarest that I haven’t thx again

Great Video. It's amazing how a couple of bigger cats can make it a great night of fishing. Glad to that you guys didn't fall in or really sink in the mud. One question, what do you think is the best bait for All Catfish but especially Channel. Having good luck with crawlers but not what I want. Too many bait stealers out in the water. Thanks Spenser!

Spencer need your opinion man. when Im shore hoping I use a rigged cooler like you for my bait fish. So i bought a bigger boat( a toon) before buying a bait tank, I got a 56q old Coleman. Think it would be just as good live well for 10-12 gills if did like the small one, only with 2x aerators. We usually go mid day through the night. so maybe 12-13 hours max with them in the tank.
You'll be able to put more bait in it than that. I use a 20 quart cooler and routinely keep 12-15 gills in it for that long.

I love who you guys went to all that work pulling the kayaks to the river and then 5-10 minutes after you guys back on the bank, a random dude just passes by on his John boat. It seems like you can try to get into the middle of nowhere and someone shows up.

Theyre Astral water shoes. Ironically I can't find one of them now. Kinda bummed about it.

I had a flathead take a green sunfish a couple nights ago but reeled him into snag & it sucked but either way the bites on for them.
