      But at least Shifter in hand is better than Shifter on board.

      Not when you need to get card with immediate effect to negate enemy lethal on board. Even Patches would have been much better.

      Chat was spamming "LUL Welcome back", it was the funniest shit ever. Also kind of emotional, our dear kripp the saltlord dodged lethal and got back to his audience as soon as he could.

    The first type of procedure you discussed was a "laparoscopic appendectomy". It may have not been burst, but perhaps perforated or too large to fit through the small incisions MIS generally uses (usually a maximum of 1/2").

    I have sleeping issues, had kidney stones, and had appendicitis. I feel for Kripp. It sucks. And he’s right: the pain of appendicitis is pretty bad, but it doesn’t scratch the surface of the agony of kidney stones.

    That 1-10 scale of pain is meaningless.
    Torn ligament: 5, Bashing pinky toe on table leg: 7, Second degree burn on sole of foot: 8
    Zit in ear: 11

    • @JohnnyNatrium
      @JohnnyNatrium 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's not like it's directly meant to correspond to the seriousness of an illness or injury. Certain numbers are more often associated with certain afflictions so it helps identifying, but most of all they use it for pain control to determine if and how much they should medicate you, since pain control is very important.

    Maybe this gives some insight to some of you nice people (I am a studying paramedic in Switzerlan):
    1) Kidney stones seem to be the most intense pain a human CAN experience. Yes, even more than birth. But it does vary from person to person.
    2) Everything else he said is also true :)
    Get better soon!!!

      jokes aside, im lucky enough i havent suffered both of those, the most painful thing i experienced so far probably either breaking my bones (i play alot of futsal) and getting dengue fever
      just the thought of having those stones in kidney already made me shiver..

    My appendectomy had no residual pain. Just soreness from the general area. My symptoms were very non-typical, though. I went to the hospital with persistent nausea (vomiting every hour) and numbness in the stomach area. They had no idea what was wrong until they did a scan thing.

  • @wadenbeisser2491

    Never heard of a test that involves standing on one foot and hopp around. I know about a single spot on the lower right belly-ish area to press hard and then release quickly to witness the pain. Thats the only proof needed. If you think it might be the appendix, you remove the appendix, sometimes you are wrong but better safe than sorry. I am glad you are well Kripp. German med. Student here.

    • @exantiuse497
      @exantiuse497 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mattias Hicking Blumberg sign isn't present in all cases of appendicitis, and lower abdominal pain isn't specific enough. Surgery must never be done "because better safe than sorry" in appendicitis suspects, the probability of a patient dying because of delayed treatment is about ten times less likely than dying of complications of the surgery, so useless surgery should be avoided. Obvious cases are obvious, but proper examination in unsure cases saves lives, not cost them

  • @RoderickEtheria
    @RoderickEtheria 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Staying in bed after surgery hurts much worse than getting out of bed and at least sitting. It really hurts bad to try to get out of bed, which might require a bit of help if you don't have something to provide support, but as soon as you get up out of bed, your pain goes away quickly. I learned that from my hernia operation. I was in a position where there was nothing to push against to help get me to my feet, and my family wouldn't come to offer me any chance to pull against them to get up. They insisted that I needed to get to my feet by myself for my strength to return. Wasn't asking them to pull me up, just asking them to be something I could use to pull myself up with.

    My brothers appendix burst inside his body. The pain for him was so unbearable that he literally couldn't stand. We didn't know what it was at first so we carried him to the car and rushed to the hospital. The doctor said he would have died within 12 hours later if we hadn't brought him in. He had an emergency operation and he has a huge scar.

    Romania:
    1. You call the ambulance.
    12h pass.
    2. You realize it's not comming and you call a cab.
    3. Get to the hospital.
    4. Wait 30min for somebody to "give a shit" your there.
    5. Nurse tell you the doctor will be in to see you soon. And no, ofc she doesn't ask what's wrong.
    6. Patient dies.
    7. Doctors shows up after 1-2days
    8. No need for an autopsy, well you don't need any legal papperwork proving they are the cause.

    I had kidney stones once but we were too far away from any hospital so I suffered through most it until we got to a doctor's office not a hospital. When it finally was settling at the doctor's office I found out what it was. I was 16 when that happened, worst pain in my life.

  • @lost1110

    I got the operation last year and mine was really big and hurts so bad that you want to die, i don't know how you bared with pain for 32 hours.

  • @MattHazard95
    @MattHazard95 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    In Russia, for example, appendix is removed for about 40 long surgery. Mine was 1,5 hours long and people outside the surgery-room started to worry, because it took so long.
    Before the operation, when I didn`t even know what it was, doctor literally punched me (not powerfully, but pretty roughly) in a stomach, because if it really is an appendicitis - it will hurt. And it really did.
    Of course, I received anesthesia during the operation and everything was fine after a week of being in hospital. It hurt for about for two month, but here we don`t get morphin or anything else, even people with cancer receive it barely in their last moments of life.
    Why am I writing this? Because even I and millions of people survive this, Kripp. I hope you will be fine ;)

    • @ss2smallhours
      @ss2smallhours 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      lethality of appendictis is pretty low i would say, its actually just abdominal pain that needed surgery to be fixed with
      one of my colleague, he didnt know he got appendicitis and he ignore his belly pain for about a week before its impossible for him to walk without having sharp pain, took him solid 12 days to bounce back to work again

    Feel bad for anyone in pain, but to put things into perspective Kripp, I have to take 168mg of morphine just to make it through the day. Thats every day, 7 days a week,52 weeks a year for the rest of my (probably short) life. Speedy recovery good sir as I know that pain is exhausting.

    When I was being tested for appendicitis, I got my balls groped multiple times. First they pressed the left side of my lower torso, then the right (where the appendix is). Then they touched my balls?

    Kripp if you read this I give you a very friendly advise: Take a step back from all of this... you need some rest man this will fucking destroy you in the long run if you don't give your body a break... and I am serious about this I work as a psychologist in a burnout clinic and what you are doing is leading you exactly there... I am sure you will probably not take me seriously at all but I am just worried about my favourite hs streamer that's all.

      He's giving his body a break all day every day. What are you talking about? What he should do is work on getting better sleep (probably means streaming earlier too) but he's recovering from his infection and surgery very well so his body is clearly in fine state.

    Kidney stones are really something else. I've had kidney attack because of stones once, i didn't even know i had the fucking stones too, the pain was UNREAL, and i've really experienced alot of painful things, one of wich was breaking and removing my CHEWING tooth without anestethic because it wasn't working cus of infection.
    One or two years later, don't remember exactly, they just dissapeared from both my kidneys, and doctors even said 7 and 8mm stones won't just come out by them selves.
    Long story short, kidney stones suck.
