In case you were wondering; what he meant by that is that they're really bad even in comparison to useless minions.
A cost inefficient minion, you wilol eventually play and have some kind of advantage from it. But bad spells are so niche that they might do nothing at all. (i.e. Shatter without freeze effects or Mind Games or Far Sight)
Far sight will draw you a card at least.And maybe the 3 cost reduction carries on to the Shifter.

I love the Brawls where you pray to RNGesus every turn. The randomness to this extreme makes for fun and funny moments, and that's worth all the frustrating ones.
I much much much prefer this to unstable portals, raven idols, or spiders, because there's no delay in seeing what random card you have. Having to cast those spells every time is just kind of an annoyance that drags out the games. (especially the case with spiders, where you even have to wait for them to die). This just gets right to the fun stuff.
Raven Idols was my favorite tbh, since it was also "random" (always of your class) spells, so picking class was relevant
True, Raven Idols was cooler than the others I mentioned because you could choose between spells and minions, and kind of build your own deck during the game. Unstable Portals and Spiders are much less fun than shifters though, IMO.
Yup, for me it's Raven Idols > shifters > portals > spiders

Yeah, I'd agree with that. I kind of forgot how fun the Raven Idols one was. It was a bit like arena, but during the game. You'd be able to build your curve and everything.
Only thing that was a bit of an annoyance though again is making you sit through 5 turns of people just casting Raven Idols and waiting for them to make their picks. Shifters is a bit more fast paced. Though it also helps that you start on turn 3.

Honestly though, this weeks brawl was really shitty in my opinion. In the end it just boils down to who gets the better cards at the right time. It's even worse than just random minions because that would at least mean that there was a strategic component in planing out future turns.

Yeah my opponent got a mysterious challenger while playing paladin followed by cairne ,sylvanass and Chromagnus to reply to this play I did hero power into concede into smash my computer monitor
It's for fucking fun stop complaining about it. If you don't like something, just ignore it instead of incessantly bitching about it on the Internet, especially if it's a week-long optional game mode on a card game

One thing to note kripp: C'thun cards will count as buffing C'thun even if u don't have one so if ur shifter turns into C'thun or a 10 attack minion and u have buffed enough for 10 u still get the effects

Farsight into Zerus always transfers the 3 mana reduction for any minion. great it works so easily in this brawl.

Seriousleee Kripp, he totally wanted to buff your Ghaz'rilla with that Goldshire Footman. And thus, the One Shoterino Kripperino would've been born. But you messed up!
In my experience the best way to win this brawl was to play exclusively good cards, and never settle for less. I found that Warlock and Warrior were the best classes for this since you could either fill you hand with Zerus, or just wait out the turns and stack armour. This strategy won me almost every game, as long as my opponents didn't get stupid lucky.
I had one game where my opponent played a Tirion, used all three charges of the Ashbringer, and then played another Tirion.
I also had a game where I played Deathwing around turn 11, it got immediately removed, and the game still ended up lasting until Fatigue. The only reason I won was because my opponent's Ogre Ninja hit my Dreadsteed 3 times.
I had another game where I played Mistcaller, brought it back with the Shadowstep Toxin, and then played it again the next turn.
Do the Shifters keep the + effects from Mistcaller if they transform ?

In my experience with Zerus, holding onto cards is to your advantage. A fat hand will give you more options each turn. Play slow and find something fun. The worst play is to just play an unchanged Zerus. I've seen people do it. lol.
That last one was so beautiful.
what if they changed bolf into 3/9 whenever a character attacks your hero it takes 3 damage

OH. I thought you meant that it would do some shit like turn all damage into 3 damage which would be absolutely terrible.
if they did that PLUS its current ability, it would finally get to the point where its equiparable to a taunt but slightly better. Right now it's pretty much a "6 mana heal 9 hp to your hero" spell.
He is used to counter aggro deck and they mostly have less than 3 attack

Ya know, Since it's important to save the shifters and getting early on the board is good, my argument is that Paladin is good because you can put guys on the board without wasting your shifters
Lol... Just as he mentioned that he never experienced the Bolvar Fordring effect himself in the tavern brawl, I was in a tavern brawl game myself (multitasking) and I got a Nerubian Prophet transformation.
actually this card in the beggining got tons of interactions like nerubian prophet and stuff like that, but now is nerfed, it doesnt have any interaction at all, this was a pretty cool fact if we think its coming from a legend, so sad they decided to nerf it like that

I played almost 20 brawls, and I got totally shit on with rng and lost every single game... love this brawl
There's no such thing as "very unique." You either are one of a kind or you aren't. There are no degrees of one of a kindness.
In my first brawl my first 5 played minions were all mechs (Annoy-o-tron->2xIron Sensei->Annoy-o-tron->Snowchugger)...and then my ooponent top-dicked Mass Dispel.

I had a cool moment on the brawl
2 health left against a hunter (so dead to hero power next turn) he had 24 health and some minions. I had a warlock portal (forgotten it's name) and prophet velen playing as a paladin. the only shifter in my hand turns into animated armour and top decked concecration left the hunter with 8 health and no board he can't do one damage and concedes. Probably the only 2 cards that would've saved me there.
This brawl is basically topdecking simulator.
I don't know, my shifter transformed into a norshire cleric and it had 2 attack by itself, and some other cards had more attack that they are meant to
This tavern brawl is weird. I was playing Warlock and I once had a Shifter Zerus change into a Earthen Ring Farseer. It didn't contribute to my tempo, so I played one that had turned into a Shifting Shade instead. The farseer changed into Shifter Zerus the next turn, which I didn't even know was possible. I had no other plays so I had to tap to try and make up for the tempo loss on the next turn. I ended up losing that game. The RNG is real.
I had a Shifter Zerus turn into another Shifter Zerus during one brawl.
my best moment in this brawl was calling out my shifter to become blade of C'Thun and it actually became one which eventually won me the game
If Spawn of Shadows was a hunter card it would have been what Explosive Shot should have been. Remember how broken that shit was in Wrath? That spell alone made Survival OP as fuck.

It's fun until you run into cards the opponent would normally have and they win... a few times in a row XD I can't tell you how many times I ran into Sylvanas in consecutive games

well id be pretty bonkers just think about dropping two massive minions in one turn .yeah it would cost u one turn of tempo but u have such an advantage so that i doesnt even matter
AOELCyclone Turn one 10 drop but you lose turn two oh no. Safest option would be Soggoth the Slitherer but that's still a 5/9 taunt

If I change my region to a different server, I know that I start over without my collection and progress etc. But can I go back to my original region later and still use my original collection, or does it get wiped? I figure it won't get wiped, but I don't want to try it until I get confirmation, just in case

Your original region stays the same, progress and collections are region-bound and stay that way. Your original region doesn't get wiped, it's just that it's only accessible from that region.

i'm playing concede shaman, too. I went from rank 4 to rank 19 in only a 2 hours. But i think i do something wrong.
I managed to do Shifter int Tomb Spider into Tomb Spider, Into Tomb Spider into Haunted Creeper, endless value
It seems like Shifter Zerus isn't complete random or at least every time i played the brawl all mine would be around 2-3 mana at the start and then get larger as the game goes on.. could just be a coinsadence
