I absolutely love seeing millennials raising kids. A lot of us grew up with old school parents that didn’t know what mental health was or didn’t even know how to feel emotions. Wondering how confident and bad ass Arrow will be as an adult ❤ I think you’re doing a great job :)
These are great! Thank you for putting this list together. My son turned 3 in October and it's been... interesting. We skiped the "terrible twos" but the "threenager" is here and he's no joke. One thing I've found really helps when he's refusing to do something (and this could be an alternative to your 10th tip if that isn't working for someone) is to challenge him on how quickly he can do it vs. me. My boy is very competitive and loves to be fast, and so if I say "I think I can do X faster than you" (put my jacket on, run up the stairs to the bathroom, etc.) he drops the "NO" and immediatly goes into proving me wrong.
#4 is clever and I use it too! Moms out there solving problems 💅 Your creativity makes me think you would be an amazing teacher! Regardless, you are a fabulous mom.
Please keep these tips up for every stage of childhood! I’m not a mom, but my friends have kids and I would like to help them whenever they feel defeated!
Thank you so much for these tips!! Our twins just turned 3 and our little girl is much more threenager than her twin brother, but they LOVE showing what they can do all by themselves so these tips will work WONDERS!!! 😍😍😍 Our daughter also likes to say “I have an idea…” so we will now present things to her in the same way and she will tell us “THAT IS A GREAT IDEA!!!” 😏😏😏 Gives her the power to approve an idea that mommy and daddy present to her!
I'm not a mom yet, but I'll definitely be going back to these in the future. You have so much great advice! I've been around since she was wee, so I've gotten all of your advice from the start. You make me excited to be a parent! ❤
Came back to tell you that we use the oh you don’t know how to? On my toddler now. He will do the task but he also tells you the order of what is supposed to be done and instructs you on how to do it as he’s doing it
same... we do the alarm for bed time and other random things.. we also let him pick out his clothes too not matter what he comes up with haha...i love the photo idea... and love the rename idea!! loved this.. thanks
I love the timer, take a picture, next days plan bits! I also let them chose what they wear but I give them 2 options to choose from so they are still in charge but we don’t spend 3 hours looking at clothes for the day 😂
Love these.. how do you all deal with “fibbing”? For example, I know she didn’t wash her hands after she went to the bathroom but she says she did.. or her saying her quiet time timer went off already and that’s why she is in the kitchen but it didn’t… just small fibs but I can’t seem to escape the fibs and they irk me so!!
This is such a helpful video, my little one is 2.5 so getting some insight as to how 3 year olds act is always nice lol. The alarm for bedtime has been game changer, she started refusing night time and I was going bonkers. I do have a question for anyone, my daughter is now scared of “monsters and spiders in her room” so she wants me to lay in her crib with her in order to fall asleep. Any tips on breaking that cycle? I am exhausted, it’s now been a whole month of this. She will cry and not sleep if I don’t. Help!
Take a picture of it works when the child doesn’t want to clean their creations too! 😃 I also utilize “clean it up before a new activity”. And if they want the old activity outI let them, but tell them that if they want to bring out another toy they’ll have to clean up the older toy mess. This eliminates the overwhelming mess for them as well as allows them to have to do a task but they can choose when!
very useful tips! but isn't the 4th contradicting a bit the 1st rule? because some of them they may not forget. very clever idea though! maybe not make it about sending it to santa
I know I’m getting close to the 3nager because a lot of these are starting to apply to my boy. He ate eggs yesterday because his 8 year old auntie helped him make them and he decided he better eat them. I’ve tried to get him to eat eggs for months!
My daughter just turned 3 a month ago ... She was so calm when she was two I thought I escaped and was actually doing a good job then threenager came 😂
Love you videos, Brittany, but something is strange with your sound quality on this and your previous video. It could be me but I'm not noticing it on any other videos I've been watching. Just wanted to let you know.
Ill have a threenager in one month and one day...counting down. I save my one dollar bills and give them to my daughter in her own wallet. She can spend roughly 10 bucks once or twice a month. She gets to hand her cash to cashier. We count, learm social skills, and the concept of finances.

I love that spin on number 10! ❤
Thank you so much for mentioning that not everyone is celebrating christmas. Love you Brittany
The timer is my most favourite invention. It is the only way we are able to do anything without a major melt down!!
Such an easy game changer!

Aww thank you so much ❤
Totally agree with these 👏🏻 gotta try the renaming approach! Lots of deep breaths for mom 😆

You got this! ❤
Love your vids with these kind of themes. I always look forward to them

Wheeewwwwww 😂😮💨 everything was going so well 😅 Now idk who this person is. Needed it
Thank you! My almost 3-year old is crazy smart. It's hilarious (and sometimes not 😄). I'll try these tips!

This is so helpful! I’m in the thick of threenager years and 😰 phew it’s exhausting. And just wanted to say, timers are magical!
Thank you for the tips 😊
I hope they help!! ❤❤

This couldn’t have come at a more perfect time, my older son just turned 3 last week and I need all the tips 😅
You got this! ❤️
Great tips!!
Thank you ❤

I love that! I struggle with the multiple activities and toys at once 😅
Thanks so much for the tips. You are an amazing inspiring mum thanks so much for sharing it really helps xx
❤❤❤
thanks!
Love this! Iv definitely got a THREENAGER on my hands 🥴
Haha it’s a fun and trying time! 😂❤
How early/what age did you start implementing the sleepy time alarm?
I think just before 3, but I think anytime is a good time to try to start it.
My daughter turned 3 today. This is perfect lol 😂
I hope these tips help!! ❤❤❤
Three is such a fun age, I should of mentioned that in this video too 😅
very useful tips! but isn't the 4th contradicting a bit the 1st rule? because some of them they may not forget. very clever idea though! maybe not make it about sending it to santa

Good eork on threenager and tip too

You’re still doing an amazing job! This is super normal behavior for this age, we’re just here to nurture them through it :)
Love the advice thank you! I have a 1.5 year old but feel like these times will be here soon 😂
Mine started her threenanger stage early and oh man.. it’s no joke lol
It’s my daughter’s 3rd birthday today!!!
Happy birthday, and welcome to the 3 party🎉❤
Mine is a great negotiator 😅
I had a 3 year old in 2020. Still traumatised from that whole year 😂😂
Love you videos, Brittany, but something is strange with your sound quality on this and your previous video. It could be me but I'm not noticing it on any other videos I've been watching. Just wanted to let you know.
Eeek I got a new mic, I was hoping the quality was the same but you pointed out the exact videos with the new mic 😅
@@brittanybalyn Yea, it just sounds a bit fuzzy in the background to me on those two videos 🤔
Yep, I’ve noticed it too. I thought I was imagining it, glad I’m not the only one hearing it 😅
@@Sindayah me too!
Me… 24y/o dog mom with no kids: yes that totally makes sense!!
Hahaha 😂❤

There’s no negotiation going on in this house what I say goes
Never lie to your child - but let’s take a picture and send it to Santa. That’s pathetic.
