From my experience im saying, dont get in to the trap of what would happen to your job, your futute etc, and succumb to pressure by management. Whatever you do, make sure you learn the technology properly and keep up to date and so automatically your confidence will be high and you wont be hesitating to jump to another job if you have a bad manager in current. It is your right to work with dignity and respect and that includes not overworking. You cant force a whiteman stay after 5.00 pm, they will show middle finger and leave. Similarly, dont be afraid of your manager and be ready to take him on if he troubles you. They may behave like they are paying salary from their pocket. Both of you are paid by your employer. So where theres no respect, dont stay. It all boils down to your talent. If you put effort to maintain your skill you dont have to be afraid of anyone. Dont do repetitive work that doesnt add any vakue to your learning. Do smart work, or change your job if you are not doing quality work.

14 hrs is normal for doctors ...anything excess with out sleep and proper food will lead to such diaster...
