I don’t have a source, but Matt has said a couple of years ago now (about Alex) that as long as he continues to perform well, that he’s permanent. And we all know that Alex has no issue with quality. The man is a machine with a lot of talent.

Matt is one of my biggest influences on me as a guitar player. Super humble guy. And I have even more respect for him. He won't even say who the band was that treated him and the guys like shit. Most bands would have said who it was. So massive respect to him. Humble guy and very intelligent.
Darth Green he said they opened for them during the Crusade tour, I looked it up and the only bands they toured with (opened for) were Iron Maiden, Machine Head and Metallica. So one of those, or someone else at a festival.

The Crusade came out in late 2006 and toured with the following big bands near that time: Machine Head, In Flames and Iron Maiden. One of these bands has to be who he is referencing. I saw Trivium in March 2007 with Machine Head and I loved it. His vocals were struggling then so my guess is Machine Head. Lamb of God were also on that tour but LoG and Trivium kinda grew at the same time. I can see a young Heafy being into Machine Head and they were just dicks to them.

Nope, I don't think it was In Flames. He visited Björn's restaurant, had dinner with Anders and they toured together during the In Waves cycle. They are even about to do another tour together and Matt is following them on Instagram
