Thank you for this post. I have that similar guitar, Ibanez AR2000 - 2002 made. One of the best feeling neck guitar I have owned. Sound great with stock Ibanez super 58. Super resonant. The only thing I can"t get along about the guitar is that shinny gold hardware.
Thank you for this. I love the look of the AR and refuse to pay Gibson's ridiculous prices but I do wonder if investing in Gibson type pickups for it would spruce it up.
thank you for your interest; I can confess that the Ibanez is way better than the LP, here anyway. Installing Gibson pup's, why not, but considering the rarity of the Ibanez (urban legend says 50 or 100 made!) , modifying it would be a nonsense. Cheers
Which one have more sustain? I would like to buy an ar3000 or a LP custom. I already has an ibanez ar500 (43years old) that is in not so good condition and has loose a lot of sustain. Your videos are the only ones on TH-cam where it is possible to listen the ar3000 😊
Hello ; the biggest sustain is the dark LP Custom, it keeps the note like no other, but it weighs 5kg, it is soooo heavy if you play seated it ruins your leg after 30mn, and the body dive is awful. When you stand up it balances beautifully but it ruins your shoulder ha ha. Anyway it's a friend's guitar. The Ibanez is mine and is a killer guitar in every aspect : 4.3 kg, great tones in all pick up positions, it stays crispy with some growl, cuts through the mix. Beautiful note articulation. But it is rare. I am surprised you have tone issues with your vintage AR500, these Japanese Ibanez are really good and sturdy guitars.
Fireworks Paladian !! J'ADORE !!!! Randy Rhoads and Zakk Wylde on Gibson Les Paul Custom 79 !!!! On Fire ! J'aime aussi beaucoup l'Ibanez dans ces deux là et dans le Gary Moore !
the LES PAUL DARK BEAUTY CUSTOM is the epic winner easily to my eyes and ears but i also have absolute love and appreciation for this IBANEZ vintage models such the AR 3000 truly reminds me of my Black Double cutaway Les paul by Gibson talking about yet another tragically underrated epic beauty
wow fantastic playing and shootout ! Loved all but like the white Les Paul the best. I just bought an Ibanez Artist like that (with 2 phase switches also) .. Barev bro !
Pour ma part je préfère la Gibson pour son côté plus métallique et donc agressif. Mais il est vrai que l'ibanez est plus faite pour les mélodies 🥰... Un régal pour les oreilles dans tous les cas ! Merci.
The black LP for rhythm and the ibanez for leads. Both sound amazing and sound like they would blend great
L'Ibanez est non seulement la plus belle mais aussi celle qui sonne le mieux je trouves.
Pareil...

Very good guitars indeed. Well, the gold is a matter of taste ;) rock on
Thank you for making this comparison!
Thank you for watching! Rock on
The LP sounds better here, but I've played both. The Artist felt better in my hands. I'll go with the Artist. I can dial in the tone I want.

Randy Rhoads fck YEAH ! well done bro
The black beauty has more balance tone than the others.
The Gibson sounded best to me, but, your precise technique made them all sound very good.
Can you play Fleetwood Mac and the Beatles on your Ibanez AR?
Sorry I don't have this repertoire ;)

Thanks ; it's actually the first time someone prefers the white one, that's funny ; thank you for your interest, cheers!
Song?
Still got the blues - Gary Moore
Comparison les paul custom vs les paul standard (usa les paul custom vs japan les paul standard specification) ? 😉
Good playing ! Thanks!
Hello, thanks; well it is what you say, a comparison between the Custom and the Std specs, as well as between USA and Japan 🇺🇸🇯🇵
Les Paul & Ibanez a tie for me. The white guitar had a thin, boring tone.
Gary Moore on that red Les Paul was bad ass.

The white one sounds amazing
Japanese know-how ;)
