Hi, I am from Malaysia and I only started lifting like 3 months ago. I would say that I am binge-watching with your episodes. I am so happy that I was able to came across your channel.
And I can say that I am in the right path on my fitness journey. The best things I learned from you guys that I am applying in my life and seeing results is not going on restricting diet, rather increased my calories first and I can say that my metabolism went great, not over exercising and not overdoing cardio and importance of sleep. I am also no longer abscessed with weigh that I was used to. More power to your shows and I hope more people get to watch you guys so everyone will have a correct approach to fitness. Fitness is not a destination, it is a process and I love the process

You guys are amazing. Im so excited for Symmetry. I’ve been working in a factory for years doing the same movements 425+ times a night and I’ve been trying my ass off to mix in prime and prime pro with anabolic and performance to build some muscle while fixing all of the imbalances and strain put on my body by my only means of putting food on the table for my family. I’ve slowly been strengthening weak points and loosening up tight spots, but the nature of my work means I’m always at a regression on one side or another whether through compensation during trying to fix and address everything or the inevitable parts of my job that force me to move a specific way with one side of my body because it’s impossible to alternate. Im thankful for everything MAPS and mind pump has done for my body and my longevity, but I believe Symmetry is what will truly help me the most when trying to build muscle and regain my long lost physique without adding to already nagging and potential future injuries. Just hope to be considered. Thanks again guys

God it’s like y’all are reading my MIND! This is exactly what I’ve been prioritizing for the past couple months. In high school and middle school I was a great athlete, but since then my athleticism has fallen off of a cliff. I thought that was just the price to pay for forgoing sports for weightlifting. Well all I did was reinforce my bad recruitment patterns. I started feeling all kinds of pain all over my body and constantly plateaued. (Training with personal trainers btw) I had never even HEARD of mobility until I found pump. I’m 27 now and I am so thrilled that there’s a program for fixing dysfunction. Really just thrilled

You think this would help someone that’s overweight?

    • @chirbin0nidhogg623
      @chirbin0nidhogg623 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@nazinas21 for sure. I think theoretically, and I’m not an expert to be fair, that focusing on your imbalances for a long stretch of time will only make adding new and more difficult compound lift exercises easier in the future, better mechanics, less pain. And if you’re overweight then I would bet that ANY kind of exercise would only be beneficial. I personally need to lose about 20lbs as well and I’m going to try doing the whole Symmetry program as one means of losing weight. I hope you try it too. And if you do then good luck. 👍

This hits home on so many levels. In high school in the 80s, typing was not mandatory so I never took it. I was a single finger pecker (insert your own joke here) and a little over a year ago I decided to learn how to properly type. I got decent at it but I realized that the slower I go, the less mistakes I make. Fast forward to a few months ago when I started my fitness journey at the age of 55. I was so weak that I could not do a good form pushup on my knees. I set 3 goals for myself; lose weight, do 15 pushups, and do one pull up. I got down to my goal weight, I've done 21 real nips to ground, good form, on my toes push ups and I'm still working on my pull up. I'm doing assisted pull ups, inverted rows, eccentric pullups and I will now incorporate isometrics to help out. All of y'all's advice has been a blessing to me. Keep giving that sound common sense advice. We appreciate you guys.

I got so excited when I got the email that this program is available! I had a inguinal hernia repair in 2016 and it has had a devastating effect on my movement patterns. My squats and deadlifts haven’t felt right since and I’ve been trying to do a lot of unilateral and balance work to remedy it. It’s gotten better but my working weight has dropped significantly and it takes so much longer to add weight to my lifts.

  • @mansplain3626

I was introduced to the show by my brother-in-law and I’ve been hooked for 5 months now (staying current and binging old episodes.) I’m in phase 3 of Anabolic and loving it. I also purchased performance and aesthetic to run one after the other. I can tell I favor my right side while sitting and standing and I have tightness and soreness in my right hip flexor and my right flute. I used to work as a garbage man and last year I was promoted to supervisor. My body has definitely been affected negatively from my years throwing garbage and now as a supervisor I’m either stuck in a vehicle or in an office chair. I feel as if I’ve gone from one compromising situation to another. MAPS Symmetry would make all the difference in the world to me. Thanks for everything you guys do and keep up the good work!

Excellent show as always. Currently I have MAPS Anabolic, Prime and the Sexy Athlete bundle. I used to lift regularly and would often follow a 5x5 or more strength gaining programs while also trying to fight weight fluctuations. In a year I would go anywhere from 215-250. Because of life and injuries mostly to the lower back and shoulders I have cut down on my workouts/not going to the gym as a normal routine.
Right now I am hovering around 270-280 at 33% body fat. From my dieting practices, often going low calorie, I can only consume about 2200 calories for maintenance and I'm trying to reverse diet to get the calories up so its easier to maintain a certain weight.
With the amount of body fat (weight) I need to lose I'm trying to figure out how to go about losing weight so I can keep it off. Right now I'm diet wise I need to continue to try to at least eat at maintenance while slowly increasing my calories. Workout wise start back up with Anabolic supplementing Prime on trigger session days to help get form back. Once I run that I am looking at going into the symmetry program, followed by performance, back to symmetry, and then run Aesthetic.
Would love to hear if I'm on track or if I should change anything?

Hey guys thank you for your wisdom and knowledge! I have major imbalances in different parts of my body that are visible due to previous injuries and I have not been able to fix it. However, i'm going to take your advice and start doing only unilateral and isometric movements. I'm going to slow down my pace and focus on mirroring both sides. As simple as this advice is I do agree that a lot of people don't practice this unless their bodybuilders and/or competing. I'm going to stick with this method to correct my imbalances until I see some major improvements. Thanks again for the advice. Peace and blessings to you guys!❤🙏🏾💪🏾

I can't wait to get my hands on this program and it couldn't have come at a more perfect time. Unilateral training is something I found early on by actually watching a episode of Nitro Circus with Travis Pastrana. He was showing off his gym and a simple pulley push-up rig that he had. he talked about how he could do more push-ups on this pulley system then some of his cousins friends that were all D1 football players. After that I always tried to make sure that I was good on both sides. But have always struggled with programming a complete workout focused on it. I recently jacked up my knee and I've caught myself as I go to squat at work or working out my hip shifting to put more weight on my strong knee and it has drove me nuts. I also just recently started Performance. not knowing how to change your programming I've just lowered weight so I still had something structured to follow.

Love the show and everything fitness and lifestyle that you all preach - nothing but facts! About a month a guy one of your pods focused on size vs strength, and Adam asked the question "If you could only prescribe two programs for a full year for size and for strength, what would that look like?" I decided to dedicate the next year trying out Adam's recommended size "program" - Aesthetic + Performance for a round. Excited to get going again! But now, man, Symmetry seems like it is going to be awesome. Keep up the great content, fellas!

Ever since I found out about mind pump My clients Have seen amazing Results and Have saw Me grow much more as A Trainer. In college I always used To Train my Friends free of charge with the little information I learned but I knew I had so much more to learn. The hardest part was time! Working part time while being a Full time student is Pretty time consuming . Luckily I found out About the podcast . I remember being in all my classes with AirPods listening to the show every single day all day long. The information & knowledge I’ve gained and passed on is So useful. You guys keep me motivated and I’m glad I chose this career path because of trainers/ coaches like you Guys!

Today’s podcast felt like you guys were talking directly to me. I had a knee injury 10 years ago that seemed so insignificant that I did not seek treatment. I have gotten X-rays since then, but no problem was diagnosed. I accepted years ago that I would no longer perform barbell squats since my knee would pop on every rep. Today I became more conscious of just how much I use my right knee to compensate for the weakness in my left knee. I completely overlooked the possibility of isometric exercises to regain strength and symmetry. I added some to my workout this afternoon, and have a renewed hope that I might be able to perform squats again in the near future.

I suffered from injury’s issues with gut health and other personal issues and I can honestly say I’m a walking testimony on how much you guys helped me out!! You and your team are truly genuine. And I just want to say thank you!!!! I love you guys!!! Mindpump!!!

Just recently came across your content about a month or so ago and have been doing the deep dive ever since. I’ve been working out since I was a teen (now in my 40’s) and am consistently amazed at how much I was doing wrong or not doing at all. Thanks for all the knowledge and inspiration.

Your show has helped me get back into working out again. I packed on twelve pounds of muscle back on in a month after taking a year off entirely of weight lifting. (230# a year ago, down to 202# back up to 215#. Lived mostly in a deficit for that year) I have been looking for a program and this symmetry program is incredibly intriguing! Keep doing what you guys are doing, you are helping more people than you know!

🤯 I have partially torn and/or torn labrums in my shoulders. It’s my weak point but I was the typical start with my stronger side and try to match it with the other side. Changing that moving forward!

What I like most about it, is how you really simplify the science around health and wellness for the average Joe. Every time I watch the podcast, I leave with some new obtained knowledge and gems. If I am selected for your program, I’ll document my progress and create a TH-cam channel to show others.

It’d be awesome to do MAPS Symmetry while I’m maintaining in the summer, so I can main-gain and fix my squat plateau. 🤩

45 yr old male here, not "unfit" but about 10kg overweight so want to bring that down to a more reasonable level and get a healthy dad bod. Been listening for about last 6 months (and hammering through interesting looking back episodes), learning a lot about fitness and enjoying the banter you all do as well 😃

Maybe in the near future you guys could do an episode regarding isometrics. How to correctly utilize it and how to fit in your routine/program and the best isometrics exercise for each body part.
More power to the MindPump team!

Great podcast! Perfect as I'm coming out of a hip injury due to an imbalance in my hip symmetry left to right as well as weaker glutes. This program would be perfect! Not currently in a position to purchase it as a working student but taking everything I can from your podcasts... I'm like considering spending $97 not in my budget on this because it's something I've been tryyying to fix but not sure where to go with.
