The humble and hilarious Joel McHale (Community, The Soup) joins me this week and talks about everything from his experience and future on Community to his Pacino-level rage he has with inanimate objects on a day to day basis.
Joel talks about his time and shared experience working with the legendary Chevy Chase and his chance beginnings on the iconic ‘The Soup’.
We also discuss how he manages his dyslexia when working, unnecessary criticism from movie/show critics, and his new movie called Happily.

I'm not gonna lie - I have to agree with Lexbaum that McHale was a better fit. I also think Impastor was perfectly cast and I miss the hell out of that show.

One of the best things about Joel is that I've seen a lot of interviews with him and each one feels unique.
He is so hilarious as Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat animated film. I can't wait to see his return in Stargirl season 2 as Sylvester Pemberton.

I didn't discover Joel McHale until my sister told me about Community in the Summer of 2012. I binged the first 3 seasons that summer in preparation to going to college. It was conforming to know that these college characters formed a family and that gave me confidence that I can meet new friends my incoming Freshman year.
After watching this and listening to their experiences, I truly believe that we all have self-esteem issues.

Michael, you are funny. One of the funniest things I've ever seen is the Smallville where you got split into a good and evil Lex and those meddling kids are "Lex would kill us?" and you go "I THOUGHT ABOUT IT!" . Master delivery of moment.

glad to see joel did so well. only knew him from the almost live and early talk soup days so it's always a little surprising to see him in such mainstream stuff. good for him. wonder if any of the other almost live cast did much after that ended. i guess bill nye kinda counts but there was some solid talent on that show. especially near the end when they had expanded the cast a bit.
You should check out Community if you haven't already. It's one of the greatest sitcoms you'll ever see.
