I met Laura at a friend's wedding. Couldnt believe it was her as we were in Nova Scotia Canada but it was her cousin. SHe was so nice, so down to earth and had a conversation just like anybody would. Great person.
Great. I have interacted with Laura many times on several occassions. Have had great conversations with her. She is always down to Earth, friendly, and nice. She always makes you feel respected and welcome. Someone I always find very comfortable and pleasant to talk with. Maybe because I've dealt with many of the same things over the years or similar ones. She is just a regular person like anyone else. Someone I have come to know quite personally and has helped me in personal struggles. A great friend she has become.

@@shel0016 Absolutely. It is my cerebral palsy struggles she has helped me in. Since she has dealt with her own and very similar ones in meningitis before. Have told her she was meant to be Supergirl.
I’ve seen her in a lot of stuff and she’s a good actress. She has the problem of being too attractive for most roles. Every character she plays has to have the added trait of “and she’s beautiful.” Like in Coffee Shop, like we’re supposed to believe this stunning woman is having trouble getting a date.
@@sleepinggorilla Yeah I've also seen her in a few things as well, a movie or two, Smallville and Supergirl. She's a good actress for sure. haha yeah well I think all those chick flicks or hallmark kind of movies are way unrealistic, not just her but most women in those that "have trouble dating" are gorgeous or hot know what I mean? lol

"Wait, aren't you that really, really hot girl that I just saw with a wig on? No I'm pretty sure you are, I took some mental photos." I like Tyler Hoechlin as Superman because he has a good but not extreme physique. He can look like a normal guy that works out. Where as Henry Cavill is a beast.

Heard about a potential Smallville animated series. It's being labeled as a "sequel" to Smallville, yet it will always be in a separate universe because it's animated. Then I was thinking about if Smallville returned as a live-action series. If it's not about the Superman years, why not after? Smallville covered the pre-Superman years, what if it then explored the post-Superman years? What if Clark and Lex are old men that have to reluctantly come together to combat a greater evil? Then they have to slowly rekindle the bromance. Think along the lines of Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr getting back together in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. ""All those years wasted fighting each other, Clark. To have a precious few of them back." A limited series. Clark and Lex, together again, at the end of it all. No flights, no tights. I'm addicted to this idea.
First time watching or listening to this podcast. I'd never heard of this actress. This is one of the most engaging and interesting interviews I've ever seen.

My Uncle Denny passed in March of 2019 and then 2 months later I lost my Aunt Peggy and then last year on Christmas 🎄I lost my Aunt Ginny too. So I know what you're going through too
Incredible discussion! Its one that everyone has, what makes one happy, or successful!?
Rosey, you are emotionally intelligent smart! You are a fabulous communicator, a great friend and an awesome host. The empathy you possess - is a real superpower. Always full of compassion, self-awareness, and all these attributes are reflected in you as an actor and an interviewer!
Love you, mate!! xx
P/S Laura is stunning as always! I hope she finds what makes her abundantly happy and content! Love the chemistry between you two and how you are just genuinely good people ❤️
Empathy is the smart. Also, your wisdom is important. You know how to apply what you know--so many have knowledge but do not apply anything.

"which part and why are you yelling"🤣🤣🤣
I love your voice Michael ❤
The ineffable Michael and his marvelous interviews!!! I've been appreciating your work. Thanks from Fortaleza city, Ceará state in northeast of Brazil. 😄😉👍👊
One of your finest interviews. Great job, everyone. Thanks for sharing so much, Laura. Good luck on your film!! Congrats!
"Which part and why are you yelling?" I love her! Damn it. I miss seeing her on my TV. I should checkout some of these movies she's been in recently.
Yes so do I always. Laura is always so lovely, funny and kind. Means a lot to me. Thoses she's done recently are great.
Love when you two get together! Awesome episode and thank you for always being so candid about such important topics.

"which part and why are you yelling?" Love her!
Always love Laura. Such a great inspiration and friend she is to me. Who has helped in personal struggles of Cerebral Palsy with dealing with very similar ones in meningitis. Always blessed to her. And loved hearing what she has to say. Yes she is also the Real Supergirl and has always been my Supergirl.
Agreed.
@@shel0016 Absolutely. It is my cerebral palsy struggles she has helped me in. Since she has dealt with her own and very similar ones in meningitis before. Have told her she was meant to be Supergirl.
I think Laura really is Kryptonian because she doesn't age is still looks as good as she did in Smallville. Lol
Yes, she certainly is. And she has that great Kryptonian strength as well.
@@nickhydier1201 Yup. 👍
I’ve seen her in a lot of stuff and she’s a good actress. She has the problem of being too attractive for most roles. Every character she plays has to have the added trait of “and she’s beautiful.”
Like in Coffee Shop, like we’re supposed to believe this stunning woman is having trouble getting a date.
@@sleepinggorilla Yeah I've also seen her in a few things as well, a movie or two, Smallville and Supergirl. She's a good actress for sure. haha yeah well I think all those chick flicks or hallmark kind of movies are way unrealistic, not just her but most women in those that "have trouble dating" are gorgeous or hot know what I mean? lol
@@MKF30 Even with her playing Supergirl. How are you not going to notice a supermodel just because she puts on street clothes? "Wait, aren't you that really, really hot girl that I just saw with a wig on? No I'm pretty sure you are, I took some mental photos."
I like Tyler Hoechlin as Superman because he has a good but not extreme physique. He can look like a normal guy that works out. Where as Henry Cavill is a beast.
“Laura thank you for allowing me to be inside of you” is funny cuz it really happened.
I didn't know about this (I never take an interest in who celebrities date). That said, don't you think it would be funny if this is what he actually did say afterwards? Just super (hehe) polite: "Laura thank you for allowing me to be inside of you". Zip.
hahahhahhaha
Where did he say that? I must have missed it :(
It made me laugh when he said that 🤣
@@raistlinsghost LMFAO! That's how he finishes, "thank you for letting me be inside of you. This has been Michael Rosenbaum." Puts on hat and leaves the room
"We dated."
I feel Michael and Laura have two very different opinions on how that went.

Hats off for scoring that searing hotness.
I really enjoyed this! Very honest and open! Nice to see the guest in the same room.
I lost my mother right in the first year of the pandemic to brain cancer, so I can relate to having your mental health be in tatters during the Covid lockdowns. I hope you're doing better now Mike. Your portrayal of Lex was one of the highlights of my childhood. Wish you were in more episodes.
I'm so sorry for your loss, may she rest in peace. Thank you for sharing.
God give you Comfort and Strength🙏🏾❤
As soon as I noticed how guarded she was during the show I said to myself “Yeah, she and Michael dated”😆
I didn't see it. But she burped...
Did they really date?
@@Sunflwrbtch Yes. He said so during the interview
@@MistaLovaMan And she wasn't thrilled he brought it up. It was an odd flex, really.
@@jsharp3165 Agreed
You are people smart! You are great at being able to speak with and interact with others, both one on one and at large events like the cons. Not everyone can do that.
Laura was always great as Supergirl on Smallville. A talented actress!
You're emotionally and interpersonally smart. Don't sell yourself short, Rosey!
Michael, your talking about the notion of chasing happiness resonated with me. Stumbled on your podcast by accident and now I listen weekly. Never knew who you were before since I did not watch Smallville. Thank you for your insightful podcast.
Michael is baseline respectful to every guest - but after they revealed they dated before 😂, I begin seeing how extra respectful he is towards Laura. Like she allows Laura to playfully cut him off in a sentence and tease him really. 😂 love this and thanks for this, made me happy ❤
How does she not remember that she had a ship in Smallville. She ABSOLUTELY did.
Yes, she did.
@@nickhydier1201 Because she never saw it. That was added in post.
@@PrevailPress Makes sense.
Certainly miss all of you guys from the Smallville days, but very impressed highly entertained with your podcast/TH-cam channel Michael.

Great interview, glad I watched it. She seems like a real sweetheart and comfortable in who she is as a person and an actor. Look forward to seeing more of her in the future!
She is a sweetheart indeed. And is a great person and actor. Laura is someone who I have come to know personally and who helps me greatly in personal struggles. Have had numerous encounters with her. She has become a great friend.
Thank you Michael for getting Laura which I admit she's my fave live action Kara Zor-El, & as a guitarist I've been looking for inspiration so I recently was able to hear and thoroughly enjoy Sun Spin's music so getting to learn more about Laura's life and be moved by your music have marked that these are the best days of my life!

It's cool that you can have guests in your home studio again. You rock.
Always a great interview with Laura. Loved it. 👍
This was definitely one of my top favourite episodes. Really loved this one, the conversations you and Laura had. Also kudos to Ryan on the Top Tier shout outs. He did an amazing job ^_^ Thank you for another amazing episode as always Michael ❤️ ^_^
Can't believe I've only just found smallville...Rosey and Laura smashed it.
Love the podcast 💪💪
Man, I forgot all about the V show and her being in it. That was a good show, too bad they cancelled.
Good episode, she's a doll.
It was a great show with a nice spin on the original.
Laura is, always very sweet and humble.
I've loved watching Laura for many years now. She is amazing and I'm glad that she is doing well and got to make her own film. Great video and interview!
Yes, I loved Laura myself for so long, going back to the Smallville days. She has become over the years for me a source of strength in personal struggles with cerebral palsy with her dealing with very similar ones of meningitis over the years. As well as a few others. A great friend she has been.
You should definitely invite Laura again!!! Like ASAP. So fun to watch, fantastic job.
I felt the “ex” vibe between the two of them.. the edge in her voice..
I can not speak to how smart you are however I can say that you are an excellent interviewer..at times seemingly effortless
"You're not an idiot." - Ryan 🤣🤣🤣🤣
She is my favorite Supergirl !! Not only because of her looks but the attitude that she brought to her ❤
Yes mine as well. She was meant to be Supergirl.
Mines too:-).
"I'm medium smart, but that's okay" WOW now that's a T-shirt right there!!!!! :)
Love watching these videos. So down to earth and "real". Truly appreciate your talent and ability behind the mic.
I loved Smallville. Every actor was great. You were one of my favorites Michael, as well as Tom. I still love Allison Mack. She just got hypnotized.
14:59 “Which part and why are you yelling?” Thank you!
I didn't know she was this cool. I love her honesty
Yes, she is. And a very kind, caring, and empathetic one. Always loved her. Someone who is a great friend.
Michael seems so polite and intelligent as an interviewer. I enjoy his acting, and I think he has a great thing going with this podcast.
Love the "How ya doin" segment. Mental health checks are extremely important 🙏💚
great interview Michael, Laura is awesome! You guys are fun to watch, she seems very grounded and smart and cool.
Yes, Laura is. As well as extremely humble and kind. Love her very much.
Gr8 interview and I yelled out thats SMALLVILLE SUPERGIRL when I saw handmaids. 👏👏👏🍻
Yes, absolutely. I did the same. Love Laura as Supergirl.
Great conversation! Interesting to hear how you both have coped during the pandemic: so many quarantines for Laura and Michael dealing with losses. ♥️
Michael's Clint Eastwood impression is so spot on it's scary
Great how open you both were on this interview. Very refreshing!! By the way, you were amazing in Smallville Michael. You made a really good villain!
Lex Luthor is one of my favorite characters in comic books, and I really enjoy what you bring to him in Smallville. The dimensions and layers, I can feel it when I watch. Thank you for that!
Seriously, the version of Lex Luthor on Supergirl is soooo lame in comparison
Man, this may be the best thing i've listened to in a long time.
Yes!!! I have been looking forward to this the return of Laura! Lex and Kara 💙 Amazing as always Micheal 🎉👏
Very fun interview, I actually really enjoyed that!
You are a phenomenal actor never doubt that! You are absolutely, hands down the best Lex no matter what!! No offense to Gene Hackman, Kevin, Jesse, either Jon/John or any of the animated series and anywhere else he may have appeared, but you nailed that role and no one else could ever top it!

Michael you are fantastic as a interviewer
It can be animated and still connected to the love action show. Star Wars is doing this now.
First time watching or listening to this podcast. I'd never heard of this actress. This is one of the most engaging and interesting interviews I've ever seen.
She played the female lead in a sci-fi show called Bitten, and she was a werewolf.
@@cygnus53 And even more so she was Supergirl on Smallville.
Got to say Michael is such a good interviewer
Michael! Fade into you by mazzy Starr is a trigger for me too.. it’s crazy I heard it once as a kid and didn’t think much of it but now im older and it just hits hard. Such a good song. I came from TalkVille and and I love both podcasts but this one is golden.
Because of her sincerity i like her Even more 💙 Good luck with new projects lovely Laura
Yes, so do I. And her humbleness as well. She is always so lovely.
Love it! You two are so comfortable with each other, Michael. Nice vibes. 😘
It'good to see Laura back again, hopefully you Will get Cassidy Freeman / Kristin kreuk to come by at you show in the upcoming episode
Kristin has an episode already :)
It was great hearing from Laura. Love you guys!
@Michael rosenbaum No, don't use it.
I was bummed that V was canceled on a cliffhanger
The original was much, much better. Too bad because I've wanted a revival of V for a long time.
Great podcast with Laura V and loving your new work!
