    The I series of LED grow lights by Groplanner are good quality and a very good efficiency LED grow light.
    I suspected the acrylic cover over the LEDs would reduce PAR output. However this light delivers a very good system efficiency of 2.22 µmols/watt (usable PPF/watt) at 16" or 40cm hanging height in a 5 x 5 (1.5M x 1.5M) grow area and an average PAR intensity of 619 µmols/m²/sec which is a good performance level.
    On board dimming whihc can be daisy chained for multiple units
    I am happy to highly recommend this 'I' series of LED grow lights from Groplanner

      i didn't have enough money to buy a real grow light a while back, and made my own out of cheap 12watt led bulbs, and one cheap trifold garage led light that was like 35watts or something. It was 6,500k and then i used two of the 2,700k 12watt led bulbs tucked in next to it. I took the covers and diffusers off of them, and built a shroud out cardboard and heavy duty aluminum foil. And i have to be honest, i was amazed. Never seen anything like that before, lol. Everyone in the "gardening, vegetables, seedlings world"...always used 5000k or 6500k and that was it. I noticed that the plants using just the 5k did Not grow as much as the ones under 6500k. There wasn't enough Blue in the 5000k, and it dang sure didn't have enough Red.
      I found it was afterall, the Blue in the 6500k led lights that were making the plants grow. But only half-assed, lol. No wonder folks used them to start seedlings. They had enough blue to make them grow. But when i added the 2700k right next to the 6500k tightly spaced....oh whoa, my gosh the plants started growing like crazy and looking very healthy and shaped the right shape. With the full spectrum led technology 6500k and 2700k they were getting their much needed Reds and Blues and loving the colors inbetween by mixing those two kelvins together. All i know is this much..my little home made grow light makes plants grow like crazy, and that's all i know, lol.

      According to my logics, an led grow light with a high CRI value of 90 + and having exactly 50/50 ratio of 2,700k and 6500k leds....would grow some plants like crazy. And the overall shape would be healthy and symmetrical. Because an even amount of Reds and Blues would be feeding the plant, with the greens and everything else. If you wanted a Bloom enhancer option, then let it crank up several more 2,700k and maybe a few deep red leds, to maybe make the ratio of Reds to Blues around 75% Reds, and 50% Blues...
      I noticed the plants didn't grow as much under 3000k because they didn't get enough Reds.
      I noticed the plants didn't grow as much under 5000k because they didn't get enough Blues.

    I'm pretty sure that you could beat the 2.22 PPFD if you removed the acrylic covers. At 1:27 you can see the diodes reflecting back up off of the plastic. It's nice to have the protection but I would take them off. It might mess with the warranty, so be aware of that.

    With 756 diodes in every 150 quantum board on the O series I think I would go that route 😀😄
    So 4 of those together or even 6 would go super hard I would imagine

    • @georgelovesdirt
      @georgelovesdirt 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The O series is sooooooo slept on right now. It’s powerful enough to use in commercial applications but they messed up really badly by making them without external buttons for dimming or on/off or jacks. I have 2x now and they are BEASTING!!!! 150 watts in that tiny frame. They are bright AF and penetrate deep. Tons of undergrowth. Such a sick light even with its networking limits. Best light on the market for home growers. $480 shipped for a 600 watt modular light set that will absolutely beam tf out of your plants. Latest spectrum too, they have the IR diodes.

    • @georgelovesdirt
      @georgelovesdirt 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@winstonpratt604 I’m gunna be honest they run pretty hot and it would have been waaaaaay better if they had given them remote drivers. Nothing proper ventilation can’t handle. I was growing back in the CMH era so the heat is easy for me to handle, still not nearly as bad as HIDs. The drivers might be able to be rigged up to be remote, they look like they are just bolted to the board. The lights come with little clamps to latch them together but if you used threaded metal dowels and Allen bolts you could bolt them together in the same 2x2 orientation but spaced out to cover 5x5 and it would still have wild numbers and also help with heat dissipation. It has a protective lens but it is easily removable and the numbers would be even higher. Absolutely insane lights
