@Trekers The flood was in 1936 and it was the SECOND time the area had flooded. San Angelo is ACTUALLY the county seat, but ONLY because the original county seat was flooded and washed off the map. It is actually where the Fort Concho imported supplies to build from. Look up the town of Ben Ficklin .... You will find A LOT more history TIED to the history of San Angelo. Should look up the Jumano indian and the Concho Pearl. One of the ONLY FRESH water pearls with a pinkish-purple color. I'm a native San Angelo and am glad to see that my hometown has made such an impression on people not native from the area. Thank You for your videos and I hope that you will visit again 💯🙏
Did you look at the Bald Eagle (north shore) camping loop as well? There are 12 nice sites with awesome trees etc. The restroom building is quite a walk but it's not just a vault. It's plumbing etc. Super hot shower there as well. :)
