A good name for this personal palette could be “Dish Water Soap Bubbles” because many of the shadows have that multicolored sheen like bubbles in the sink as you wash dirty dishes

Okay, so what you’ve done here reminds me of the Wayne Goss palettes and his approach to palette building. A lot of people on TH-cam seem unimpressed with the “color story” he chooses, but I love it because its not really a color story as much as a collection of tools for developing an idea. It requires a vision rather than offering a visual inspiration up front. No one is really doing that with pre-made palettes because they don’t attract the average consumer. To me, its the perfect middle ground (or hybrid?) between Makeup Artist and Makeup Junkie!

Building a palette as a "tool" rather than for a colour story is always how I build my palettes, so this was easily my favorite of your palettes!
I honestly love this. The palette looks so understated but still beautiful, but then the swatches reveal the layers (literally) of potential. As always I love listening to you talk about technique and color while digging your fingers into product.

The potential of that color story speaks to me even if some people don’t see it. It’s attractive to the eye when you KNOW the colors individually and that’s all that matters. I dig it :).

So interesting, now I think I will also have a broadened perspective regarding new palettes. If a palette came out like this, with a much more utilitarian purpose (for creating looks like you have been describing), I think I would absolutely be interested in it. I guess the utilitarian aspect would need to be defined somewhere (e.g., marketing, description), stating what looks specifically it is useful for.
The most interesting thing to me about this palette is the blue layered over the red shade. Stunning neutrals like you chose can really be remarkable on the eye. I'm not as moved as you are by the swatches but I'm not sure that the swatch of the neutral shimmer in Ambiance would make people gaga, but it really does make me just stare at how remarkable it looks in my inner corner. I'll be interested to see your eye looks in the coming weeks.
I wish Adept was making more single shades. They are so pretty.

Saaaame 😢 I had the chance to get some stuff from the US recently and was so disappointed to see none of their singles were available. What a missed opportunity for me! I only have one of their singles and it's one of my favourite eyeshadows ever, I've been lusting for more ever since, but living in Europe I have a hard time getting my hands on them.
I feel like maybe they are trying to move towards palettes. But, hope I’m wrong.
I actually know a content creator who interviewed business owner of Adept and yes, they are planning to release single eyeshadows again but they have reformulated (or rather sold their original formula) and are currently working on the restock of the palettes they currently have and then will go back to selling singles again. This was the jist of the conversation anyway. I'm not quite sure of the timeliness of the release will be though
I think to market something like this you would need amazing photography. I love the way Pat McGrath's eyeshadows are photographed, in very low light so that all the sparkles hit. It makes you feel like you are in a glamorous disco from a byegone era. Something like that would work to market your "bad-looking" palette.
So helpful! my eye shadow stash is mostly singles and I love putting together palettes, but I don't spend enough time swatching and thinking about how they can be layered together 🤔🤩

This is so fascinating, because i recently built a really similar palette out of necessity - i was doing some makeup for a theatre production - and it has been 3 or 4 weeks and i have yet to take her apart. Even though the palette is not even close to the colours i usually put together
I totally disagree, the palette spoke to me from the thumbnail and I hadn't even seen those gorgeous swatches! It's stunning! I want it, and I'm not an eyeshadow palette person, much less neutral looking - I'm much more of a colourful exciting singles kind of person. If this was your collab eyeshadow palette I'd be all over it!

Ive recently sort of pressed some neutral pigments and been using them along with a neutral palette I'm panning, and this palette is soooo inspiring to me. I'll be using my basic panning shades along with some juicier clionadh shades and denona toppers, for sure! :)
2 days ago I decided to dismantle my palette of singles, reorganize my shadows to get reacquainted with my collection and thus get inspired to play with makeup again. In the process, I settled on a smaller (12 pan) palette and opted just for simple mid tone bronzes with sparkly toppers from Devinah and Looxi - almost exactly like your idea but a slightly different base color. So now I'm thinking maybe I subconsciously dupe HLP makeup aesthetic before it's even articulated (clearly through watching too many Hannah's videos ;), or it's a sign of a broader trend that can be seen in the new Patrick Ta palette as an example. Interesting!
Another gem from HLP! Lovely. I did a custom 10 pan with what I own last night. I REALLY wanted the PMGL divine rose. I totally duped the vibes. If anyone in the community has suggestions for a dupe of the glitter topper shade, I would be grateful!
I really think Bernovich x 02 in their sparkly shades (not glitters) is very much like that. A neutral-to-cool sparkly light champagne topper!

Honestly, if you ever do a collab it should be exactly this. Sure it would be harder to market, but not impossible if you made the layering aspect selling point. Hell you could even call it Layering and show different layered combination in the PR swatches.
To me it looks like a palette for doing something more than a bare lid but not much with the choice to take a few more steps if you so choose, so pretty! Perfect to complement/play with a red lip! As always a pleasure to watch 🌻🌻🌻
